WHEN THAT GLASS IS EMPTY
THAT WORLD IS GONNA END.

Lilian staggered out of yet another bar, her free hand smudging her bright red lipstick as she attempted to wipe the liqour from her mouth. She stumbled slightly, but tried to keep her composure, she had been here before, at least a million times. Her career was down the drain, she had left everything she knew behind in America, and who knew where her son was. Though he was only one, Zeus always seemed to find his way without her, she always found him safe the morning after. Pulling her heels off her swolen feet she picked up the pace, finding that she was faster when she was relieved of those pesky shoes. Her head span, but the twenty four year old had handled the drinks well. So she should after years of experience, hanging around at bars waiting for customers to show up so she could whisk them away and take them 'around the freaking world' There was no way of telling how many drinks she had, Lilian had lost count, all she knew was that now her glass was empty she was unhappy again, she had to get some more money to feed her happiness that lay in drink.

Stumbling some more, the muggle attempted to remember where she was, Australia she had heard somewhere, but her head was spinning more and more, the world blurring in front of her eyes. "Wh-where am I aye?" she asked, leaning against a younger man, his response was hostile and she was pushed back to the kerb, her drunk and slurred words spilling out of her as she stumbled into another bystander. It wasn't late at night, Lilian wasn't proper enough to know not to drink too early. "Woah, watch where the hell yer going" she said as she stepped back from the blonde haired girl. She couldn't help but think of her sister, and wonder where she was, they were runaways, but Lilian was in over her head with no job, money and a babe to care for. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew if she didn't get another drink it wouldn't be long until she lashed out again.

Claire stood along one of the streets outside of a town filled with what she knew to be a lot of pubs. She glanced around, hoping that nobody would run into her, and wishing she would be able to talk to somebody without wanting to run in the other direction. She moved her blonde hair out of her eyes, and walked down the streets looking for somebody she knew. Everybody is probably inside, so that I won't find them. That's probably a good thing, though, I wouldn't even be able to talk to them. Claire thought, with a sigh. Before she was able to turn to leave, she was knocked over by another person, who looked a lot like a muggle to her. "Oww." She shrieked. She slowly worked her way back up to stand up straight. She was about to snap at her for not being careful, but she got a whiff of what she could swear was alcohol, and nearly bolted. She couldn't stand the stuff.

Claire slowly regained the use of her body, and looked up at her, unable to think of what to say. "I.. I.. I did watch where I was going, you're the one who ran into me." She said, starting to build up some anger. She hated it when somebody blamed her for something she didn't do, and even her shyness wouldn't stop her from snapping at somebody when she was like this. "Maybe you should watch where you're going next time, and then you wouldn't run into people." She said. She slowly started to calm down, and went to look around her. Nobody had come to spectate her little outburst, and that was always a good thing, so maybe she hadn't put on that much of a show for people to say. She breathed in, and regretted it. "And maybe you should stop drinking as well." Claire said, working her face up into her best impression of a glare.

Lilian regained her footing and glared at the young girl she had supposedly bumped into. The alcahol was rushing to her head but she was still sober enough to give the naiive little blonde what was coming to her. "I should look where I'm going aye? You should respect your elders little thing, thats no way to treat a lady" she hissed through her pearly white teeth. But the girl was foolish enough to keep speaking which angered Lilian beyond belief. Standing her ground she put her hands on her judding hips and looked down on the girl. As the drinking problem exited the young girls lips rage burned inside of the woman, the girl had attacked one of her most personal issues and she sure was going to pay. "Do you have ANY idea who you are talking to?" she said, her voice growing louder with each word she uttered. "You stipid little girl" she said shaking her head and clenching her fists but showing enough control to keep them by her sides.

This stupid little girl obviously had no idea what the real world was like, Lilian had been to hell and back and she thought she deserved a few drinks to calm herself down. "I have a one year old son at home to look after, I have no money and my only form of income is by sleeping with men. But I'm sure you think thats funny" she said, shaking her head once more as she felt her cheeks burning up as she yelled the harsh words. Lilian and her sister had run away from their abusive father at the age of fifteen and got into a life they could never get out of and this pretty little blonde had no idea what she was getting into. She looked like a spoilt little princess in Lilian's eyes and she wished she had never bumped into her at all. She let her hands back onto her hips and matched the girls icy cold glare with her own.

Claire couldn't believe that this lady was getting worked up over just her attacking her over an alcohol problem. Really, Claire understood where she had been, and she wouldn't say anything about her selling herself out, and letting people exploit her for money, but really, if she could just be a little more selfconcious then Claire wouldn't have had to bother her at all. She was starting to lose her anger, and become shy again, something that she hated. "I.. i.. I just.. I just thought that you should.. should.. should be a little bit more careful when you're running around, some people don't like being bumped into, and knocked over." Claire said, her total innocence shining through like a spotlight.

Claire turned back to her, wishing herself the ability to get out a single coherent sentence. She doubt she would be able to, though. She turned to the lady. "L.. l.. listen. I.. I think we got off.. o.. on.. on the wrong foot." She started, taking a deep breath. "I'm Claire, and you are?" She asked, wondering who actually had the guts to stand up to some little kid her age. Claire was usually a quiet person until somebody got on her bad side and started to piss her off, which didn't happen very often. Claire smiled at her. "I'm sorry I got on your case, you just kind of got me for running into me, and then blaming it on me." Claire said, sighing. She didn't like it very much when people did that, and she liked it when she knew the person somewhat, so she could relax around them.
