Jon walked the two sixth year students onto the dueling platform, confident that they were old enough to understand how the dueling tournament worked. After assigning them different ends of the platform he explained the rules for the sake of formality and promptly stepped away to allow their duel to begin.​

Please refer to the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.

Rose had done exceptionally well for herself last time she had entered the duelling competition, and it was something she was interested in continuing. While the sport was far from anything she dreamed of doing professionally, she did rather enjoy it. The Ravenclaw took to the stage, lead by her head of house, and bowed toward Hayden. Quickly, the girl brought her wand up, pointed at the boy's chest. "Petrificus Totalus." She incanted, not totally expecting it to hit him, but still pleased to cast the first spell.
