After lunch, for once Lizzie found herself knowing exactly where to go for a delivery. Although Lizzie couldn’t stand Amber, she was quite sure that her little sister was good friends with Caro, and so Lizzie hoped she had made an at least somewhat good impression on the girl, though if Caro was the one describing Lizzie to her friend, it seemed painfully doubtful. Still, Lizzie wanted to approach Sophie on a good foot, knocking cheerfully on the door to the Hogwarts Monthly room. “Sophieeeeee!” She called out brightly. “Can’t hide from Valentines day!”

Sophie was busy preparing for the new issue in the new semester, trying to hide away from all the Valentine's day nonsense. She had sent one rose herself, but didn't really expect to receive any herself. So when there was a knock on the door, she wanted to ignore it. But then her name was shouted, and she cringed. She opened the door, frowning. "I can try." She deadpanned. "What do you want?"

Lizzie was a little disappointed when Sophie greeted her with the usual grumpiness Lizzie would expect talking to her own sister, but she supposed that must be why Caro was so close with her. "Got a delivery for you!" She said brightly, refusing to be deterred by Sophie's sour attitude. "Happy Valentines Day!" She said cheerfully, picking up the yellow rose and handing it to her.

Sophie,

You will do just fine in your new role. You are a great writer. You will be a good leader for the Monthly!

Noemie

Sophie looked at Lizzie with a neutral expression. Caro didn't like her sister much, and Caro was Sophie's friend. Besides, she was annoyingly loud and a Quidditch player, so it wasn't a stretch for Sophie to dislike her. "Thanks." She said. "Bye." She took it, then closed the door to read the note. She smiled as she saw it. It was sweet of Noemie to send her a rose, and the note was really really nice. She would thank her when she saw her.

Lizzie wasn't altogether surprised to be immediately dismissed by Sophie, but it still stung a bit. It certainly seemed like she and Caro had similar attitudes, and it was a bit disheartening on a day like today. Not wanting to let Sophie's grumpiness get her down, Lizzie turned and headed off to deliver her next rose.
