Ailsa Evans was a night owl, she usually didn't sleep very much, and never really in the late hours of the night, she could never managed to get herself to sleep until the morning was almost upon her and at that she rarely slept more than a couple of hours in the night, which sometimes made the rest of the school day a little tiring, she was prone to napping at odd hours to make up for it. The teen was sometimes just worn out from the day, the exhausting quidditch match of the day before had really taken it out of Ailsa, who had the proceeded to barely sleep during the night. There were always occasions where she managed to sleep with ease through the night, sleep way more than she should, but they didn't roll around particularly often, two or three times in a month. Ailsa just felt tired, and with her exams looming and all of this work to be doing for them, the teen was just having a rough few days. She did her best to hide it, mostly from Logan, whom she knew had more concerns on his plate than she did and she didn't want to burden him with that. Archie was usually the one who got an earful of it, but he was off with his best friend preparing what was sure to be a disaster.

Having spent the time before lunch in the kitchens because she'd missed breakfast, the teen was heading back up the stairs, yawning loudly to herself and keeping her gaze on the ground allowing her fringe to block her vision. She was heading back up to the dorm room, she had plans to just sleep the rest of the day, not exactly the best thing to be doing so close to exams, but she would do it regardless. However when she got to the fifth floor, Ailsa decided she needed to rest so she sat down on the steps up to the corridor and leaned partially against the wall, leaning her head against it as she yawned loudly. She was feeling really tired, and her mind was just taking a moment. She yawned again and felt her eyes water in the process. She decided she would wait, rest a little and wait for that morning food to kick in a little more before she continued upwards to the gryffindor girl's dorm. She knew she was a little in the way of people who might be passing her, especially large crowds, but the teen decided that she really didn't care about that.

It was odd when Xiochtle can't sleep. If there are things that she liked except reading, it was eating and sleeping. She just move from left to right and even weird positions just to fall asleep but unfortunately it didn't work. She decided to get up and take this as an opportunity instead though she still thinks it's a huge bummer. She dressed herself in jeans and shirt and her favorite combat boots too, she didn't forget to bring her hoody if ever there were people who will see her.

She went to the fifth floor corridor. Xio didn't really explored much there so she decided to wander and figure some stuff out. Scanning every inch of the hall, Xiochtle heard a sound. "A yawn?" she asked herself softly. There it was again, Whoever is making that sound sure is tired. she thought. She followed the sound of numerous yawns and found herself staring at a girl with bangs. The girl, who is older than her- she could tell, leaned against the wall and again yawned loudly. Her mouth swung open as large as the hippo's that Xio thought it would rip her mouth. She waited, observed the girl for some time, hiding somewhere unnoticeable. Xiochtle was actually waiting for the girls other actions, something that could spice up her boring, sleepless night.

It was difficult to believe that it was still in fact the middle of the day and not ridiculously late at night because of how tired she felt. The teen couldn't wait to be able to go home and be able to adjust to her own preferred sleeping pattern which did involve being able to sleep in the morning, it was just this being awake at almost all hours which was a little tricky to the teen. She stretched her body slightly, while still sitting on the steps and rubbed her eyes, trying to will the sleep to go away but unfortunately unable to do anything. It was as she pulled her hands away from her eyes that she was sure that she spotted someone. Part of her mind wondered if she was just seeing things or if this was in fact someone who was not too far in front of her. The teen looked around herself, and then couldn't spot anyone else, so perhaps she had imagined it.

Ailsa cleared her throat slightly, trying to steady her mind to figure out if there was someone near her, quite possibly watching her or someone who'd just walked past her and continued on with their day without giving much more thought to the teen sat on the fifth floor steps, "Hello?" she called out nervously, unsure what to expect from this, unsure what to do with this or what to think about it. If someone was there would they even talk to her, or would they opt to ignore her, and if someone wasn't there she was just talking to nothing, calling out to the emptiness of this staircase. In the event of any of the outcomes, Ailsa was in part too tired to care about it. All she could really find herself doing was stifling another yawn and just hoping that she could muster the strength soon to go all the way back upstairs to the dorm room, which currently seemed like an impossible task.

"Hello?" she heard the girl which was kinda unexpected because normally no one notices her that quick. Lief debated whether to turn herself in- is she even a criminal or just stay quiet and just go with the present flow. While thinking she looked back at the girl which looks like she's having a hard time going all the way upstairs and she feels that. Xio knows her suffering right now.

Without thinking much, she lured herself into the light and faced the girl with her emerald eyes on the floor and her hair covering her face. So she basically looked like a ghost or something. "'Sup" trying to sound cool but terribly failed. Well let the awkward conversation begin.

Ailsa was pretty glad when the hello was answered pretty quickly when a much younger girl stepped out of the hidden place she'd been in and greeted Ailsa, with a strange conversation opening. She looked at the girl and tried to force a smile at her, but the words seemed to fail on her lips. She had never had too much interaction with students younger than her, she had gladly avoided most of them and unlike others she didn't have her sights set on any position and was sure that it would be easier for her to just be able avoid them and all responsibilities but this couldn't be true here, with someone in front of her, she just smiled slightly at the girl, trying her best to seem genuine about it, "So do you usually linger around corners looking at people?" she had no hostility in her tone as the words might've suggested, but Ailsa had the common sense to not start yelling at people when they did things, "I wouldn't make a habit of it, some of the people in this school definitely wouldn't take kindly to such things,"

The girl strted talking while Xio couldn't even register one word on her head. What did she just said? Xiochtle cursed herself for being such a wimp when it comes to conversing to others. Her mind blank about what the girl just said, she decided to answer absentmindedly "Great, me too." after seeing the girls reaction, she wanted to kick herself.
