Ares may not have known many of those on his list of rose deliveries, but one person he did he would call a friend. The Gryffindor was now stood outside the Ravenclaw common room, unusual quiet as this time he didn't need to shout, or ask who it was he was looking for. He'd know her when he saw her. Crossing the corridor, Ares peered out of the window toward the Quidditch pitch, resting his forearms on the window still and his forehead on the glass. He'd never considered flying beyond the lessons they'd had, but there was a much better view of the pitch from up here than anywhere else in the castle.

It seemed like an incredible stroke of luck that just as Marina had received her rose from Ares, he should show up right after. "Ares, I just got your rose," she said, holding it up to show him. She thought this whole Valentine's thing was a bit silly, but she appreciated that he'd thought of her for the moment at least.

Ares had also received his rose from Marina, when he was in the middle of eating his breakfast. He did hope however that she hadn't gotten wind of what he'd told Lilith moments after. "Oh? Right, yeah." Had Ares forgotten what he'd written in the note to Marina? Perhaps. He was quite sure it had been nice though. He'd did like the Ravenclaw, she was the only one that didn't make him feel like a complete fool or that he was a waste of space. "Seems like the right thing to do," he told her, slipping the yellow rose into her hand. He remembered the one she'd sent him; that one had been pink. Did she really have a crush on him or was that just because it was her favourite colour? Now he was on the spot, he wasn't really sure how he was supposed to find out.
