Y28 Dueling Match #4

[Aeon Summers]

With the two contestants for the round in tow, Professor Summers lead them through the chamber, stopping short of a long, raised platform. "Alright, take your positions here, and here." He stated, motioning briefly to the far north and south sides of the platform. He explained the usual rules to follow, and how the point system applied to ensure a winning side. Stepping back, he allowed for a safe distance between himself and the duellists, before giving a thumbs up to begin. ​

Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! Below is a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, or unable to cast anymore spells, you have lost. If you run out of points, you also lose.

Jerara wasn't much of a fighter really, but the prospect of being able to use magic, to fight with magic, was just oh so appealing to him. He thought he would be completely limited in the spells he could use, some of the ones he read about were far too advanced for him, though he deeply desired to use them. He stood at the opposite end facing an exceedingly pretty slytherin boy, but Jerara was just ready. He bowed like he was suppose to and pointed his wand at the other boy, being the first to cast a spell, "Tarantallegra" he said, this was one of the spells he had read about and knew he could do.

Asmodeus Snow wasn't even sure why he had bothered with such a trivial club, but any chance to make someone suffer and he would take it. But the one person he wanted to make suffer was not even in his year. Still, it was better than doing nothing. He bowed to his opponent, before his red eyes narrowed. The Ravenclaw took the first shot, which was a very ridiculous spell. It wouldn't even win him the tournament! Asmodeus dodged the spell, before aiming his wand and casting, "Expelliarmus!"

Jerara watched his spell carefully, watching as the other boy dodged out of the way. He focused his attention on the boy, fairly surprised to see that the boy had red eyes. But, he didn't lose his focus, and kept his wand pointed, therefore able to shield himself when the other boy's spell came hurtling towards him. Jerara wasn't sure of the rules, but he was pretty sure that if that spell hit and he lost his wand that would mean he would lose, he didn't want that, he didn't want to lose lamely. The ravenclaw gripped the wand tighter, "Petrificus Totalus," he cast back.

Asmodeus didn't have much of a drive to win this, so he imagined that this boy was Noemie Vanity. Then the flames of anger lit within his eyes, before casting a protego up. It was such a shame that he was a second year. He didn't have many of the good spells under his belt. Narrowing his eyes, he cast, "Stupefy!"

There appeared to be quite a change in the other boy, he went from what could almost be called lazy to angry, the spell he shot, Jerara had barely any time to dodge out of the way of. He looked at the spot behind him that had taken the spell before looking back at the boy. Clearly this kid had anger and power that Jerara did not, it was true his books could only take him so far. Jerara cast the trip jinx and hoped that it would land properly
