Y34 Duelling Match #9

[Robert Kain]

Professor Kain was looking forward to seeing how the students got on with their duelling. As one of the Charms professors he took pride in seeing the spells in use, and watching some of his own students practise with one another. He welcomed the next two students to their positions, taking his own at the front of the room “Once you have bowed, you may begin,” he said, giving them the go ahead to begin their duel, and keeping an eye on the event from afar.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Mazikeen liked the duelling, she just liked using the spells she'd learn during the years to have a little fun with it. She was paired up with someone she didn't particularly know, but that didn't matter. She bowed to them and then was quick as soon as in position to fire, "Densaugeo,"

Elia Dragonova bowed to her opponent, which was a Gryffindor prefect. No doubt really good at spells. Elia would have to keep this in mind. The prefect sent out a rather gross spell, which she blocked with her shielding charm. She then send out Confundo in her direction.

Mazikeen was disappointed like anyone would be when her spell failed to hit, She was quick to stop Elia's spell from hitting her, and threw back a spell quickly, "Obscuro,"

The duel was just underway, and Elia felt that she was dealing with someone very challenging. Then again, Elia thought that of anyone anyway. She side stepped out of the way to dodge the spell that got rid of her vision, because without it, she would surely lose. The Slytherin thought quickly, and then sent the Babbling curse toward the Gryffindor.

Mazikeen watched the girl dodge her spell, but as she went to was hit by the curse, immediately beginning to babble about how her day had been. She managed in it to stop with a quick finite and then cast the stinging curse back at her.

Elia was a little shocked by how her spell actually hit, and how the Gryffindor spilled everything under the sun about her day. This sort of made her feel bad, but not enough to let the stinging spell hit her. Elia cast up a shield to protect herself from that pain. She then sent out a jelly fingers curse.
