Y34 Dueling Match #15

Leading the first batch of duelists onto the stage, Katherine gestured for them to take their positions on opposite ends, and briefly explained the rules and formalities as a refresher, though by now everyone both competing and spectating was bound to know them. With all said and done, the Headmistress took her place on a raised podium overlooking the stage and the crowd gathered around it, before taking her wand to her throat. "Bow and commence." Her voice boomed clearly, informing the competitors that they were welcome to begin.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

She’d been the Vice President with Hayden for a year before moving to Scotland, and now that she was back she was more determined than ever to win it for her year. Instantly the Hufflepuff threw out a spell after her bow, wasting no time, “Stupefy,”

Entering the dueling tournament was something Aciano avoided the previous years until now. In his last school dueling was his strongest forte, and then he took it too far in one match with a former friend. It may as well be the main source of him getting booted out from the school entirely. Clearly, he didn't learn from his mistake. Aciano saw the tournament as his chance to get back what he did best. After bowing, he cast a protected shield and petrificus totalus.

Geo didn't know too much about her opponent. He was new and since she'd missed out on a year anyway it was hard to keep up even in the short space of time. He seemed to do alright though, blocking her spell quickly. The hufflepuff fired back her own protective spell before he could hit her with the charm. "Incendio!" she called out, hoping the fire would be a distraction.
