When I took the blame

A day had not passed by easily since the day of him receiving devastating news.
The devastating news of his fiancee leaving him just put him in a state of shock
to which he thought he would not be able to recover from. Sitting there in his
home at the time of him receiving this news, he was completely torn apart. All
of the hard work he was putting into his life, all of the work he was doing in his
life was so that he could give his fiancee and his future children a good future,
but rather, she decided to leave him. As hard as Selwin tried, he just couldn't
get the thought of this big betrayal out of his mind. Normally Selwin really didn't
care much if anyone else that he really didn't care for did this to him, but this
fiancee was the closest thing to his heart. He never imagined her leaving him.
It was as if a big portion of his life was now lost in the middle of no where.
Like the old saying goes, 'A storm only lasts temporarily, the rainbow is bound
to appear soon enough'
. This was Selwin's most favorite saying and he followed
his all the time whenever something bad happened to him. Growing up in a muggle
orphanage, Selwin everyday looked towards the sky and looked for the rainbow that
might come and save him. With his eyes being so hopeful at a young age, he was
rescued from the orphanage and the adopting parent's did him a favor by saving him,
but then turned around only to make thing's worse for Selwin.

Needless to say, so far in Selwin's life, there has been nothing but a rocky road.
This truly saddened Selwin because he firmly believed that all people were entitled
to some sort of happiness. Whenever Selwin started to get hopes of happiness in his
life, everything was just snatched from him. 'Why can't I just be happy for once?'
Thought Selwin to himself. He needed some fresh air and so, picking up his coat, he
put it on and walked out the door of his house. Flicking his hand, the door immediately
locked behind him. It wasn't that bad of weather today to say the least. A bit chilly,
normal for Spring time, which is why he had his coat on. Selwin just wanted to get his
mind off the stress in his life right now. Truly Selwin was disappointed at life as a whole
because it had given him nothing but trouble. Just when Selwin would start to get his
hopes high, something would happen to him that would completely destroy him and his
hopes. Selwin didn't even want to carry his wand with him today. He just wanted to
be nothing but a simple person today. He didn't want to think about his career, his
death eater status, or his new relationship. He just wanted time to himself. Perhaps
meet a few people or just a person that he could talk to on this stale day.

With his feet gently meeting the ground one step at a time, this was the first time in
Selwin's life where thing's weren't shaking in fear under his feet. It was as if Selwin had
pretty much given hope in his life and that the fear which startled many was now slowly
perishing. Even though Selwin's ex. girlfriend Eden had came back to him and trying to
save him from the inner darkness that's devouring him because of the recent event's of
Selwin's life, him getting back together with his ex. girlfriend Eden was a good decision
on his part. The special love that they shared between each other was still holding
strong in his heart even though he was with his fiancee. Truly, this was special love
that Selwin experienced for the first time in his life. Thinking about all of this, Selwin
made his way to a near by park. Surprising enough, Selwin wasn't wearing any black
today, like he usually would, to plunge fear into those hearts and souls that had fear
in them. Today, Selwin decided to wear normal jeans, and a white t-shirt underneath
his blue coat. This is usually how he dressed when he would go to his muggle university
and he thought it would be refreshing for him to make some changes for once. As he
kept walking in the park, he noticed children playing on the swing's, some children chasing
each other and some that were looking right at Selwin. Giving a warm smile back to the
children that were looking at Selwin, the smile which Selwin showed was the first time an
actual 'love' smile that came from his mouth and this smile grew even more when he saw
the children waving at him in pleasure. Taking a seat in the nearby bench, he sat down
and took out a bottled water to drink.

izaak jay finch would be the first to say it, he had royally f*cked things up. it had just been a
dream, a stupid kind of flashback that in conjunction with a beautiful veela of a best friend
and the loss of his sense in the ungodly hours of the morning, made for a heady concoction.
yes, he had learnt some things about himself that night, some things that maybe he didn’t
want to know. that wasn’t to say it wasn’t great, because it had been wickedly amazing at
the time, as sex always had been with melodie. but izaak had not been prepared in the least
for the backfire of what had been the only safe and logical decision that he had made those
sheer few nights ago. and now they were both chewing their fingernails down to the quick,
waiting for the answer to a question that had plagued their every thought. were he and mel
going to have a kid together? when you took into account that he’d already gotten isabella
and alexis pregnant without meaning to, then the likelihood in his kind of mind set was sent
spiralling upwards. the thought made him want to puke up the nervous squirming sensations
in his stomach. it wasn’t out of repulse, heavens no. because melodie lowe was a woman
that any man would be lucky to have, even though her and izaak had already tried that road
years ago and found that it just wasn’t for them. but no, izaak was scared and he was years
from being ready to try and start his own family. after ella and then alexis’ sudden departure
from the world, the young man was hard pressed to believe that he’d ever be ready for such
a commitment and the other night had put that right into perspective for him. but if melodie
had fallen pregnant then izaak had no choice but to take responsibility for his actions, and
that meant being a father to their child. they weren’t sixteen anymore, they couldn’t rely on
those older than them to help them through sticky situations. they'd have to stick it out all on
their own and while izaak knew deep down that they’d be okay, they loved each other more
than enough to help each other through it, he couldn’t stop thinking about cassie and ella,
about alexis and to his surprise, alianne and the kind of strain this would put on them both.

he needed to clear his head, he needed space and he needed to get the hell away from all
that had become of his life. a day, a week, a month, however long it took, however long he
was allowed to take. and so with the buzz of a morning coffee electrifying his veins, izaak
had apparated to the first place that had zipped into his head. he had been a little surprised
to find his feet at the steps of the green hills tavern, riddling his body with poignant twangs
of nostalgia as his eyes wandered their way on inside. soon after his feet had followed, how
could they not? izaak hadn’t been here since the night he and alexis had gotten together all
those long, long years ago and the young man had found himself on the precipice of breath
robbing emotions as he saw that the place had not changed in the slimmest. and the booth
they had made out in, tucked right into the corner of the tavern, had been like something
fished right out from the depths of his schooling memories. as he had sat down in the worn
cushion with his fingertips tracing the timbered knots in the table, izaak had found himself in
a time warp. the times of long swept fringes and beautifully lashed eyes gazing across the
small space between two bodies had been disturbed when a waitress had come to take his
order. and when izaak had looked up at her patient face, eyes brimming with a raw thwart of
emotion, he had seen that she had been taken aback. “a firewhiskey” he had said, the very
same drink he had asked for on that fateful night, but izaak hadn’t even stayed long enough
to see it arrive on his table. the memories of her youthful joy had grown too hard to handle.

so here izaak jay was now, in europe of all places, wildly lost among the strangely accented
conversations and the smiles that seemed too bright for him to take. but he couldn’t go back
to bondi, not yet. everywhere the twenty-two year old looked though there was something
more to remind him of his late fiancée. a park bench they had christened that night with their
heated kisses for one another was drawing close on his left, occupied by a stranger in jeans
and yet still even though the image tainted the one in his mind, izaak was still growing crazy
with the bursts of flashbacks. he could almost smell the vanilla, almost see that happy glint
of green in her hazel irises. they came more frequently with every step closer that izaak took
towards the bench and the man that sat upon it, until eventually they came to an abrupt halt
as he drew to a stop a few feet away. his breathing was unnaturally irregular and heavy, as
if he had just sprinted the way from the tavern to the park, but in all truth he had only been
strolling. for the first time his spectacular blue eyes looked at the man, actually looked at him
and noticed that his gaze was set intently upon the children bounding in the park with a wisp
of love in his smile to couple it. even though he looked younger than izaak, the blue-eyed
man wouldn’t have been surprised if he was a father. “got any?” he asked, jutting his head
over towards the skittle of children, as he attempted to catch his breath. izaak was kicking
himself at the choice of conversation but right now, he couldn’t quite think of anything more.

At the back of his mind, he just couldn't believe what had been happening to him recently.
It just really made him mad at himself that all of this was happening to him. He didn't
blame anyone but himself. He put himself as responsible for all that was happening to him
right now. He couldn't even consider himself to be a true death eater anymore because
he was becoming more softer and softer each day. This wasn't good for Selwin at all.
The death eater that was once fearless, of all the things that Selwin once was, they were
slowly disappearing from his heart. One portion of his mind was wanting to just let go off
all this, and second portion of his mind was wanting to keep it holding against him. Right now,
he was wanting to just kill himself, commit suicide of sort, but then, he kept Eden in his mind.
He knew that there was still one more person out there that needed him. After Lexi left him,
she took his reason to stay alive, his reason to keep everything going. Lexi took his dedication,
his inspiration, and tore his love apart like no other. This broke young death eater was now
trying to pull himself together. He wanted to go back to how things use to be where he wouldn't
really care much for other people and be a cold heartless young man, but a portion of him didn't
want him to go back to the way he use to be. Selwin's pure heart was telling him that he needs
to keep going strong and live in for himself and for those he still loved. As Selwin gave it more
thought, he started to listen more towards his heart, instead of his brain. His heart was telling
him that there were still people out there that needed Selwin, such as Eden, his to-be born
children, and many other people that were close to Selwin. There weren't that many people
that were close to Selwin, but there were few that were close to him.

As this point, this young death eater, having a war inside him was ready to give up. So many
complications in his life were just tearing him apart. In all of this commotion, while looking at
the playful children, he heard a voice. At first, he thought this was the voice of hope in his life,
the voice that would help him come out of his fears, a voice that would guide him, a voice that
may help him get through all of this. This proved to be a bit false when he saw another young
individual standing in front of him. The hopes that Selwin had were still there, but they were
not tied to this new man that had appeared in front of him. Selwin tried to pull himself together
so he could put a smile on for this young man that was standing in front of him. Lifting his face,
he smiled at the young individual that was standing there. "Maybe, maybe not. That's up to
the girl that betrayed me."
Said Selwin with all honesty. Right now, Selwin did not feel like
hiding anything nor telling any lies. He was tired of lying, hiding and running. He just wanted to
sit down and just get it all out. Selwin prided himself of having lots of patience, but he had been
holding everything in for most of his life. He has been showing patience all of his life and all he
needed was just one chance to get it all out. He didn't know how to get it out because there
wasn't really anyone he could talk. Mostly everyone had left his to get his own problems solved.
True friend's were those who were there to help whenever a person would be in trouble, but
everyone had just left him. There was Eden, who would be able to help him, but she was in school
at Hogwarts and it wasn't time for holiday vacations yet. "Sit down my friend. What may your
name be?"
Asked Selwin with a smile as he moved her a little bit to give some room the the
individual. "The name is Selwin." Said Selwin introducing himself. Taking a deep breath, he
wanted to just sit and relax right now and perhaps have a friendly conversation as that is what he
really needed right now.
