Teddy sat in the park. He wasn't in a particularly good mood. He sat, rocking Oscar in his arms, watching his two sisters play. Tracey was watching over Olivia for him. He hated living like this, he shouldn't have to be a parent of three at fifteen. There wasn't really much he could do about it though, he could hardly trust his step mother to take care of them in her current state.

Looking down at the baby, Teddy smiled as little Oscar fell asleep. He looked over at his sisters, they were having fun. He hadn't seen Tracey smile in a while. While he was their father substitute, she was their mother. She spent a lot of her time amusing Olivia and, when he went out to get food or for a break, taking care of Oscar as well.

Teddy jumped away from his thoughts when a house elf appeared in front of him. He was silently thankful they were in a magical area and not the usual muggle park they went to. Tracey had been showing more magic so they didn't want to risk it any more. "What the...? Who the...? What do you want?" He whispered to the elf, trying not to wake Oscar.

Chalky was bored. Ever-so-bored. It had been a while since Sydney had required her assistance, or spoken to her atall, and Chalky wanted something to do... or someone to bother.
She moped around the various parks, and streets in the area, but there seemed to be very few, and very boring people around. Untill she spotted an young family sat in the park. Hmm, now thats more like it. she thought and smirked.
"Hello!" She grinned at the boy sat looking rather shocked. "Whats your name?!" She shouted at him, grinning.

Teddy looked at the elf weirdly. He hadn't met one who had not purpose or reason. "Umm, I'm Teddy Cameron. You are?" He hadn't seen her before (he assumed the elf was a girl) and she had no family symbol or name on her. He had to wonder who he knew that would have an elf like this. No one came to the front of his mind. Teddy looked over to the play set quickly to make sure his sisters were okay. They were playing on the slide for now. He then checked on Oscar, he was still asleep thankfully.

Chalky giggled and ignored the boy's question. She went over to the baby, asleep in the pushchair stared, blinked once and gently poked it's foot just once before jumping backwards. She had never seen such a small human being before, as that was what she took it to be. She looked to the boy in question, as if the say What is it?!
She huphed and looked back to Teddy Cameron. "Teddy Cameron? Thats a funny name. I've laughed at that name before... Mistress has probably spoken of you. Don't know when."

Teddy physically growled when she touched his brother. "Oi! You don't touch my family before you tell me your name and which family you work for." He ignored the mention of hearing his name before. It didn't matter, a lot of people knew, and laughed at, his name. He had become well known among teachers for his unstable mind when it came to certain subjects. Family was one of them.

Teddy grabbed the pillowcase the female elf was dressed in, fire in his eyes. "I suggest you tell me now. Wouldn't want to disapoint mistress by not being able to return to her." He spat. Teddy was protective of anything he considered his own. This included family, friends, and anyone else he had a soft spot for.

Chalky gave a little squark-like sound at the boy's outburst, it was quite unexpected. Family? She thought, so it is human...
As Teddy Cameron grabbed her, she winced, and flinched, and wiggled to brake free, before looking at the boy with a smug look, clicked her fingers and apparated to the other side of the pushchair thing. "I can't tell YOU a word, I'm here on my own business anyway!" she teased and mocked him with every word.

Teddy growled as she apparated away. He checked his sisters were safe, and not watching, before he took out his pen knife. It was old and rusty but it was still as good a weapon as any when you weren't allowed to do magic outside of school yet.

Teddy moved the push chair, making sure it was smooth so he wouldn't wake Oscar, and grabbed the elf again, this time pressing the knife into it. "How about this, you tell me now or I find out on my own and tell your mistress just how bad an elf you were. Telling all of her secrets. Sounds like you let her down to me." He knew how house elves just hated to let down their masters or, in this case, mistresses.

Chalky flinched and wiggled and squeaked. She saw the brown rusty blade coming toward her and didn't even think about apparating, just panicking. And at the mention of her mistress thinking ill of her, and maybe punishing her was beyond thought! "NO! You wouldn't! I'd do any..." She didn't meant to say it, but it was out, "I'd do anything! Just leave my mistress out of this, PLEASE!"

Teddy smirked, once again checking to make sure his sisters didn't see him harm the elf. They thought the world of him and, at the moment, he was the only good thing they had. He didn't want to ruin that for them. "Then tell me who she is, and why you're here." He wasn't sure whether to believe she was here on her own time, he had no idea who the lady was that owned her and, as such, didn't know what kind of thing he was dealing with.

Either way, Teddy thought, no one was getting near his family again. His thoughts listed female names in his mind fast, people who would put up with a cheeky elf. Someone who might want to see what was going on. Unfortunately he came up with a blank, and yet, the elf had heard of him.

Chalky shook her head and pressed her lips together tight, making a "mm mmmm" sound. She looked Him dead in the eye and snapped her fingers.
Now peeping at him round the side of the bench, she continued to stare at him harshly, strait in the face, "Can't say. Won't say. Here for me anyway, not her." in a teasing voice, then sticking her tongue out at him, "Nerr!".

Teddy growled before an idea hit him. He quickly hid the knife and turned to the climbing frame. "Girls!" He yelled over to his sisters. He only knew what a house elf was because they worked at Hogwarts. The girls had never seen or heard of one. He wondered how the elf would deal with Olivia's sticky fingers. It didn't matter where they were, that girl always had sticky fingers.

Teddy watched as they both came running over. He also noticed Oscar waking up. Teddy rocked the pushchair while he leant down to his sisters' heights. "This is a house elf. Do you want to say hello?" Teddy laughed as the toddler waddled to the elf and poked it's face. Tracey skipped over and patted his hair.

Chalky was actually quite exited to meet someone her own size... who wasn't tied into a strnage little seat thingy on wheels, and asleep. But this one... she could smell it was something strange, like a mixture of clay, fake banana and glue. A horrible combination. She took a step back away from the child thing, and from the other, taller one, patting her like a dog. "Hey! Stop that! Get off! Please leave me alone!!" again clicking her fingers and apparating, so that she was balanced on top of the bench, walking backwards along the top of it, away from the children things. She didn't like children, the youngest human she'd ever met was Sydney, before that she was just passed between the oldest members of the Mintkin family. This was a very worrying thing to be imposed on by small... sticky... thing, and it's larger, similarly looking... relation. Thing!

Teddy laughed at the small elf. "What? You don't like my sisters? They sure like you." He watched as Tracey ran around the bench and hugged the elf while Olivia slowly waddled her way around the bench, attempting to reach the elf. He knew what would happen if Olivia couldn't catch her and he wondered how the elf would react to her ear splitting crying.

Chalky didn't like being half this kind of treatment at the best of times, let alone by two small people who she didn't know. Once again snapping her fingers, she appeared in the middle of a near by tree, a safe distance she thought. Still quivering a little, she replied to Mr Teddy Cameron "No, no I certainly do not. And why are they so small?! Its not natural for a human, surely!" Chalky didn't like the thought of her mistress finding her here with these people.

Teddy laughed. "Girls, go back to playing, you can play with the elf later." He watched as Tracey helped Olivia waddle back to the play set. "There, they're gone. Now tell me who you work for." He was frustrated by this little elf. He was beginning to believe that the elf actually didn't know what a child was. "Have you never seen a child before or something?"

Sydney smiled as she held a hand of her younger siblings. Malakai and Calliopa loved the park and Sydney loved taking them there. She let them walk over to the swings as the blonde looked around for a place to sit. She wasn't really picky about who she sat next to any more. Looking around the playground she saw a familiar face.

Sydney walked over to the boy she knew from school just in time to hear him ask who someone worked for and if they had never seen a child before. "Well, I'm currently unemployed and yes I have. Hi Teddy." She smiled at him as he turned around before looking into the tree to see who he had been talking to. What she saw confused her.

"Chalky?" Sydney's house elf was cowering in a tree, from Teddy by the looks of things. "Do you hang out in playgrounds every time I give you the day off?" She was slightly concerned why her personal house elf was in a childs play area on her personal day.

"Mistress Sydney!!" Chalky was so relieved to see her mistress she couldn't contain herslef. It had after all, been a very scary sort of day! "No no mistress, I was looking for... well... I wasss... Why are those little people so... little? At first I thought they maybe odd goblins but... AHH You brought more!!" Chalky had heard of Sydney's sidlings, but never seen them!

Sydney giggled. She often forgot that Chalky had never seen a child before, she hadn't even met her own siblings. "When people are younger they are smaller. As they grow older they also grow up. They are not to be feared." Then a thought occurred to her. She turned to the boy she had sat next to. "You haven't been scaring her have you?"

Teddy smiled when he saw Sydney. He frowned in confusion when she spoke to the elf before he clicked it. "You're Sydneys'?? Wait a second." He turned to the blonde girl next to him. "You named your elf Chalky?" He looked at the green creature and shrugged.

Teddy looked 'innocent' when Sydney spoke to him. "No... I just let my sister see her." He couldn't help but chuckle a bit. He didn't care about torturing the Elf any more now that he knew she was Sydney's elf. He trusted Sydney, she had been through what he had and had helped him. "They'd never seen an elf before and wanted to poke her." He put his hands in his lap. "There may have been a knife." He mumbled.

Chalky was confused at the thought of something getting bigger as it got older. As an apple gets older it shrinks! Well, after its picked.
"Mistress! He tried to kill me! And the small... umm, young people were all helping him! I thought I was going to die! I forgot how to apparate, I nearly did die!!" Getting more and more worked up about the whole situation, plus the fact her mistress was acting nicely to this nasty person!
