Riley slumped onto a nearby couch in a most unlady like fashion, but she didn't seem to care. She had just got back from the Quidditch pitch and was extremely tired. She dropped her broomstick and duffel bag to the floor beneath her and took a deep breath in, her heart rate slowing as she did so. The student lounge was relatively empty and very quiet, which always made Riley a little uneasy. She took a large drink from her waterbottle and got out her guitar. She tucked her hair behind her ear and started to lightly strum on the guitar.

Riley played the first few bars of a song before proceeding to sing along. She had a lovely voice, and so she should after the four years of stage school her mother had put her through. As she began to play louder she heard somebody enter the common room. The song came to a stop and she looked over at the door, a handsome young man walked through it and she blushed slightly. She looked down at her clothes, luckily she had changed out of her Quidditch gear. She hoped she looked alright. The boy looked over at her and she felt herself blush. "Hey"she said, a little too quietly.

Isaac had a pile of homework he was once again neglecting to do and since exams were coming up, he had to get them done in order to get decent grades, something he was seriously lacking as of late. After attempting to do his homework in his dorm room, he felt trapped and restless and was too distracted in there so he decided to go somewhere else to study. He couldn't go to the common room because that wouldn't help much at all, since he was there so much it wouldn't help him concentrate because he'd just fall back into the usual things he did to entertain himself in the common room.

Isaac sighed exaggeratedly as he gathered his books and supplies, stuffing them into his backpack carelessly, before throwing on his usual blazer he wore, just to make his casual white tee-shirt and jeans look more presentable. He then he took off in search of a place to study. He decided to avoid the library since it was probably too full with other studying students, and finally thought of the student lounge that he very rarely visited.

He figured it would be empty as usual, so when he got there he was surprised to hear music coming from the opposite side of the door. He opened it quietly, so as not to disturb or interrupt anything going on inside, but they still heard him entering. She seemed a little embarrassed at being caught off guard, or simply for being caught singing, Isaac couldn't tell just yet. "Hello," he replied formally with a smile towards her.

Riley felt her face grow warmer as the boy greeted her and smiled at her. She smiled back sheepishly and rested her guitar up against her seat. "I-I'm Riley" she said, she had become so shy, which was very unlike her. Riley was usually so confident and out going. She looked down at her feet, not wanting to embarrass herself anymore than she had. Riley was so thankful she had decided to get out of her Quidditch gear before venturing to the student lounge, she may have passed out in embarrassment if she hadn't.

RIley waited for the boy to introduce himself, he was dressed nicely, which Riley admired, certainly different from the boys she usually met, tracksuit wearing Quidditch players. But she liked that he was different. He seemed to have study books with him, which reminded her of her exams coming up, every time she tried to study she seemed to get distracted, which wasn't going to get her far. Riley was finding it hard to keep good marks for some of her subjects, it was so much easier for her at Performing Arts school. But she didn't want to be like her mother, she had always wanted to explore her magical blood, and transferring to Hogwarts had been her perfect chance.

[Sorry for the delay!! It won't happen again. ^_^ ]

Isaac smiled at the girl, noticing she seemed a bit embarrassed for being caught singing but Isaac didn't mind it. He opened his mouth to tell her that he didn't mean to interrupt her and she was able to continue playing, but she then introduced herself. Isaac walked over to where she was seated and took a seat near her, not too close so she could feel uncomfortable. "Isaac Chambers," he introduced himself with that same hint of pride his voice always had whenever he said his name. He couldn't really help it, it was just the way he had been raised. "You sounded nice," he said nodding his head towards the guitar in her lap.

((Thats fine :p ))

The boy approached Riley and sat down on the seat next to her, making Riley blush ever so slightly more. He introduced himself with such pride, that along with his surname made Riley immediately remember who his family was. Riley may have been new to the school, but everybody knew who Summer Chambers was. "You're Summer and Hannah's brother then?" she said, trying not to emphasize Summer, he was probably sick of being called Summer's brother. Riley looked down at her guitar sitting on her lap and smiled when Isaac complimented her. "Thanks" she said quietly. She wasn't so used to being praised for her singing, but it felt good to hear it.

Riley looked away from her exam notes, she had done enough for today and deserved a rest. She carefully placed her guitar on the floor next to a pile of parchments and her quill and turned towards Isaac as she spoke. "Do you have any hobbies?" she asked, trying to start up conversation.
