Ivan wasn’t too happy that he had to spend a few days at his mother’s place. Even though she was his legal guardian and all the crap it didn’t mean he wanted to do it. He would have been quite happy to stay at Durmstrang over the holiday period, with Powell away the school was pretty much free reign for anyone who wanted to take it, the Professors were too scared to do anything about the students, not without Powell there.

Regardless he was here now and he wasn’t going anywhere; especially not when he had a reason for being here. He didn’t know why he and Joce just couldn’t meet up at Brightstone like usual but he figured now that she and her brother were on good terms again a warm house would be a good a place as any to meet up. Sitting up in his room he sat listening to some muggle music, bored out of his wits until Joce showed up.

Relieved and excited to be on the good side of Thomas and he on hers, Joceline shyly entered his home. Instantly she noticed the difference between his and her own. Tommy's home, felt like a home, while hers was simply a house filled with people that didn't like her. The friendly introduction to Thomas and Ivan's mother, made the young Slytherin's smile widen as they exchanged polite words until she was sent upstairs to find the guest room.

Walking up with Thomas, she looked around his family home and smiled softly. This type of home, where people loved one another and the sort, well she had wanted this since she turned eleven but until then she was glad to have such wonderful friends that were able to board her up. After dumping her trunk in the guest room onto the bed, she left the room but not wishing to bug Thomas just yet, she went in search of Ivan, carefully opening the door to each closed room, knocking at them carefully.

Coming across one last room, Joce heard the tune to a song she knew and smiled. She was sure this wasn't Tommy's room as he had not gone in the same direction, so she opened the door daringly and said, "Hi honey I'm home." She giggled lightly as she pranced forward, the door swinging shut behind her without her doing. She sat beside her friend and gave him a hug tightly.

Thomas couldn't think of a better way of celebrating Joce and himself rekindled their friendship than asking her to his house for the holidays. Thomas was so glad that she had accepted his invitation but he had a feeling that the idea that Ivan was going to be there also was a bit of a deal maker. This didn't bother Thomas though, he knew what their past was and he knew there was nothing he could do about it.

Once the holidays had arrived Thomas and Joce made their way to his house which thankfully wasn't too far from Obsidian. After introducing Joce to his mother, who had absolutely adored Joce, Thomas showed her to her room and left her to do what she wanted until dinner was ready.

Ivan hadn't heard his brother and Joce arrive as he had gotten fed up of his mother shouting at him about the music being too loud, so he had a pair of muggle earphones which stopped the music from travelling as far but still far enough for anyone passing his room to hear. Checking the time every so often he was starting to grow impatient and just wished his brother and Joce would hurry up and get there.

Thankfully not too long after Ivan looked up when he saw the door handle start to move. He rolled his eyes when he thought it was just his mother coming in again about to give off again about something or other. Although he was glad when he saw the familiar blue eyes of his friends Joce. He took his earphones off just in time to hear her words. Smirking slightly at them he sat up as she crossed the room. Returning her hug he gave her a quick kiss on the lips, missing that taste. "It's been too long. And letters definitely hold nothing on the real thing." he said with a slight wink.

Joceline beamed at Ivan as he gave her a kiss. Oh how she had missed the taste of her friend and as their lips pulled from one another's she listened to him and nodded in agreement. "Mmhmm," she murmured as she pressed her lips softly with his in a greeting that was their own. Instant comfort for spending time with the boy that was a, as they say, friend-with-benefits rushed through the French girl's body and she pulled her lips from his and smiled girlishly. "Far too long. You really should arrange for a transfer. I'm sure you'd get a kick out of the overwhelming ratio of girls to boys," she suggested grinning, although a part of her knew that her suggestion would not be taken because well Ivan seemed to detest Thomas enough, although that was what she had deduced from it and she really did not know the whole situation and did not want to make any assumptions.

Pulling away from Ivan, but still keeping close, Joceline glanced around his room and nodded in approval. It was simple and she liked it, not that she could expect anything less from Ivan Petrov - or was that Smith now? She slipped her hand in his, just to hold it and to let him know that she had missed him because she had. Joceline missed her friend's flirtatious ways and how comfortable and also uncomfortable he made her.

Ivan felt Joce's lips on his once more and he lingered longer in this one, making up for lost time. He felt like he could say so much more with his kiss than he could with words; he wasn't good with words at the best of times. Breaking apart once more he listened to his friends' words. The thought of it made him smirk, it would definitely be an interesting and new experience. He had learned that the girls at Hogwarts were a lot more interesting than the ones at Durmstrang. Truth be told he had gotten somewhat bored with a lot of them, they all seemed to make it too easy for him whereas the Hogwarts girls made the whole game more fun! Despite this he knew that Transferring wouldn't be the best of ideas, what he and Thomas had now was good, not great but better than before, and to go to the same school as his would definitely ruin whatever it was they had.

Feeling Joce's delicate fingers slip into his own hands his smile softened, something he only ever really did around Joce. He enjoyed what they had, whatever it was. Even though he wasn't really sure what it was they had he knew it was what he wanted, he wasn't the type of boy that could really see himself been tied to just one girl and with Joce he was able to see whomever he placed and still have Joce with no strings attached. "So what do you want to do?" he asked, figuring he had to play host in some way or another. "Or do you just want to stay here?" he asked, his usual playful smirk returning.

Joceline looked over at her friend with a smile as she saw the softness in his face. She really liked that he was able to show her this side of himself and even happier that he had this side. “I’m fine with staying here, unless you’d like to go out. I don’t want you darling mother to catch us,” she said glancing at the door worridly at the thought of being kicked out of her friends’ homes just for kissing Ivan, not that the woman even seemed to care to find her child until the similarities were picked up by herself.

"Oh c'mon I guess we should go," she sighed defeatedly before standing up and turning in front of Ivan, making a move to step back but still holding his hand in the warmth and comfort of her own. The thirteen year old smiled charmingly, hoping to convince Ivan to leave the room with her because she did want to spend time with the both of them.

Once Thomas had finished unpacking a few of his things he made his way back to the guest room where Joce was staying. With no answer from her he figured she had went in search of Ivan. Shrugging he went downstairs to help his mum out with a few last minutes things for dinner. Joce was after all his friend and she was a guest in this house so he had to do as much to help out as she stayed here.

When the food was ready Thomas' mother started to set the table as the young Ravenclaw went upstairs to tell Joce and Ivan to come down. Knocking lightly on Ivan's door Thomas walked on in, glad to not catch the two doing something he'd rather not see. "Come on you two. Food's ready. Plenty of time for catch up after." he said with a small smirk. The idea of his friend and his brother making out was a tad repulsive but he was used to the idea and like to tease them a bit about their kind of 'friendship.'

Ivan rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically as Joce mentioned how she wouldn't want his mother to catch them, not like he cared what the woman thought. "Fine!" he said at the end of his sigh. Following suit Ivan stood up off of his bed, still holding Joce's hand. Turning he saw his brother enter the room. Glaring at his lightly he nodded his head. "Come on!" he said as he made his way down to the dining room with Joce by his side. "Yes or no?" he asked Joce just outside of the dining room as he indicated to their linked hands. He didn't exactly care what his mother would say but he wanted to take Joce's thoughts on the idea into consideration.

Joceline looked over her shoulder to see Thomas and she smiled softly at her friend before looking back at Ivan. As they walked down she chewed down on her bottom lip, reveling in the taste of Ivan Petrov. But at his question, she became anxious and looked from him to the dining room and back again. "We can't get in trouble for this, we're friends, right?" She hoped this was as sound of an answer as she could possibly give to Ivan before she glanced over to him, kissing his cheek gently with a grin, before walking forward into the dining room.
