Aroha looked in the mirror at her bruises, trying not to fall asleep. She had been utterly exhausted lately, and pulled herself up with the aid of her dresser to sit on her four-poster. She didn't know why she was feeling like this, but was starting to regret her decision that she made in the holidays. Tess had been worried, but Aroha had ignored it. And now it was all worse.

She stood up and grabbed a glass of water, but was unable to keep her hand steady enough to hold it. It smashed to the ground, too loud for the kitten's liking. "Oh Percy, sorry." she sighed, collapsing on the bed again and picking him up. "Percy what's wrong?" she asked, wondering what was affecting her like this. Aroha had a decision to make, and she needed to make it now. "Right, Perc. I'm going." she muttered, mostly to herself. The commonroom was empty, and Aroha was able to slip downstairs without being noticed.

Aroha held onto the banister of the stairs as she moved silently down them. She hated this feeling, she felt absolutely gross. Aroha stopped outside the Hospital Wing and opened the large doors, stepping through them and feeling faint. "Nurse.." she muttered grimly as she fell to the floor. Her forehead was burning up and her robes were just covering the edge of a large bruise on her calf.

Stirring a cup of tea, Dahlia looked around at the sleepy figures in the Hospital Wing, thoughts of Deimos plaguing her mind. Dahlia smiled to herself, she missed him a lot but she was looking forward to seeing him again. Perhaps she'd send him a letter tomorrow, after she was more rested. Stifling a yawn, Dahlia got up to do the rounds of the wing once again when she heard a noice - the doors opening. Looking up, Dahlia gasped as she saw a young girl, only second year or so, falling to the floor. "Good God," she whispered, rushing over in a few strides to the girl and picking her up off the floor, before carrying her to the closest bed.

Placing the girl down gently on the bed, Dahlia quickly conjured a cool cloth for her head and dabbed the girl's forehead, looking her over. Bruises, temperature, she looked weak...this was not good. "Sweetheart, can you hear me?" Dahlia asked, cautiously. "What's your name, honey?" There was nothing but the utmost care and concern in Dahlia's voice. She was scared, truly scared, but she wouldn't let the girl see that. Besides, it was probably just overreacting. But the last time she'd seen a girl look like this...well, it had been Iris.

Slowly coming round, Aroha felt a cool cloth dabbing at her forehead. She registered the lack of an uncomfortable marble floor beneath her and realized that the nurse had moved her. The Gryffindor brought a hand up to the side of her head, establishing that she had fainted. "Yeah.." Aroha muttered, with no energy to say much more than that. "Aroha. My name's Aroha." She closed her eyes, but remained awake, pondering matter-of-fact-ly over her name. It sounded silly now; Aroha had no maori blood in her at all yet her parents had given her the name anyway. How odd. Aroha then realized that she was in the same bed that she was in last time. It's funny how important little things can become to you at a time like this.
