Won't stop til we get enough

James loved doing things he shouldn’t, and a late-night snack. So sneaking out to the kitchen after curfew just felt like the right thing to do, even if he had only been at the school for a few days. He brought along his new friend Ruby for the fun of it, but also because she was apparently a fussy eater who didn’t seem to eat enough at dinner, maybe the house elves could make her something she actually liked instead of the generic spread they put on for the feast. James checked if the coast was clear at every corner on the way down the kitchen. It wasn’t a long trip for him coming up from the dungeons, so it was definitely one he would be making a lot. “Ok, I think it’s just in here,”. They were directly below the Great hall, which is where James had heard the kitchens were, so he pushed open the door and was immediately hit with the lingering smell of dinner. “Oh yeah, jackpot,”

Ruby crept behind James as he led them to the kitchens. She wouldn't have had a clue how to get here without him leading the way and she most definitely would have been caught by now by getting lost and walking somewhere like straight into the headmasters office by accident. She wasn’t exactly afraid of getting caught, but she just didn’t like getting told off. She also didn't want disappoint her cheerful roommates who liked group hugs, talking about their feelings and not fighting, for some reason. But when James invited her along on this adventure, Ruby didn’t say no. She was too hungry to say no. She was a little apprehensive that they would find anything she would want to eat because she was such a fussy eater, but something cooked exactly how she wanted it would be okay. She stopped at the door then let James take the lead, she stepped inside cautiously after him, “Are you sure the people cooking won’t be mad at us for sneaking in?”
