It has been a few months since Amauri Zhefarovich started to date again, and this time, he was dating his nephew’s half-sister, who was unrelated to him and the Zhefarovich family. It was hard to branch out, but the ex-Auror did enjoy his time with her. Spending time with his real family had been a little of an eye opener, and all of his questions were answered. Although seeing Rayna definitely put some memories in his head. He had killed her twin, and for a moment when he first saw her, he thought that Raisa had survived the whole thing. It was a no wonder why the Zhefarovich family did not avenge her death, much like the laws had said. He was an Auror at the time, and he was also blood. Amauri shook his head, shaking the memory of him killing his aunt out of his head. She didn’t know that they were related, otherwise, she would not have fought him so much. Or… Did she? It was possible.

Thinking about the past was what Amauri did as he slaved over the stove while cooking for his new girlfriend. She had a teenage son named Warren, who seemed to be just as uncaring as his father was, from what he heard. Amauri had two young ones, still at home and waiting on their hogwarts letter, which would not come for years. He also had Vincent, who was grown and his children were attending school. Well, some of them. Amauri pieced the plates together, which was a typical French cuisine. He carried the two plates over to Valefaria, who was waiting at the table. He set it down in front of her, before sitting down himself. “It took a bit to get some peace and quiet, huh.” Amauri definitely trusted Warren to look after Desiderata and Aristides. Warren seemed responsible, and gave his mom private time with her new catch.

New relationships were always... scary. There was always the question of whether this would work or that would work and questions of compatibility. Not really the sort of things Valefaria wanted to be worrying about right now. Still, she supposed things could have been worse, it wasn't all rainclouds and murdered pets. Not that she compared Amauri to rainclouds and murdered pets, these things just tended to have a problem with escalation in her experience. It wasn't always clear why, but she wanted to avoid it in any case. Peace and quiet was hard to come by sometimes, but she was thankful for it tonight. Some alone time with Amauri was just what the girlfriend ordered after all. This way, she got a lovely dinner, nice conversation and Warren could learn to properly babysit, not that she was really all that worried. He was good at looking after them, she wasn't sure why. She was sure he'd make a great protector, he was stocky enough for it.

Amauri brought the food over and Val made grabby hands for it. She was starved and if she didn't get food in her now she was going to cease to exist. She could smell it already and it made her mouth water. "Ah, you treat me so well, look at this food!" She smiled up at him, glad that they could have this time together before things go hectic. She was almost glad that Amauri wasn't an auror any more. How would he have managed to spend any time with family? Perhaps that was partially why he was now dating her... "Is there a special occasion tonight?"
