[Lycus Jin Howard]

Yule ball is coming and students are starting to ask each others company out for the event. Lycus wasn't interested in the stupid ball thing. He would rather read in his dorm and have the room all to himself. He wondered what Augustus was planning on doing on that day. Both Lycus and Augustus shared the similar way of thinking, they were both not interested in romance in fact it was disgusting for them. They wanted their future to be like their parents, partners in crime not boy friend or girlfriend thing. Lycus shook his head to get things off his head and walked toward the lake. The summer breeze brushed through his face as he closed his eyes and listened to the birds singing from tree to tree. He missed home and missed his family, the only thing that was close to home was nature with no disturbance of any human voice.

Kaia felt that the Yule ball wasn't that great or interesting, for that matter. She enjoyed watching everyone but she also grew bored out of her mind and normally left anyway. In fact, she never went last year because she wasn't one for dances unless she had someone to go with. She laughed to herself at the thought of Lycus dancing with her - not that he'd ever ask her such a thing. But the Ravenclaw didn't mind. Kaia preferred quieter days, and she felt slightly sensitive so the girl decided she'd go to the lake today. Arriving, she immediately spotted her friend so she went over to him. She smiled at the sight, at him closing his eyes and enjoying himself. To be honest, she never could tell when Lycus was having fun (did he even know the definition of the word?) She didn't want to spoil him moment so in order to make her presence known, Kaia sat down on the grass and sighed in content. Today was going to be an awesome day. ​

 

[Augustus Jin Howard]

Augustus loved the time of year when the Yule ball occurred, it meant he could have his fun without anybody noticing - he was able to disguise himself. Naturally, it was fun to cause drama for other people who were enjoying the dancing and interacting and sometimes kissing and ugh. All of that disgusting stuff Gus thought revolting. He made a face. The Gryffindor wanted to be outside and of all days today he chose the lake as the place to hang out. When he spotted his twin - no better yet, he also noticed Kaia, Lycus's girl friend, he decided to have his mischief then and there. He sat down next to the girl, whistling before whispering in her ear "hey girl" hoping to make her extremely uncomfortable.

Lycus heard a familiar voice and decided to walk back toward the castle when suddenly he stepped on something. The boy looked down and a hand was snatched away from the grass and noticed that it was not just a hand, it was Kaia's hand. He glanced at her flatly and kneel down and watched her reaction. "Your hand was on the way" Lycus could never apologize to other people, in fact the whole family couldn't do such thing. He grabbed Kaia's hand forcefully and took a small bottle of potion that he brewed with Kaia earlier and smudged the liquid on Kaia's hand. "You should feel better soon" Lycus placed the bottle back to his pocket and stood up and made his way toward Augustus. "What's your intention in engaging in any activity with Kaia?" Lycus knew what's his and he liked to keep it that way. The possessive nature runs in the family and it wasnt just Lycus, Augustus would do the same.
