Whammys' parents Star and Shewpert were joined in family when an owner of each got married. After their owners were married Star and Shewpert were joined togethere. From that six baby house elfs were born. Unfortunately two years after their owners got married they separated, meaning that they would have to divide all of the house elfs among both families. Whammy and his two other brothers and father were sent to live with the husbands side of the family. While his three sisters and mother stayed with the bride.
Whammy was only able to stay with his remaining family for two months. That is because his owner gave whammy away as a wedding gift to one of his friends. At his new home Whammy was treated as if he was less than trash. His only friend was the young child his new owners had. The child grew up and against his parents wishes was kind and a friend to Whammy. When the child was fully grown up his parents died living all of their possessions to him. The boy eventually decided to let Whammy be free, but instead of letting Whammy wonder around the entire wizarding world, the boy came to New Zealand and gave Whammy up to the only wizarding school in New Zealand. Which is were Whammy has lived ever since.
