Freya stared out the window of her room at the full moon that shone bright over the landscape. The past year had been a blinding nightmare for her. He father had passed away, her husband had left her, again and her son was living his life happily in England and no longer really needed her. And while she was happy with most of her life, it did feel as if something was missing, that she needed something or perhaps she needed a change. "Yes, a change..." she thought to herself.

She looked around her room. The room she grew up in, and came back to after her first husband Tyr had been killed. The room she raised her son in until it came time for him to go to Hogwarts. The room she came back to when her mother was sick and where she stayed after her second husband Conor had left her and where she shed her tears when her father died. This room had been such a great comfort to her but perhaps now it was smothering her. Keeping her hidden from the world and hiding her from life. She knew this was not the way Tyr or her father would want her to live. She almost felt ashamed that she had let herself become just a shadow of the person she once was.

Freya smiled to herself as she remembered her younger self. She was fun, passionate, smart and strong. When she had changed to this shell of a woman, she had no idea. But no more. She stood and straightened her shoulders back. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. "You need a change Freya." She said to herself. "You need a change."
The plans were set. Freya had packed up her belongings, put the caretaker in charge of the castle, and was moving her life back to New Zealand. She had been happy there at Hogwarts, maybe she could be again. She'd never really been this spontaneous, but it felt right to her. In fact she was being so spontaneous she didn't even have a job lined up. Her father had left her quite comfortable so she could take her time and find the right thing for herself, but for someone who planned everything to the nth degree, this was a giant leap of faith.

"This time tomorrow we'll be back home..." She said to her owl Raidio, a hint of whimsy in her voice. "Hmmm home."
