Dante Styx had a lot of exploring to do. This castle was massive. It put him in mind of the Zhefarovich Manor when he was allowed to go there. Similar rules applied: do not venture into forbidden areas or he might never see the light of day again. Hogwarts doesn’t seem to be the ‘or never see the light of day’ warning, but some areas were off limits for some reason. That was why Dante found himself at the cliffs. They didn’t seem too bad. Although, one small push and it was a long way down. Boy did he hope that it was not the case for him. Then his siblings would be dealing with another death in the family. Though, with a family as large as theirs, deaths were pretty common. Dante was still numb over it. Perhaps it would hit him down the road, but for now, his excitement was elsewhere. Distractions were entirely too good right now. He peeked over the edge of the cliffs again, shuddered, and took a couple of steps backward. He stretched his arms above his head when he heard someone else coming from behind him. Oh? He wondered if he had been busted by a prefect, or even better, a professor!

Lucy had decided that it was as good a day as any to go for a long walk around the Hogwarts grounds. She was impressed at the size and variety - there were gardens, the lawn, the lake, and of course the forest, which she knew she wasn't supposed to go into. Lucy appreciated the outdoors and valued what each different area brought to the whole but that day she kept going further and further until finally she reached the cliffs. There was someone else out there too, she could make him out, and she approached in a steady walk. "Hello!" she greeted from behind them. "What are you doing all the way out here?" It was picturesque but even Lucy couldn't help but feel the gloomy atmosphere of the steep cliffs. She wondered privately if she should have gone out this far.

Dante heard a voice that sounded young, too young to have any authority. Dante let out a sigh as he turned around, obviously disappointed. It was another first year, though he had yet to learn the names of his classmates. He wasn't sure if he cared enough to do so. That would likely depend on if they were interesting enough to do so. She even asked what he was doing all the way at the cliffs. "I don't know, but is it really any of your business?" Dante countered. He folded his arms across his chest since he had no reason to really explain why he was here, and out of bounds. He wanted to see how authority reacted when a first year was blatantly disregarding the rules. And apparently, he wasn't getting busted except by another first year.
