Y34 Dueling Match #7

Leading the first batch of duelists onto the stage, Katherine gestured for them to take their positions on opposite ends, and briefly explained the rules and formalities as a refresher, though by now everyone both competing and spectating was bound to know them. With all said and done, the Headmistress took her place on a raised podium overlooking the stage and the crowd gathered around it, before taking her wand to her throat. "Bow and commence." Her voice boomed clearly, informing the competitors that they were welcome to begin.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Jenna took her place opposite from her opponent. She listens intensively as the headmistress went over the rules. Jenna already aware of them, but a brief reminder is always helpful before a match. Jenna bows respectfully and sent the first spell spiraling in Elio's direction. "Stupefy!"

Elio was more than ready to duel his first opponent and was hopping from foot to foot as he waited for it to begin. His recent argument with another Gryffindor has spurred him to practise a few more charms so he was feeling confident. He flashed a cheeky smile towards Jenna just in time to watch her cast a spell, “Protego,” he caught it, flicking his hair out of his face, “Furnunculus”.

"Is that all you've got?" Elio teased, blocking her spell once more. He hoped he'd be able to hit the Slytherin at least once and wasn't about to back down. "Expellimarmus," he called out clearly, hoping she'd become disarmed.

Elio was too busy smirking at the fact he’d managed to hit the girl with his spell to realise that she’d sent one his way. The Gryffindor was hit with full force of the jinx in his face, and suddenly he was laughing uncontrollably, tears making his way to his eyes. “Confundo,” he managed to get out between a bout of giggles, watching the see if she’d be hit too.

Elio refused to spent the time turning off his laugher, besides after everything with Rowan it was quite fun. He was concentrating hard though so noted Jenna throwing another spell out. “You’d like that!” He chuckled after blocking it. He shot back the same cheering charm to the Slytherin, hoping she’d join him in the laughter.

Jenna flares her nostrils and fails to react quickly enough to block the spell. A joyous, happiness took over her combative spirit at the moment. She was all smiles, twirling in place like a figure skater. Jenna attempted to send the slug vomiting curse at the hyena laughing hysterically in front of her.

Elio was delighted when his spell hit and she joined him in the laugher. His eyes screwed up and he could barely concentrate through his own chuckles, but he was determined not to give up. He just about managed to block the spell, grateful he would let have to throw up slugs, but in doing so the boy took too many steps towards the back left of the stage, and toppled off into the crowd, who had scattered. He landed on the stone with what would have been a groan if he could get his laughing under control. Instead the boy lay there chuckling while he realised he had been ousted.
