Y34 Dueling Match #12

Leading the first batch of duelists onto the stage, Katherine gestured for them to take their positions on opposite ends, and briefly explained the rules and formalities as a refresher, though by now everyone both competing and spectating was bound to know them. With all said and done, the Headmistress took her place on a raised podium overlooking the stage and the crowd gathered around it, before taking her wand to her throat. "Bow and commence." Her voice boomed clearly, informing the competitors that they were welcome to begin.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

She'd come second out of all the sixth years, even managing to set her best friend on fire which meant that she wasn't going to hold back. She bowed and got into position opposite Simon. "Engorgio!" she started quickly, not giving him a chance to react first.

Simon didn't know his opponent particularly well, they were in the same year but he hadn't really ever spoken with her. He bowed to her as the duel got started, frustrated when she was the one to cast the first spell. He used a protego to stop her spell, and then with a little thought he cast back, "Langlock,"

Leda was cackling when Simon tried to use Langlock on her, blocking it quickly before it could take effect. “Levicorpus” she said, thinking it would be funny to see the Ravenclaw dangling.

Simon dodged out the way of the spell, wondering why this girl had wanted him to be completely bald and the part veela knew she wasn't the only one in a duel setting who would want that. So, he decided to send the same spell back to her, an instant scalping hex.
