Andromeda had another day before the full moon hit, she was dreading it. Her first at Hogwarts since her return. Would she be expected to go to the cavern on her own or would a professor escort down. She wandered about the castle trying to get a feel for the place again after so long. She came upon the trophy room and stopped. Here her dreams of beating Bruin, of winning one cup after another had begun. She remembered wanting to win so badly, her first trip up here with Brian. She missed him now and wondered why he kept himself away from her, perhaps he had reviewed the whole friendship deal again. She couldn't blame him now, she was less than a proper girl now, one normal leg the other a dud, of course she had been less than a proper girl for nearly two years now since she became a werewolf. But her friends had proved true then she just couldn't run the risk of them giving up on her now. She walked into the trophy room and went directly to the Quidditch cup. Her hands went directly up to the glass, at one time she knew her name would have been on the plague. She would have been a shoe in without a doubt to have been on the winning team but not now, not ever. She looked down at her left leg and hated herself, hated that no boy would or could ever look at her as if she were worth anything. She saw how Andrew looked at Zuka and envied her bestfriend enormously. Would any boy ever, every consider dating someone like her?
Looking at the trophies and all her lost dreams, she highly doubted it.

It seemed that the dungeon held absolutely no appeal for him today, Brandon wandered about the school with no classes to attend to until he came upon the trophy room. He was simply going to walk past when some movement caught his eye, looking in briefly a slow smile spread across his face. The Gryffindor girl, interesting and she was alone. Walking inside on treading silently, Brandon approached her.
"Hey Cherry, what are you up to here then?" he looked in the direction of the trophy case she had been standing infront of and noticed it was the quidditch trophy case. Did the girl think of anything else? First he had seen her on the pitch and now here infront of the cabinet. Surely she had other things to occupy her time besides quidditch. Brandon had never gotten the whole quidditch mania and thought most people who did were slightly demented.

Andromeda turned at the sound of the voice and immediately recognised the boy from the pitch. With a not so subtle groan she turned away from him to the trophy case again.
"I am not Cherry, you obviously are mistaking me for someone else" she rolled her eyes and turned towards another cabinet, this particular one held Halloween costume trophies which brought a smile to her face. She had never won one of course but it certainly wasn't from lack of trying. She had decided already to keep her costume nice and simple this year, she really wasn't going to go over the top like last years one.

"I know your name isn't Cherry but it suits you" he watched as she walked away from him to another cabinet and without hesitation followed her there. This case was full of other trophies, miscellaneous winnings for halloween costumes infact. He hadn't bothered himself attending the party last year, the other schools had been around then and he had not been in a very party type mood. Wondering exactly what it was that this girl had gone as he smiled at her.
"I'm Brandon, so unless you want me to keep calling you Cherry might I actually know your name? Or do I have to wait to get into trouble with the prefects before I find it out?"
He didn't understand why she wrought such a mixture of emotion in him, she wasn't necessarily beautiful though she was attractive in a peculiar way. All Brandon did know was that he wanted to get to know her, felt a need almost.

Andromeda placed her hands on the glass before her and took a deep sigh.
"My name is Andromeda, do not call me Cherry again. It sounds stupid and like some muggle cheerleader. I will never answer you if you call me it, do I make myself perfectly clear?" she turned her flashing amber orbs on him, piercing him almost with her stare.
Why was the boy so annoying for goodness sake? She turned back to the trophy cabinet again hoping he would just see teasing her as being a redundant thing to do and walk away.

Chace spent his time outside classes exploring the castle as of late, having taken Katalina's suggestion to heart. Personally, he hated having a near heart attack trying to get from class. The Astronomy Tower was leagues away from the Dungeons, and the fifteen year old boy found himself rueing the day that he would have to lug himself out of bed and get himself to class on time.

Trying at a door that was not locked, he stepped inside in one fluid motion, realizing that it was the trophy room. Not nearly as many trophies lay here as there had at Hogwarts Scotland, but then again that school was behind him. This school seemed to have a healthy, slowly accumulating collection.

He observed that a boy and a girl were in here, but he payed them no mind, figuring that he would just look around the room in silence. He smirked a bit as he scanned the awards for top points earner-some chap, Bruin was his name, had won it four times in a row. He continued to read the names on the trophies, although none of them rang a bell. The only two people he had really met were Kat and Nina, and for all that the latter had put herself out to be, she didn't have any trophies displayed here. He snorted a bit. Never trust people who toot their own horn, he thought to himself with a smirk.

Andromeda waited for the boy to say something else smart and trite but nothing seemed forthcoming. Thank goodness she mused before moving on to the next cabinet. The House Cups were here and she was thrilled to see how many times Gryffindor had won and that they had won last year as well. She became slightly broody on this point, knowing that her house did as good with her as without her hurt just a little, if not alot. The door to the trophy room swung open and someone else walked in, sheltered slightly by the cabinet she didn't get a good view but couldn't really care one way or the other. She just hoped that Brandon would cease to follow her. As she moved on to the next cabinet she got a clearer view of the other person, another Slytherin.

With a sigh and a heavy heart Andromeda hoped that she could get out of here without too much mishap. Many of the Durmstrang students were notorious for having family in Slytherin and it unnerved her no end. Looking quickly back to Brandon and then fleetingly to the older boy who had entered she wondered if they had family or friends there, if they had been tipped off to make her life miserable. She turned her head, not really looking at the trophies now just blankly staring ahead of herself trying to calm her irrational thoughts. Paranoid much, she chided herself. Or was she, after all she had been through did she not have the right to be paranoid? Even just a little.

Brandon liked her name, it seemed to suit her. He remembered stories his parents told him about the various galaxies and wondered if she knew her name was one of them. She moved on to another cabinet and the door opened to the room. Brandon watched as another boy entered, older and of his house. He looked to be one of the transfer students that he had seen about the common room, in passing of course. Brandon preferred not to mingle too much with the older students, though the one before him now the Gryffindor girl held him enthralled. Maybe she had put some kind of spell on him? He didn't usually make a big deal about girls at all.
He walked down to the next cabinet, careful to keep the other boy in view as well.
"Andromeda is fine by me" he smiled looking at the trophies she was looking at, the majority won by Gryffindor it would seem.
"So what's up with you then? The whole pale skin and wierd looking eyes?" he could have kicked himself for blurting it out but as beautiful as he considered her to be, she was also the strangest looking girl he had ever come across.
"I mean like, do you have some sort of illness or something?" now he just wanted the ground to open up and swallow him whole, was there anyway of salvaging this? He didn't think so but clamped his mouth shut incase he blurted out some more insane comments.

Andromeda could not believe her ears when Brandon opened his mouth and more wretched sordid comments were flung at her. She glared at him before storming off in the other direction. Of course her temper was now getting the better of her and blind white heat seemed to cloud her judgement, so much so that she all but careened into the other Slytherin boy. A slight gasp escaped her, was she trapped between the pair of them? Was he also going to start in on her about her name and her looks. Her eyes bore into his, daring him to say something but at the same time, a look - just a flicker of pleading crept into her eyes too. If this older boy were to pick up and continue from Brandon's jibes she would not be able to bear it.

Although he tried his best not to eavesdrop, Chace could not help overhearing the conversation that was going on. He blamed it on the fact that he was the only person not conversing in a large, open room prone to echoes. The Andromeda girl, or whatever her name was, didn't seem like she was too happy. Deciding against telling the two to move their conversation elsewhere, as he normally would have done, he figured he would try and be helpful, as an older student should. He stepped back as the girl nearly walked into him, his lips forming a frown as he looked to the other boy. "Hey chap," he started, his voice soft, "I think you better lay off on the insults." At least, he thought that they sounded like insults- he hoped that this wasn't just a matter of misunderstanding. "I mean- sorry to eavesdrop and all, but that sounded quite rude if you ask me."

Zazuka was humming to herself after having a pleasent walk in the garden. She loved to be outside epecially in fall weather. She was about to over look the trophy room like she always did while going up to Ravenclaw tower when she noticed Andy in the middle of two boys both it seemed Slytherin. She had nothing against the house. She was dating one of them at the moment but she could feel that things where not going well.

She entered and tapped the glass to gain attention. "Andy, there you are you promised to help me with a few things." She said. Her voice came out in her usual dreamy manner even though she felt a bit out of place here. She was hoping that Andy would get that it was an excuse that she came up with so she could make her escape. Though she could have misread the situation in it could be nothing at all. Zazuka looked down with her hand on her chin thinking of what she had just done.

Andromeda looked dumbfounded at the boy infront of her, had she heard him right? He had not laid any attack verbal or otherwise on her shoulders but instead let Brandon know how insulting or at the very least how rude he had been. She was grateful but shock probably registered with her more at this point, she was weary of how would her grandmother have put it, 'beware of Greeks bearing gifts!' Her amber eyes focused on him until a slight noise made her look away, she had never in her life been more relieved to see someone she knew, a decidedly friendly face. Her best friend really was being her life saver this year and yet, for some reason Andromeda felt she hadn't really needed saving. Not sure if she should even trust her instincts though, she breathed an audible sigh of relief and nodded her head in Zuka's direction.
"Sure Z, sorry I forgot" she turned to Brandon merely being able to shake her head at the uselessness of everything that came out of his mouth before turning back to the boy infront of her.
"Thank you".
She didn't want to say anymore, she felt she didn't have to say anymore as she made to move away.

Standing there speechless Brandon raised a hand and slapped his forehead as if he were the most stupidest person in the world. Another girl had come in to so obviously rescue Andromeda from him, the older boy had sort of accused him of being rude and insulting, he hadn't meant to be. Usually he was alright speaking with girls, usually. Before she could leave Brandon spoke up.
"I'm sorry. Sometimes I can't control what comes out of my mouth, I tend to put my foot in it fairly often" this part was not true, he was usually for focused on what he wanted to say and do, thought in depth about many things so what was it about this girl that made him goof up constantly.
Looking at the older boy he shrugged his shoulders.
"Really man, I wasn't trying to be insulting. I was curious that's all. It's a missunderstanding" he raised his two hands in the air as a means of showing he was being genuine now.

Andromeda turned around to face Brandon as he gave an outburst of an apology. Perhaps she had misunderstood him but how could she have? Everything that he had said to her just felt and sounded so blunt and cruel. Of course maybe she was being too sensitive, he didn't know she was a werewolf for goodness sake, he didn't know that she was pale and gaunt because of this. Her amber eyes though had nothing to do with her werewolf form, though they had lightened considerably over the last two years.
"Curiousty killed the cat, if you have a decent question to ask a girl ask it but try to think before you speak in future" she turned away again but after taking another step turned back to him, "I accept your apology".

Zazuka laughed into her hand at this as kindly as she could. "We all have virbal slip ups from time to time but you really should go over what you say in your mind first. Unless of course you think it's alright to say than a once over shouldn't be too bad." She realized then that her voice had gotten dreamyer which ment that she was going to run over what was in her mind. Never a good thing. It made people laugh at her. She could sence that things where going well again but she didn't want to leave Andy alone for the sake of what was going on. For a moment she felt a but like a sidekick but she didn't mind. Zazuka loved to feel needed as much as she loved to help people.

Chace nodded at the boy. "Well, from the sounds of it, no worries I guess," he started as he shrugged, "But I agree with these two, you should really watch your mouth. Especially when it comes to girls." He figured that whoever the kid was he wasn't trying to insult the girl, but he was doing a bad job of acting otherwise. His lip pursed as he shifted uncomfortably, not sure what else to say. The Slytherin boy hoped that he didn't sound asinine or anything. Normally, he wouldn't have commented on such a thing, but it would have been bad if some sort of fight had broken out. He knew very well that he didn't want stray curses flying at his head. He jammed his hands in his pockets, giving those around him a slight smile. Chace had absolutely no idea who any of them were.

Andromeda took a slight step backwards, turning around to face the older boy. Tilting her head to the side she tried to fathom him and came up short. He was as much an enigma to her as she probably was to him and she found she didn't like this at all. Strange that at a time like this, well her entire universe seemed to want to swallow her whole that she become curious about a boy. Boys, she had no time for - she could well do without in her life, except for those who were her friends of course and yet this particular boy had gone out of his way to stand up for her. She was intrigued, higly curious and also a little peeved that any boy would think she needed their help. The confused thoughts and emotions running helter skelter through her were exhausting.

"Thank you for you um.... assistance in this matter" did she sound ridiculously formal? Of course she did and wanted to cringe for doing so, "I'm Andromeda Fiorelli and this is my best friend Zazuka Bones". She would let Brandon speak for himself of course. Turning now to Z, she moved again to the door to leave.
"Nice to know not all guys are jerks" was her parting shot before walking out of the room into the long cold corridor outside. The boy was so goodlooking it almost hurt to look at him, she really was losing the plot. Had she not sworn off the male species entirely? Perhaps her mind had but obviously her heart had other ideas.

The same thought had gone though her head. The other Slytherin boy was really good looking. There was nothing bad about it though. She had her own very good looking boyfriend and wouldn't trade him for the world. "Pleasure to meet you." She said with the brightest smile on her face. Zazuka was starting to feel like they would question why Andy and her where friends. Andy was a bit abrasive to Brandon and this boy too but a little less while Zazuka was being all kinds of sweet. Then agian she would blame her friend for being this way, after what she want though.

Zazuka saw that Andy had turned to leave and turned to go after her. "Sorry we really are very busy." She said so they would not think them rude. "Andy wait up." She said walking a little faster. Even when she didn't mean to Andy could leave her in the dust. This being that Zazuka was a good five inches taller than her. Zazuka promised herself that she would get in better shape. Zazuka was almost painfuly thin but she had little stamina after her first inital burst of speed.
