Retrieving back from break brought a whole new sudden change in the school all together. First of all the newly sorted and transfer students were walking about, lost in this enormous castle, some so lost you could always pick them out from the regular students. Than follow dad's promotion from Astronomy professor to Care of magical creature, and rumors were going around that Briar Rowan, her best friend in school, had been promoted to perfect status! It was shocking yet it made sense, Briar was like and always seem to be guarding the forest grounds. If you put two and two together, you will understand it too.

Though she feared the sudden change, or felt sort of paranoid that it meant not seeing Briar often. She be to busy caring for the younger students at Hogwarts. A string of emotions made her slightly sad not able to see Briar all the time. Besides her so called boyfriend and her dad, Briar had been the center of all the friends she made here. Madlyn pushed her tawny hair away from her eyes, after seeing her dad and expressing her concern, she stress it far enough about making perfect status next year happen. She figured with her as perfect, she could spent more time with Briar as well wrestling the younger students to behave better. Alone while she wonder the great lawn, she was determine to do just what she plan.

Rue's day had gone fairly well, but only in the sense that she hadn't yet fallen on her face. Smiling as she strolled carelessly on the huge school lawn, which a few scattered students were also sitting or running around on, the sun shone in her face. Squinting and putting a hand over her eyes, just how small she was had started to creep up on her again. The first years towered above her, and it was a struggle not to get trodden on amonst the hustle and bustle of the corridors. That was how she had ended up outside, and now she was starting to enjoy herself again. It was a little tricky getting used to her way around the castle, but at least she wasn't the only one getting lost. Most of the first years, and a few other transfers could often be seen looking a little bewildered in the towers, with no idea how they'd got there. It was nice, for once, to not be the odd one out.

Rue sat down on the lawn and scanned the field with her turquoise blue eyes, before spotting an overly tall young girl. Smiling, Rue guessed straight away that she must have had traces of giants blood in her veins, though she wasn't sure just how much. She decided to stay away, though, because of how awkward she found trying to introduce herself to strangers. Usually, if anybody cared, they'd be the one to approach Rue. Even this was difficult, because she always assumed they were going to comment on her height.

Madlyn distant away from the school grounds were a good ten minute walk for a regular person to get by the steps of the school. For Madlyn it would take five, a lesser time since she always double the steps of any regular person. It's one of the reason why she walk slow and steady, that and she had no round reason to rush except for class in the morning. She twirled around, fiddling with strands of hair entwine to her index finger, right from a distant she saw something so small look at her direction.

To small to look like a first year, more like five year old. She squinted her eyes, Madlyn hand laid slanted at her forehead. She had a lesser good vision when the sun's glaring down at you and the figure were to small to make out really, nothing she could do but walk over and perhaps introduce herself. She grew nearer and nearer, alas she saw the ears and it made sense already. "Hello are you new?" she was still further away from the girl, small and all, the age stayed in the face, she wonder how old and what year can she possibly be in.
