Samual stretched and yawned when he woke up, he wasn't the best morning person to live, but he was better than his roomate, atleast. Sam was a little down, as he usually was when he woke up. He liked the dreaming and the imagination that came whilst sleeping, when he was sleeping he didn't have to do any work or anything boring, he didn't have to think about Ben, or Mummy and Daddy, he didn't have to worry about anything, just rest. But when he realised that it was sunny and bright outside, he basically jumped into his joggers, skinny jeans and red t-shirt, he couldn't wait to get outside to the fresh air and bright sun. Samual ran down the muliple staircases and out to the grounds, doing a little spin as he went. He was really an outdoors kid, he loved running around and jumping in puddles and making giant piles of leaves and sniffing flowers and just having a good time. That was what he wanted to do, run around, sniff flowers and have fun.

Samual looked at the flowers playfully, he was fourteen, as everyone he knew pointed out, and he should be a little more mature and responsible than he was, but where was the fun in being 'responsible' and 'mature', his older sister Tamalia could do all that stuff, they went to the same school and were in the same house, so Samual didn't understand why he had to grow up, when Tamalia was doing all that for him. In fact, Samual was so childish that he decided to not acknowledge the death of several of his family members, they simply went on a holiday in his mind, they were going to come back, and Sam was going to make sure that none of his other family members went on holidays until their return.

Samual continued to walk slowly around the rosebush, a smile gracing his face as he melt all the sweet smells of the roses. They were really pretty, considering it was Spring and he could really feel it. The sun was bright, there was a cool breeze, bees were buzzing around and the flowers of the castle were in full bloom, the lawn looked beautiful and it just made the smile on Samual's face brighter and happier. He skipped around the rosebush, smelling and picking the flowers, he chose one flower of every colour, just because he could. He couldn't decide on which colour of flower he liked best, he couldn't pick just one, so he took them all and juggled them, giggling as he did so. After a few minutes passed, he put the flowers down, he had gotten bored with standing there and juggling them, there were about seven of them, all now sitting in a circle, there was a white rose, a red rose, a pink rose, a yellow rose, a black rose, a really dark red rose and a really light yellow rose. They were all so pretty. They reminded him of his old house, which wasn't something he wanted to be reminded of, not at all. He looked away from the roses and sat down against a tree, twirling a bright red rose in his fingers, he couldn't think of such things. Not now, he was supposed to be happy. Happy happy happy. "Happy happy happy." He muttered quietly, managing a small smile.

Annalie woke up bored. None of her latest victims had satisfied her craving for being mean. They were nothing on the satisfaction she got when being utterly horrible to Aimee. But she didn't give up hope, she was still searching for that one person that was affected in the same way Aimee was, someone she would enjoy taunting. So getting up out of bed Annalie quickly brushed her hair and threw on her favourite skirt, t-shirt and boots and almost ran from the room. On the lookout for someone new to pick on she descended from the Ravenclaw tower and stalked the corridors for a new victim. Seeing no one that she felt like being mean to Annalie decided to venture outside, perhaps there was someone out there who’s day could be ruined. Running down the stairs she exited the castle and out in the great lawn. Annalie wrinkled her nose as the sweet smell of flowers hit her nose. She hated the smell of flowers at the best of times but today it was even worse than usual.

Frowning Annalie crossed the great lawn as fast as she could dodging the few other people that had ventured out. None them looked like a good candidate to pick on, most of them were in groups. Although having the confidence Annalie knew better than to take on a group of people, there was no way she would come out on top. Moving past them she ventured towards the rose garden. Despite her extensive dislike for the smell of flowers she knew that the wussiest and most pathetic of Hogwart’s students went to see the roses, perfect for finding victims.

Annalie spotted a boy ahead, drawing closer to him a grin spread across her face. It was none other than Samual Kaster a 4 th year who was deluded enough to believe his parents were still alive. Even though everyone knew they were dead, along with his brother. Resisting the urge to laugh the brunette drew up to the boy and gave him a sneer. “Hey Samual, how are you parents?” she asked the real meaning of the question clear in her voice, she was going to wake the poor deluded boy up to the fact that his parents weren’t coming back.

<COLOR color="black">Samual closed his eyes blissfully, now his mood was changing to a more positive one. Sometimes, he faultered, sometimes the real world came knocking at his door and it was hard for him to not open it. But how was he going to be happy without his parents and brother? He wasn't, so he buried their death deep within himself. They weren't dead, because death led to sadness, and sadness is for those that don't believe in magic. Samual believed in magic, not the magic he was born with, the sort that enabled him to levitate objects and fly brooms. The sort of magic that was hidden within ones self, the sort that managed to bring smiles to peoples faces, the sort that made the Earth turn and babies breathe. That sort of magic was the beautiful magic that Sam liked, for he believed that no-one was ever truly gone, that was proven by ghosts, there were a few ghosts at this school, his sister even met one once.

Samual looked up as he heard someone and dropped his red rose at what they said. How could this girl be so cruel? Samual was sure thye had never met, but she knew him, or of him anyway. It was quite possible, if she were in his sisters year, a lot of people knew about his current state of mind, but he didn't think it so unhealthy and he could sense that this girl was trying to upset him. Well, it was not going to work, this mean girl was not going to make him cry as soon as he met her. But it was hard, she knew his name, and obviously knew a lot about him to know his view on the subject of death. No-one was truely gone, not to Sam, they would come back one day, you just had to hope, wait and believe it to make it work. e stood up so he could be more level with the girl. They were around the same height, he couldn't be sure, he was too busy trying to not show his pain and hurt. He couldn't believe this girl, they haven't even officially met yet and she is already making his heart speed up with her hurtful words. What sort of monster produced this girl? Was she the combination of Banshee and Devil? Sammy couldn't be sure, but he became defensive very quickly and cast his eyes to the ground, folding his arms across his body. He wasn't sure how he should react, he was so confused and it was easily seen. Sometimes it sucked having emerald eyes that revealed your every thought. After a few minutes past, Sam pulled his sight from the ground and laid it on the face, a chill running down his spin as he saw how cruel a face this girl owned. With a face like that, you were destined to be horrible. He suddenly wanted Jack, but Jack was Merlin knew where, and Tamalia wasn't going to just randomly appear from behind a tree, he was all alone and in all honesty, he was quite scared and intimidated by the girl. "Who... who are you, exactly?" He inquired, trying to change the subject from such a hurtful one. Maybe the girl didn't realise? Maybe her cruel face was a figment of his imagination? He tried to stand in a more masculine fashion, as his current stance was very weak and feminine at the moment, how was he supposed to protect himself from this older girl if he stood weakly?

Annalie was resisting the urge to laugh. Samual was so weak, so vulnerable, so easy to make upset. She almost felt bad, like she should turn and walk away, he had lost his parents after all. No. That was the point, she wasn't going to back down, even if he began to cry. People like him needed to be told the truth, needed to be awaken to their faults, and that was her job. Annalie had started to hate this school, the students that walked it's corridors had been deteriorating, they were becoming more and more whiney, and more and more pathetic when it came to their personalities. Samual was a great example, his parents died, wow, people had faced worse then that, and if that were not enough he had developed this stupid idea that they were just on holiday. Just pathetic.

She watched him become defensive and upset before her eyes and Annalie gave him a cold smirk, crossing her arms across her chest. It was just the reaction that she had expected and wanted from the boy. She could tell that he was trying not to cry in front of the older Ravenclaw and that was her goal, to make the Gryffindor cry before she left. From what she could see it was going to be realatively easy, he was almost in tears already and she had only said six words. He was weak, that was clear. She chuckled quietly to herself she had to admit that she was really going to enjoy this, he would be to scared to fight back, so all she had to do was chip away at him until the miniscule bit of strength he had came crashing down around him. The perfect time to pounce. Annalie's dark eyes narrowed "Who I am is unimportant," she said simply, she didn't want to give away her identity otherwise she could be pinned for this later, She ran a pale finger down Samual's check smiling patronizingly at him, "You didn't answer my question Sammy. Have your parents arrived back from your imaginary holiday yet?" she asked her eyes gleaming. "Or are they still away?" The Ravenclaw still couldn't work out how he could believe that his parent's had gone on holiday, perhaps he had. had a psycotic break or something. Perhaps he should have gone to a counsellor like her worthless ex sister had had to when she was depressed. Not that she cared, she enjoyed this, breaking down other's happiness, leaving them with horrible memories. 'Like a dementor' she couldn't help thinking.

Samual stood his weak ground, he was trying to look strong, but it was far too late for him to stand up for himself, she had started so heavily, he knew she was determined to hurt him in any way possible, he just really hoped that she didn't hit him or anything like that, because he knew he was going to cry, it was just a matter of time before his eyes went from glassy, to red, to fountains of tears. But he didn't want to have bruises either, because he bruised like a pear, it was really bad, and hewouldn't hit the girl back, not because she was a girl, but because he didn't like hitting people, and avoided it like the plague, some could call him a sort of pacifist. Made put him on edge was that she seemed to be enjoying and it made Samual feel ten times worse. Was she happy that he was in so much pain? Was she actually enjoying the fact that she was ruinging his day, prehaps even his week? Did she really take pleasure in other peoples pain? Even if they didn't do anything to her? Samual didn't know who she was, he didn't know her name, her year or her house. He had no idea why this stranger was being so cruel to him, he hadn't done anything to anyone, he tried his best to be as nice as possible, so people wouldn't be mean to him. Obviously, he was wrong, because this girl seemed to bask in the fact that he was incredibly nice and sweet, it made him feel sick in the stomach. She didn't seem to care that she was hitting a very touchy subject for the young Gryffindor, he was just happy that she wasn't bringing up his dead brother as well, Samual hated the fact that Ben was murdered and the criminal got away with it, sometimes it made him think there was no hope foranything anymore, his parents died from accidents, since his father was hit by a car and his mother during childbirth, so it was like itwas there time, and the driver had apologised and was serving time, Ben's murderer got away without any form of apology or consequence, and it seemed that the same would happen with this girl.=, considering Samual had not idea how he would find her again to find her name.

The girls smirk made his stomach do front flips, she was so eerie. He pulled his curls out of his face, trying to distract himself from the girl and her mean, cruel face. But it wasn't working as well as he had hoped, he felt closed in, the Rosebush didn't seem so nice anymore, not at all, right now, he wanted to be anywhere but here, even in the middle of the forest would do and he didn't even like the forest. He frowned deeply as she refused to identify herself, this was going to be fun, and when she touched his cheek, he slapped her hand away, and tried to take a step back, but his back was to a tree, he wasn't going anywhere. So now he was stuck, face to face with this horrible girl, he coudln't run, and he couldn't hide, her cold eyes were boring holes into his emerald ones. He didn't want to be within arms length of the girl, but he was, and he had to live with it. He sighed inwardly as she continued to meantion his parents. Why couldn't she just go away? Why couldn't she find someone else to hurt? Why did she have to hurt anyone? When she used his nickname, he felt worse, how did she know so much about him? It was scarying him. He blinked as she once again mentioned his parents, and soon a tear followed the path she had started with her finger, he was crying, she had succeeded. He didn't even know how to answer her, his lip was quivering and he looked her in the eyes, her cold, cruel eyes that were filled with glee. "Please, leave me alone..." He said slowly, making sure every word that left his mouth was able to be heard. He then took the time to wipe away some of his tears, before his face started turning red, but there were a lot, so he soon gave upon trying to control them and closed his eyes.

Annalie rolled her eyes at Samual's attempts to come across as strong. The Ravenclaw's perceptive eyes saw that he was crumbling on the inside and that it was only a matter of time until he broke down. Perfect. She would feel like she had accomplised something if she managed to have him snivelling like the baby he was by the end of the stand off. It was always her goal when she picked on someone. All those years of making Aimee cry had left an impression on the brunette, she had a point of ending an argument with the other person crying so she could walk away head held high. It brought her a level of satisfaction that nothing else could provide. She admitted that good grades had once provided the kind of happiness that she was feeling now but it hadn't been long until the buzz had worn off, leaving her feeling empty. She had quickly found an alternative and she had to admit that the feeling she was experiencing was better than anything good grades could have ever provided her with.

Annalie's dark eyes flashed dangerously as the boy slapped away her hand. Clenching her teeth she grasped the boys wrist in her hand, and leant forward glaring deep in to his emerald eyes, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." she hissed, "Okay?" The dark haired girl leant back and let his wrist drop to his side. Annalie laughed at Samual. He was blubbering like a big baby and it felt great. Annalie loved these moments, the tears just showed that she was superior and that he was weak. She cherished the sight of them crying and she planned to prolonging the moment for as long as she could. Taking a small step forward, to block him against the tree a little bit further she put her hands on her hips, watching the tears slip down his cheeks a feeling of elation washing over her. "Why would I do that Sammy? I'm just getting started. I haven't asked about Ben yet." she chuckled dark eyes searching for a reaction in him, she knew she was going to get one. Why wouldn't he when his brother had been murdered.

Samual's emerald eyes flashed fear as the girl didn't leave, in fact, she came closer, much closer. Samual back up even more, though that wasn't much considering the tree was now basically having its dry bark stab into his back, it caused some pain, but not nearly as much as this girl was causing him with her words. 'Stick and stone may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.' That old nursury that told muggle children that no matter what people said, words were just recognisable sound that couldn't cause any physical pain. But that didn't mean that they didn't hurt, because the words this girl was using, even if they weren't offensive or cuss words, they were cutting Sammy up like he was half-melted butter. Words didn't scar the body, but they did scar the soul, words could mean so much, too much. Words hurt so much more than sticks and stones. Right now, Samual would have rathered her physically attack him, than verbally, because if she hit him, it would be easier to stop her and run away, as fast as his legs could carry him, but she had him up against a tree, she was blocking his path, all he could do was wait until she left him alone to wollow or something. This was going to be a bad day indeed. He ignored the curls that fell in front of his face this time, as it made it harder for him to see her, which was much better for the young Gryffindor, he didn't want to look at the girl, she made him feel even worse, but when she grabbed his wraist, he frowned and tried to pull his wraist away, but he grasp was strong and it was painful, but her words sent shivers down his spine, but he didn't nod, instead he did something that was a little out-of-character for him, he pulled on her wriast so he could retrieve his own. He was very emotional right now, and because of Tamalia, Kaster were not known for their level-headedness when emotional, and it was kinda true, all Kaster's weresome sort of drama queen or king. Tamalia would grew angry and use her fists, Tessa would grow psychopathic and be a total manic, Lisa would scream her head off, along with Amanra and Abbey, while Jack would use magic to show his annoyance, Ben used to do the same, back when he was alive. But Samual would usually cry and feel enclosed and try to escape, without trying to kill someone, that is.

When Annalie continued with the taunting looks, Sammy sighed inwardly, he was growing tired, he wanted to leave, to hide, but she was even closer now, he couldn't escape unless she wanted to let him go, and that didn't seem likely, not at all, especially when she meantioned the one thing that crushed Samual, you could tell in his emerald eyes that she had gotten him. Ben. How could she have so much pleasure in his pain? Why did she have to bring up Ben? He was murdered by a deatheater and she was rubbing it in his face? What could he say? 'Leave me alone'? That wasn't going to work, she wasn't going to leave him alone until she got whatever it was she wanted, but Sam didn't know what she wanted, so how could he give it to her? He felt crushed, and more tears came from his eyes, streaking down his cheeks, why couldn't the girl just go? "Why are you doing this?" He whimpered. What was she getting out of this? Other than satisfaction, why him? "Why me?"

Annalie sniggered. She was enjoying this far too much. The torment she was causing Samual was causing her confidence to rise beyond something she hadn't felt in a long time. Having him crying against a tree was a sight that she would remember for a long time. She always felt better when she made them cry, it was her sign of a mission accomplished. So by rights she should leave Samual alone to wallow in the self pity that would be left behind as soon as she left. However she had a little bit more to give yet, so she was just going to break him a little bit further before she left him alone. She had meerly mentioned Ben, the brunette hadn't elaborated on her knowledge of the topic. All the things she had heard added up to his brother being killed, perfect for taunting if Annalie thought so herself. Frowning watched as he yanked his hand free. He was still fighting, not a good sign, he still had fight in her. Annalie needed to change that, he had to be a blubbering mess before she was happy with the result.

Annalie took a step back, from any other angle it would have looked as though the Ravenclaw was kissing the snivelling Gryffindor and didn't want anyone to ever believe that she wold ever do something like that. "I am doing this because you need a wake up call Sammy, you need to be brought back into the real world. I'm afraid I have to do it the hard way." cocking her head the brunette gave the boy a pitying smile, "It's a shame you are such a baby, I wouldn't be surprise if Ben asked to be killed just to get away from you." she mocked. Hopefully this comment broke the boy so she could finally leave and let him wallow.

The tears started to slow as Samual distracted himself with the thought of classes. Sure, it didn'tt seem like the best thing to be thinking about when you were up against a tree, face-to-face with an evil and terrifying girl, but Sammy found comfort, well, some comfort, in thinking about classes, since he liked classes a lot, especially Herbology and Transfiguration, they were great classes, but all hope of distraction were dashed when she started sniggering, what sort of person was she? And what made her think it was okay to bring up Samual's past? He had buried all of this when it happened, he didn't need this sort of reminder, not now, not ever. How did she even know anyway? What had Samual, or any Kaster done to her in order for her to treat him so badly? In fact, why was she like this anyway? People should be nice, not cruel, Sammy didn't even think the girl as mean anymore, mean people had a conscience, this girl had none, whatsoever, and if she did, Samual was shocked. He took a deep breath, hoping she woudn't speak anymore, Samual didn't want to hear any more of her words, he was breaking and it hurt. He felt horrible right now, usually if he felt upset, he was in the comfort if family, who would love and support hhim. Tell him that everything would be okay, and there was a silver lining to every cloud, and that in order to see the rainbow you had to survive the rain. But no matter how much he saw the good in people, Samual knew that this girl would never do any of those things, it was her fault that he was feeling lie this, she seemed to have purposefully picked him out of all the other people here, he could see other students through his watery eyes, but none stopped to help him, then again, they probably didn't realize that Samual was up against this tree crying, the girl was completely blocking his frame from others, something he didn't like at all.

Samual blinked away his tears and swallowed the lump that had grown in his throat. He watched her back away, and took a little step forward, so his back was off of the tree, it had grown very sore now because the dry bark of the tree had dug into his back, probably cutting his back, but he didn't care about his back or shirt, right now he cared about getting away, which he was planning. He took a quick look around his surroundings, but soon realized that he would not be quick enough to escape her, she would easily be able to push him back up against the tree and continue her verbal assult. He couldn't believe what shshe was telling him. Help him? Samual would believe that Zombies walked the Earth, before he even considered the possibility that this girl was here t in ay, which, as she probaby just discovered, was not difficult at all. "H-help me?" He questioned through choking tears, that were still running down his shoft ccheeks. ''You are not helping!" His voice was full of distress and emotion that he didn't need, or want, because she would porbably use it against him, since she wasn't afraid to use Ben. But as soon as she continued, and once again meantioned Ben, Sammy's heart shattered into a million pieces and landed in his stomach. He didn't even care that she had called him a baby, she had said the one thing that he hoped, no, knew was not true. Ben was his big brother and he lovedhim, and there was no way in Hell Ben would have wished for death, this girl didn'tt know him, she had no right to say such a thing about Ben, she didn't deserve the right to even think or comment on his last moments of life, she knew nothing about him. But Samual didndidn't say anything, he just sat on his knees aand cried, he'd given up on her leaving, so he decided to iignore aanything else she had to say. He just hugged himself, and cried silently.

Annalie was sure he was close. He was going to break so soon, she could almost see it. It was great timing to, she was getting tired of waiting for him to finally break down. She had always been impatient and she hated waiting for anything. But she was sure that she had him this time. Mentioning a dead brother had to affect him somehow. With any luck it would send him over the edge. The Ravenclaw smirked, "You'll thank me one day." she said her cold eyes staring him down. "Trust me." she said. It would wake him up to how cruel life really was and how people like her existed, the world wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. She was humanly showing him now before someone else could. Annalie watched in content as Samual broke down. She had succeeded on breaking him and it warmed her heart to see him on the ground crying. Her goal had been reached and she no longer had any use for him. "Worthless." she spat in disgust one last time before turning on her heel and stalking away from the sniveling mess that was Samual. The brunette was hungry and headed towards the great hall to go and have some lunch. Bullying Samual had drained her energy and she had a craving for a big lunch. Head held high she pushed past the students that milled around and into the castle.

OOCOut of Character:
Short I know but Katie is coming in soon so yeah...

Katie Swan was enjoying the lovely day. She had woken late to the sun shinning through the curtains of her dormitory. She had decided to grasp the opportunity to go outside and have a run around, to burn off the energy that had built up after a week of lessons. Although being in her third year and subsequently thirteen years of age, she still wanted to be seven again when she could just go and run for the fun of it and not be judged by her age. Not that she really cared, she didn't care about what anyone else thought of her, after coming out of as a lesbian she had quickly learnt to adopt a thick skin when it came to insults and gossip. So throwing on a t-shirt and some shorts she ran barefoot out of the castle and out to the to the grounds, for a spot of running. Skipping out on to the great lawn she relished in the feeling of grass underfoot. The Hufflepuff spun in a circle before she took off running down the lawn, blond hair bouncing after her. She loved the feeling of the wind rushing through her hair. Running down by the lake side she turned and ran towards the rosebush. Taking several laps of the area she came to a halt breathing heavily.

Brown eyes sweeping the area Katie spotted a boy on his knees presumably crying. Hurrying over to him she confirmed her suspicions, he was kneeling down in the grass crying. Dropping to her knees next to him she cautiously placed a hand lightly on his shoulder, she didn't want to startle him, something very upsetting had obviously happened and the Hufflepuff girl didn't want to make the situation worse. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly. She hated seeing anyone upset, digging in her pocket she located a crumpled but otherwise clean tissue that she carried around for emergencies. "Here." she offered holding it out to him for the boy to take if he wanted. Katie hoped he would trust her enough to tell her what was bothering him. She resisted the urge to hug him, as she would if she saw anyone else upset but he hadn't said anything yet and for all she knew he might not want any company. All she wanted to do was help.

Samual watched the girl walk away with her head held high, like she had done something so important andgreat that she should be proud. How could she be proud about leaving someone on their knees, crying their eyes out because she had brought up something hurtful in their past? There was nothing right with that, absolutely nothing. Samual felt sick, literally throw-up sick, but he fought the urge, he hadn't had anything to eat, so nothing wouldhave come up even if he allowed himself to throw up, but he was also getting a huge headache from the hot tears that were still streaming down his cheeks, though more from relief now than pain, even though it was still there, atleast some of it had left with that horrible girl. He rested his forehead on his knees and released a sigh that seemed to have been building ever since he met that girl. He was finally alone now to heal, by himself. That was usually how it was done, something would happen, Samual would have an emotional breakdown, put on a smile, walk away and then fall to the ground and cry until he threw up, fainted, ran out of tears, or managed to calm himself down. So he just needed a little, well, maybe two or three hours, to just sit out here and cry, atleas there was a nice breeze coming from the lake, that was a plus, but what made his heart speed up was movement. Was the girl coming back? He flippped his head up, his curls framing his face and his emerald eyes scanning the horizon, noticing, for the first time, a girl near himt was when he realised that she had her hand on his shoulder. He closed his eyesfor several seconds as the girl spoke to him, she was speaking quietly, obviously tredding carefully around him because he was obviously not okay. He licked his dry lips, but remained quiet. He was trying to calm himself down first before he tried speaking, otherwise she would be hearing random jabber from him and wouldn't understand a damn word.

He smiled slightly at the tissue she offered him, and used it to dab his red, water-streaked cheeks until they were relatively dry. He needed a hug, but wasn't sure if he could get one from the girl. He shone his emerald eyes into the girls deep brown ones and found kindness, causing him to smile once again, and then hug her. Though he wasn't really doing this for her, like he usually was, he was doing it for himself. Usually, Samual hugged people because they looked like they needed it, but this time, he needed the kindness that seemed to be made from a hug. He rested his head on her shoulder, and some more tears fell from his face. After a few minutes, him mostly hoping that she wasn't freaked out, he decided that he had calmed down enough to actually form proper words that she would be able to fully understand. "Thank you..." He said quietly, pulling his curls from his eyes and straightening up his shirt. "I needed that," he added, looking at the tissue that rested in his hands. He sighed slightly, he wasn't sure if he was going to spill his whole life story to the girl just yet, if ever, he had never actually allowed someone to see him crying over his brother before, other things, yes, but Ben? Never. It was time for introductions, if he was to trust her, and if she was to get to know him, other than knowing him as the curly haired boy that she found crying on the grass, because that didn't seem like something he wanted to be remembered as. "I'm Sammy, Sammy Kaster." He said, smiling weakly. "And I guess I'm okay now..." Even though he said that, his eyes were still threatening to release tears, and his heart was racing, while he was still suffering from the shakes, and his back was surely bleeding from that tree, but he didn't care, that older girl was gone. He was safe now.

Katie watched as the boy struggled to collect himself, her eyes showing deep concern for him. He looked pretty terrible if she was being honest and by the looks of it he felt even worse. At least he took the tissue and managed to make himself look a little bit more presentable given the circumstances. When he smiled at her Katie couldn't help but exhale in relief at least he wasn't going to scream at her for invading his privacy or something. That was a good sign. When he leant forward for a hug Katie outstretched her arms and pulled him in for a tight hug. The Hufflepuff was always one for hugs and he certainly looked as though he needed one. Rubbing her hand over his back she felt the tears drip onto her t-shirt and soak through to her shoulder but refrained from saying anything about it. She knew when to be tackful and now was one such moments. She didn't know what had, had happened, not that it mattered, someone upset always needed a bit of comfort. Letting him go Katie studied his face, he seemed slightly better but still far from perfect. Smiling kindly she shook her head, "You don't need to thank me, you would have done the same for me." she said shrugging a shoulder in his direction. She didn't even give the hug a second thought, she was more worried about why he needed the hug in the first place.

"Katie, Katie Swan." she said said by way of introducing herself. She considered offering Sammy a hand to shake but thought against it. Not only was it a highly outdated practise throught teenage society but it was also a little out of place considering the hug she had just given. "Well Sammy Kaster, can I ask why you were crying or is it something I should keep out or cause I can deal with either outcome. You can trust me," she said reaching out to take his hand in her own pale one, "I won't tell anyone anything." she added crossing her heart with her free hand as a mark of sincerity. Katie had had a fear share of problems herself and was one to easily sympathise with anyone who was upset including Sammy now. Taking the tissue from Sammy's hand Katie quickly caught a tear that he had missed when he had been mopping up his face. She knew she was probably acting like a mother would toward her son but she hoped it was comforting. "What made you so sad?" she asked her voice filled with geunine kindness for the sad boy infront of her.

Samual took a deep breath to get more oxygen into his system, and in the hopes that the sick feeling lurking in his stomach, and his aching headache would leave. But neither seemed to be going any time soon and it irritated him. The throbbing of his head felt like drums in his ears, and the occasional rumble could be heard coming from his stomach. But he refused to act upon it, the girl had gone to the castle, it would be his luck that he and this nice girl would wind up in the Great hall, while that horrible girl was there, and all this would start all over again and Samual would feel even worse. He was grateful that she had accepted his hug, that made his day a little better atleast, just a little bit. He ran his fingers through his curly brown hair and took another deep breath, all in an attempt to calm himself down, and hopefully calm the headache that was raging through his head. He found comfort in her smile, it reminded him of Lisa, she was always nice like that. He visibly relaxed some, but his emerald eye never lost their shining threat of tears, just because he got a hug and smile from a nice person, didn't mean that all the damage from the other girl would be wiped from his memory and he would, or could, continue to be energetic and happy, if Samual worked like that, he would never have been that reactive to the girls words about Ben and his final moments and thoughts of life. He took great offence to that last comment, and it pained him so much because he couldn't believe that Ben would ever think that about him. Never. He nodded slowly, his curls re-framing his face by the slow, careful movement of his hea,d just to make sure his headache didn't get worse. He nearly said 'thankyou' again, but refrained from doing so, because it would get them no-where. "Okay..." He answered. Such an unusual answer for the Gryffindor, usually he was the one holding the conversation, but the whole of today had been difficult for him, and right now, he just wanted to curl up in bed and cry himself to sleep.

Samual nodded as she told him her name. She had a nice name, it sounded like it belonged to a kind person. Though not much could be based on a name, Samual usually relied heavily on someones name and first meeting as a way to see their personality for what it really was, though he never ruled anyone out because of their name or first meeting, as he was also very forgiving and understanding, though he would have to consider for a long time before he ever forgave that girl that had just left him in this state. Samual frowned ever so slightly, he understood her curisouty for the subject, it wasn't everyday that you found a guy crying into the grass, was it? But he wasn't sure he could just spill all his problems so early, and to someone he only knew by name, no matter how nice and kind she was. It was too soon, after what had just happened, his trusting nature had been fractured, maybe forever. He allowed her to take his hand and catching a tear with the tissue. Now she was really starting to remind him of Lisa, which made him a little homesick, and so early in the year too! How was he to survive? Tamalia. But her second question was a lot easier to answer, well, to him it was. Basically the past couple of years had been what was making him sad, but right now, that girl bringing it all up from the dirt and throwing it all in his face, then laughing, was what brought him to his knees in tears. And so he decided to put a great amount of trust into this girl, hoping that she wouldn't betray him. "A while back... my parents died." He explained, taking time to caught a breath before he continued. This was the first time, he had ever spoken about this, to anyone, because the girl that had just left had broguth it all back up, he ever neglected to speak with his siblings about this. Only Bethany, Lucy and Hamish were the only ones he spoke to, because they never understood what he was saying, not really, so he could really confide in them and they would never give back advice that he didn't nessessarily need or want. "But then my brother was..." Tears threatened, but he ignored them. "He was murdered and..." They started to fall, slowly though, as he was trying to fight so he could be understood to some degree. "And that girl just... she just laughed about it..." He explained, his voice raising an octive as ears came from the fresh memory of that girls gleeful laugh on such a sensetive subject to him. "And she didn't even care!" He exclaimed, though he wasn't yelling at Katie, he was more yelling at nothing. He squeezing his eyes shut, and took another breath, his voice weak, shaky, and breaking again. "It just hurt... so much..." Towards the end his voice was nothing but a whimper as his shoulders slumped forward and his curls blocked his vision once again.

Katie noticed Sammy's symptoms of distress, she herself had been in this kind of position once, shortly after finding out the truth about her own parents so she now knew what to do, "Sammy, Sammy listen to me. Take deep breaths, in and out. In and out. It's okay Sammy. In and out." he was looking worryingly pale and she mentally kicked herself for not bringing her drinkbottle down with her. The easiest thing to do would be to summon it. Pulling out her wand she mummered "Accio drinkbottle." before pulling her attention back to the distressed Sammy. Reaching over she rubbed his back continuing with her mantra of, "In and out. In and out." hoping that he wouldn't vomit on her, not that it would matter, she had vomitted when she found out so she couldn't talk. Glancing off to the horizon she spotted her flying drink bottle. Catching it she unscrewed the lid and gave it a wipe with her shirt before handing it to Sammy, "Here, have something to drink." she said offering the water to him.

Katie listened carefully, not interupting because she saw how hard it was for him to talk about it. From the sounds of it, it was the first time he had talked about with anyone let alone a complete stranger. A feeling she could easily sympathise with. She remembered herself the day when she found out that her aunt had killed her parents out of cold blood, she was seven when she had been awakened to the news and she remembered a part of her shattering. She knew what it was like to live with no parents and an evil aunt who was nothing but a greedy cow who was so self indulgent that it was sickening. She could remember all to clearly the emptiness that overcame her, made her feel so bad that she swore she was going to die. But she also remembered becoming stronger and stronger and she still continued to do so. There was always hope. "Honey I'm so sorry. If it's any consolation at all I lost my parents too. My aunt killed them when I was little over a year old. So I know what you are feeling." taking the tissue which was now rather soggy she leant over to mop up his fresh tears the best she could. It broke her heart to see him crying. The young Hufflepuff wanted to fix everything and make it better, but deep down she couldn't really fix it, she could only try. Katie shuffled closer to Samual and turned on her knees until she was facing the same way he was. Wrapping an arm around his shoulders she hugged him to her side, he seemed so vulnerable and she didn't want anyone to ever feel like they were alone, when they weren't. "What girl?" she asked "Did you know her name?" she wanted to find this girl and knock her up something terrible, to leave a poor boy in a heap on the ground crying his eyes out made Katie's blood boil. No one deserved to be treated that way. "Hey, hey, hey." she mummered quietly, still holding him, "Deep breaths Sammy." she added, stroking his curls away from his face with her free hand. "It's okay, it's okay, I'm here Sammy." she whispered over and over into his ear trying to comfort him the best she could.

Samual was a complete wreck, and he hated crying his eyes out like this, he hated the headache and the sick feeling that churned in his empty stomach. He felt like he was going to faint, but couldn't quite get there, so instead he was like this, just sitting on his knees, feeling absolutely horrible. He listened to her advice, he knew he had to breathe, but he wasn't sure he could, his throat was closing up on him. But he nodded slowly and did what she said, took deep breaths before he ended up having a panic attack, although, this could sort of be an attack of some sort, maybe an In absolute despair attack? Or did it all fall under the same catagory? He couldn't be sure, all he knew was that he was not reacting to that girl very well, and he had to make sure this never happened again, he wasn't sure he could handle this happening to him again. That was when he realised that he was practically dying of thirst, probably from all the water he had just lost through crying, He was grateful when she summoned for her water, a reason why he was glad that he was magical. Unlike his squib sisters, he could just summon something he needed, just like Katie could summon her water bottle. He would hate to think of what would have happened if he were not magical, and Hogwarts was just a boarding school, meaning that Katie would have had to leave him and fetch her bottle, or Samual would have died without water on the grass from the pain of it all. Didn't sound like a good way to go. He nodded and muttered a quiet 'thankyou' and then drank from the bottle, the sudden rush of cold water giving him a chill that ran down his slouched spine.

Samual was glad that she didn't interupt him, he was so grateful that she just listened, it made things ten times easier. Hearing her story, he frowned. How was she so happy? Even when Samual was happy he was never happy, at the back of his thoughts he always had a sad thought lurking his mind, but he would always ignore it. Was this girl the same? Or did she have some sort of ability to let it all roll right off her shoulders? Samual believed in silver linings and rainbows behind the rain, but sometimes it seemed like all hope was lost, especially after that girl, she had not helped one bit, considering he was feeling a little down at the start of the day, he felt like he was falling through the Earth. It was comforting that she knew vaguely how he was feeling, but she was lucky enough to lose her parents at a year old, Samual had grown with them being there, by his side, ready to tell him that stuff was okay and they would be waiting at home for him and his siblings to return and throw a party. And then there was Ben dying, Katie was lucky, in a way, luckier than Samual. He smiled slightly as she helped him clean up his water ridden face, he must have been looking like a bloated tomato, well, maybe not that bad, but he was sure his face was red from the stress that seemed to be building under his skin, he felt like his head was going to blow up, but the water made it better, slightly. Samual put his cold hand to his boiling head, the feel of his chilled fingers making his headache subside a little bit. "I don't know..." He whispered quietly, as if if he spoke any louder, the girl would come back and attack him again. "I have no idea who she is..." He explained. He didn't know her, at all. "I've.. I've never met her before!" His breathing became quicker and his headache worsened. "Until today... I didn't even know she existed..."
