Miro was excited to have his cousins finally attend Hogwarts, not only so he had more friends to hang out with and so he could be the cool older cousin and show them around the castle, but also for the chance to attend all the Hogwarts events with them. Namely, he was looking forward to the Halloween feast for the chance to take part in a group costume rather than avoiding the feast entirely. With his cousins to keep him company, Miro worried less about embarrassing himself and focused more on having fun for their sake, and he was everything other than embarrassed, almost proud of himself even when he arrived to the Halloween feast dressed as the cat in the hat. The costume was warm to the point he knew he would overheat later, and his face paint was messy but he was happy, and had a pep to his step as he walked into the great hall with his cousins, dressed as thing one and thing two respectively by his side. "I kinda wanna try all the sweets first what do you guys wanna do?" He asked gently, always food motivated as he looked over to where all the snacks were and he began to eye up the different options. Really, what was Halloween if not a chance to dress up then a chance to also stuff his face with chocolate?

Hogwarts was scary. Aleja had always known that it would be scary, but it was scary. Vivian had known she would struggle - Aleja had always had a lot in common with her older brother - and he had done his best to prepare her, to give her ways to cope with being in such a chaotic place, people crowding around on all sides. But even that wasn't nearly enough, with so much happening on all sides. The only real consolation Aleja had found was how easy it was to blend in with so many people. Everyone was so preoccupied with their own things that nobody really seemed to actually notice her. It was kind of ideal in a lot of ways.

Today didn't quite fit that bill though. Dressing up for small trick or treating trips with friends had always been fun, but dressing up in such a bright and noticeable costume, with such a big group... it was a lot. She was glad to have Carolina by her side, but Miro... as comforting as his presence was, Miro had always been a much bigger, louder person than Aleja. She didn't want to be crowded by his friends, but she definitely wasn't wandering off on her own. Besides, parties were supposed to be fun. Maybe if she relaxed and just tried ot enjoy it, things wouldn't be bad after all. She followed Miro's eyes to the snack table when he spoke, unable to help a small smile at just how predictable her cousin was. "We can get lollies..."

The Halloween feast would likely be loud and overwhelming, a real party in comparison to Carolina's previous, more quiet experiences trick or treating for the holiday. It certainly didn't make her more comfortable in what was still such an unfamiliar castle and being so far away from home, but she nevertheless wanted to at least try and enjoy the feast for Miro's sake, and make the effort the three of them had made in wearing a group costume worth the hassle leading up to that day. She held Aleja's hand as the three of them walked into the great hall, and looked around to see all the decorations and other students dressed up. It definitely made her feel a little less out of place knowing everyone looked a little silly but she was aware that was part of the point of it all. Miro's suggestion they seek out the sweets brought Carolina's attention away from her surroundings and she gave Miro a nod to show she agreed, and wanted to also try some lollies but likely not as many as Miro probably wanted. "Do you like any other costumes?" Carolina gently asked Aleja a moment later, wanting to gauge if her twin felt the same about everything that was going on, if the idea of everyone being in costume was comforting or still felt a little odd, if it contributed to how out of sorts it still felt to be away from home for the first time.

Aleja's response was all the convincing Miro needed to quickly head to the table of sweets, not that he needed any convincing really, and quickly beginning to pick up different chocolates and candies. He placed a couple of sweets in his mouth to chew as he went even if the flavor of chocolate and sour gummy candy didn't exactly mix well, causing him to frown slightly as he looked back to his younger cousins. "The sour worms are good if you don't have them with chocolate." He added, moving his free hand to adjust the white and red striped hat on his head that had fallen slightly askew. "This is the first time I've really dressed up for Halloween here, so it's fun we can dress up as a group." Miro said gently almost trying to thank his cousins for agreeing to dress up and keep him company for the feast. It felt like he actually had the opportunity to make the most of the Hogwarts events and have fun knowing his cousins were nearby.
