Isobel left the Slytherin common room. She had nothing to do and no one was around. Sighing, she started walking around the dungeons, wondering why everyone found them so scary. "Hellllooo!" She called loudly, and waiting for the echo to reply. She knew that it was childish, but no one was around and she found it hilarious that people were scared by such things. She heard someone yell from a nearby dungeon, and walked the other way, laughing coldly at the thought of her scaring someone. Turning a corner, she found herself in darkness, only wishing that her cousin Alice was with her, who was scared of the dark. "Lumos." She commanded, flicking her wand carelessly around her fingers. The light appeared and she held it up, taking in the surrounding area that seemed to be a dungeon that she hadn't come across before.

Clarke was wondering the halls of the castle, not knowing what to do. He was extremely annoyed with the endless chatter of the other students in the Great Hall and wanted some quiet time for himself, as he always had. He descended down the stairs to the dungeons, not really knowing where he was going, but not really caring either. After all, he would fine his way back after some time, and Clarke wasn't one to be scared of the dark. He continued walking, deep in thoughts, thinking of his lessons at Hogwarts - they were quite annoying, except potions, that he liked a lot, especially the Professor. He was one of those people that Clarke liked a lot - he knew what was good for him and never rallied himself with the problems of others. After a while, he stopped. Seeing only darkness around him, he took out his wand and said " Lumos! " - its tip lighted up. He saw that he was with someone else - a girl, he recognized her from Slytherin. " Strange seeing someone here. " he said coldly, approaching her.

Isobel spun around with her wand held high as she heard someone speak and a light appear from the tip of their wand. She listened to what they had to say and recognised the source of the voice as a boy from Slytherin, one whom she had seen from the sorting ceremony. "And why would that be? Its a free country and a free school." She said, her tone cold and apprehensive as she waited to discover whether this boy would be a friend or a foe. She had enough enemies already in the school, and wasn't planning on making another one, especially one from her own house. Sighing, she smiled faintly, hoping that he would take this as a sign of hopeful friendship rather than mocking.

" No need to be that snappy. I didn't do anything to you. I was just wondering what is someone doing in this dump here. " he said, not overly surprised by her reaction, for he would have reacted the same way had someone asked him that sort of question. He waited for any reaction - he hadn't meant anything bad by that comment and he hoped that the girl would take it that way.

Isobel smiled, a smile full of hopeful friendship and possible alliance. "Sorry. I thought you were someone else." She said, keeping her comments short so not to come across as rude any more. She had many things on her mind at the current time, and this was the reason for her shortness and disinterest in talking too much. Smirking slightly at the randomness of it all, she looked around and held her wand up high in the air, casting a great light on the area, highlighting forgotten cobwebs and old cauldrons, left to rot in the misery of the dungeon that they were currently in.

Clarke caught himself looking a bit too long as she smiled - that smile had some strange effect on him. But he didn't exactly know what was happening. Smiling slightly, something he had not done for a long time, he also turned to regard their surroundings. " Wonder what's hidden here. Other than darkness, that is. " he commented. It was strange - being here with this particular girl - who if he wasn't wrong was called Isobel Hills. He had seen her before in the common room but never had made contact with her whatsoever.

Isobel smiled and shrugged. "Don't know... Lets go look." She decided, walking towards the door or the dungeon. As she reached the door of the dungeon she spun around to look at him. "Not too scared right?" She asked, her tone mocking as she laughed. It wasn't her usual cold laugh but wasn't a warm happy one that people normally associated with Hufflepuffs or Gryffindors. Smirking slightly at the idea that she would look like one of those people, she composed her facial expressions and walked into the dungeon, her wand held high in the air.

Clarke followed the girl deeper into the dungeon, a bit perplexed by that laugh she had just sported, which wasn't very common for the Slytherins, who preferred not to laugh at all most of the time. But he figured that she was just trying to be friendly, and that didn't bother him a bit. He almost felt happy that he had met her here, like if he hadn't he would have lost something big. He just continued after her as they advanced through the dungeon.

So, how're we gonna do this? It can't be like Alice and George. :p

Isobel walked through the dungeons with her wand levitated above her. Looking around, she saw empty cauldrons and spider webs everywhere. "Nice." She commented, her tone flat with amusement. Magic obviously wasn't hard to perform and therefore she didn't understand why people didn't get rid of this stuff. Ok, so it increased the idea of the general dungeon scene, but it still wasn't nice. Frowning with disgust as she ducked a spider's web, she turned to see her fellow Slytherin who seemed to be very quiet and not saying anything. "You ok?" She asked, smirking at the thought that the dungeon was scaring him.

" Why shouldn't I be? " he snapped, without wanting to. Hoping that she hadn't taken that as an insult, he moved towards her, regarding the spider webs and evil looking old cauldrons. That didn't freak him out, but he didn't enjoy it much. The whole view was sort of... evil looking. Cursing that he had met the girl exactly here, he continued looking, still waiting for Isobel's reaction.

Raising her eyebrows at his snappy and angry response she rolled them at him. "Calm down hot head, i just was checking that you weren't afraid." She mocked. She stopped and looked around at him, he was staring at the dungeon and she wondered for the first proper time whether he was actually ok or whether he was just making it up. Raising an eyebrow his way, she turned back around and moved into another dungeon. This one was less dirty and as far as Isobel could see, there were no cobwebs anywhere. "Nox." She commanded, flicking her wand as she did so, throwing the two Slytherin's into complete darkness. A feeling of laughter came upon her as she thought of her cousin in there, Alice, who hated the dark above most other things. Smirking still at the idea, she sighed and flicked her wand again. "Lumos." She repeated, throwing shadows around the room from the source of light on the tip of her wand. "Spooky." She commented again, her tone still flat with boredom. The tone that she used was one of someone who couldn't be bothered and wasn't impressed or scared by the change in light. Frowning slightly, she saw a bench at one end, and made her way towards it, picking up and removing items as she went. Reaching the seat, she sat down and looked around, wondering if the boy had any ideas of things to do whilst they had no where to go and no one to annoy.
