Briar had been working hard on her halloween costume for a while, she had spent a few afternoons in the cavern with a mirror practicing the transfiguration, with a potion that would undo any transfiguration that she had messed up. thankfully she had only needed it once or twice. now she was heading up to the great hall from the cavern, she had got "changed" in there to keep her costume as a surprise, and to make sure that there were no mistakes in the transfiguration. she wasn't sure that now she wanted to go as a wolf, but she had worked so hard on getting it right, she didn't want it to go to waste, and she didn't have anything else to go as. she entered the hall wondering how long it would take the first years to realise that it was just a spell and not a real transformation as it wasn't the full moon.
The first thing she did was make a be line for the refreshment table, her appetite had started to pick up again over the last couple of days, and although not at its usual level it she was currently hungry. she looked around to see if there was anything gory she could eat. there was the usual assortment of pumpkin dishes, pasties, and soup, and a lot of lollies, a little down the table she saw some cakes that had been designed to look like fingers. she picked a few of them up with her almost paw like hands, which were fury and had claws as opposed to nails, and chewed on the end of one of them. as she looked around the hall brushing some of her hair out of her face. she had decided to keep her hair so that people could tell who she was and so that it was clear that it wasn't a real transformation. the head girl was trying to see if she could find anyone she knew. she hadn't been the most social recently working hard, doing anything to keep her busy. Tonight she hoped this evening she would be able to socialise properly without thinking of HIM and having those thoughts ruin her evening.
