Turlough didn't mind guard duty. He'd have to catch Tanith eventually, and Tiernan was due to meet him here at any point. For now, though, that left Turlough leaning against the cobblestone wall. Tall, lithe, and absolutely glowering, most kids were giving him a wide berth of ignoring him entirely.

He preferred it that way. He didn't need any friends, he had enough with his brother and the rest of their family. He had his arms crossed and a stormy look in his eyes. Where on earth could his sister be hiding? He sighed. Well, it didn't matter. They'd catch her eventually. He wasn't sure why she was so gloomy. Didn't she know that was his job? He drummed his fingers against his arm. Patience had never been his strong suit. He hoped one of his siblings would arrive soon.

Juniper was having a fairly good day. Things were going good around her for once and she didn't miss
Walking out the common room Juni was meaning to go take a walk in the gardens, something she did everyday. It was he way of winding down after or between classes and if she was being honest sometimes she went on more than just one walk a day, but her mum always said being outdoors was good for you. The Hufflepuff stopped in her tracks when she noticed students walking like they were avoiding the wall and as she looked to what they were avoiding her eyes landed on her very grumpy looking classmate. A shy smile pulled onto her lips as instead of avoiding him she walked next to him, leaning against the wall as well.

"Hi, what are we glaring at today?" She asked him, instantly realizing how rude her words might have sounded. "Not that I am saying that you are glaring or that you usually do that, but you know I meant like what are we looking at...? for....?" She fumbled with her words, desperately trying to recover. She wasn't exactly sure if her and Turlough were exactly friends but he'd walked her back to the common room that one time she'd crashed into him, albeit he'd sort of reprimanded her for being careless as to where she was going. Besides his gloominess kind of made her want to shed some sunlight and butterflies his way too.

Turlough ignored the girl as she approached, remembering her. It was easy when you only spoke to a few people. He ignored her at first, thinking if he didn't talk, she'd just go away. It seemed, however, that she would just keep rambling until he did. Turlough sighed, finally shooting a sharp glance at her. "I'm waiting to catch my older sister. Is that all?" He asked roughly, hoping if he was just blunt that she would take the hint and leave. He turned his gaze away, returning to his previous task of scanning the crowds and the Hufflepuff entrance for Tanith.

Juniper pursed her lips together, trying not to take any offense for the grumbling of the boy. She reminded herself of the chat she'd had with her roommate about her roommates twin, though it'd been entirely different situation with the rose delivery that had happened Juni tried to take solace in the fact that the boy hopefully didn't mean to be rude. If he did then that sucked, but she was determined to not let that affect her. In the end Freddie's diagram even said that friends found you annoying so it wasn't probably a bad thing. So instead of taking the answer Juniper decided to completely avoid the is that all remark and asked another question instead. "Oh, she's in Hufflepuff too, right?" Juniper recalled him saying something like that once. Matter of fact she was pretty sure the girl was a Prefect.

Turlough sighed. She was stubborn, it seemed. Or stupid. Though honestly it could be both. He just rolled his eyes. "Yes, Tanith. Redhead, quiet, super sweet, weirdly pouting about something." He stated like it was obvious. "Fifth year. She's trying to be sneaky but we'll catch her eventually." His eyes scanned the crowds. "If you see her, feel free to shout." He glanced to her then away. "Juniper, right?" He asked, just as rough.

Juniper nodded, suppressing a smile at the way he was looking after his older sister and seemingly accepting his fate of having to talk to her right now. "Okay, I'll keep an eye out." She said, scanning the crowd. Juniper felt his eyes on her a bit before he spoke out her name and she'd be lying if she said she wasn't surprised he remembered it. "Yes, but you can just call me Juni!" She told him, turning to look his way with a bright smile. "Do you do this often, look out for her I mean?" Juni asked curiously, she had younger siblings and usually it was her looking out for them but that was mostly because they were small still.

Turlough was quiet for a few moments, debating on what to tell her. He didn't like sharing personal things. In the end he just sighed. "Tanith just needs extra looking after," He decided on, not wanting to tell her too much more about their personal lives. "She's too soft for her own good." He glanced at Juniper and away again. "A lot like you, I guess," He grumped.

Juniper smiled and nodded, looking back towards the people as well. "It's very nice of you to look after her," she mused. It was nice when people looked after you, Merlin knew she still wished she had siblings at the school to either look after or look after her, either or would suffice. A hint of a blush rose to the second years cheeks as Turlough said how his sister was too soft for her own good and then said a bit like Juni. Juniper had always leaned into her softness, wanting to be kind and open to everything the world had to offer. Some had made her feel like it was a weakness, but really the Hufflepuff saw it as a strength. "It's good to be soft, but it can be exhausting so it's good she's got people looking after her." She said nodding softly.
