Sydney smiled as she made her way down to the field where she was meeting Markov. Sure, they may live in the same house but they didn't see each other much. She was on her way from clothes shopping, as was her usual past time, and wasn't paying attention to where she was going.

Sure, Sydney wasn't the Slytherin b***h she used to be but that didn't mean she wasn't superficial. She still loved her clothing. She loved fashion, though her own tastes changed faster than the seasons did. At the minute she was into the full black look and she found it suited her. Then again, with her blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin, there wasn't much that didn't suit her.

Sydney felt her shoulder collide with someone and she almost dropped one of her many bags. She had chosen to meet up with Markov after the shopping trip for this exact reason. She had many bags and not enough muscles to carry them all. The blonde girl turned to see who she had hit. Unlike her previous self, she was now polite and, Merlin could barely believe it, nice in some situations. "Sorry about that."

Sydney found herself looking at a younger girl. She was blonde, with lovely eyes, and Sydney knew she had seen her before. "What's your name?" She had seen her recently but the older girl couldn't place the face. She was important though and it bugged Sydney. She couldn't remember the girl at all but she knew she was important.

Skyle had been walking, she hadn't done this very often but she felt know it gave her time to think. At the house there was always noise and well something going on. Sky missed it just being quiet and being able to think. That's why she had fallen in love with walking again. It was just her and the tapping of her feet. It gave her the time she needed to think about all the things she needed too.

Skyle hadn't been paying much attention, she had been playing with her skirt. It was from from one of her more gothic moments, but she couldn't see not wearing it there was nothing wrong with it. It brought back memories too, good ones from when they first moved in with Damien. She smiled, it was good to remember the good time, but she couldn't let herself get lost in the past. She had a life now with Teddy, and she had little Kairi to think of.

But it was the feel of a hard shoulder that brought her back to reality. Skyle looked up to see a pretty girl with blue eyes. Skyle had always thought that blondes with blue eyes were pretty, but she would never trade in her grey ones. "I'm sorry, my fault." She hoped she wouldn't be mad so many people theses days would freak out over a little thing like this. The girl asked for her name, and it was the least Sky could do for running in to her, "Skyle."

Sydney almost dropped her bag. That was where she knew her from, of course it was. The entire group had been seeing pictures of her non stop for the past couple of days. This was Teddy's girlfriend! "Oh, wait, you're That Skyle?!" Sydney grinned and grabbed the girl.

Sydney had wanted to meet her since Teddy had started gushing all about her non-stop. She remembered his last girl. Angela, she was a fright. She also brought out the bad in Teddy. Sydney may not have been the best of friends with Teddy then but she was now and she wouldn't let him be hurt. She was taking Skyle to Markov where they would meet her properly and see what she was like.

Skyle was confused. This girl knew her? She didn't recall ever meeting her, and Skyle generally remembered the people she meet. But then she vaguely remembered a picture, it was of Teddy and his friends. 'What were there names?' Then it hit Skyle, "Your Sydney!" How could Sky not have recognized her. She was only one of Teddy's best friends. Sure she had never met her but she felt like that was something she should have remembered. Teddy had been saying for a while he would take her to see his friends but that hadn't happened. But what were the odds she would run into one on the street?

Sydney nodded as she dragged the poor girl through the streets of New Zealand and smiled, it seemed Teddy had been talking about them or, at least, her to Skyle too. She doubted it was as much as he'd been talking about her to them but it made Sydney feel better.

Eventually they reached the field and, sure enough, Markov was there with his usual cigarette in hand. She threw her bags on him when he didn't notice her and laughed as he choked on the smoke he had inhaled. "That's not healthy for you."

Sydney sat down next to the boy, having let go of Skyle now, and pointed to the younger girl. "You'll never guess who this is." She grinned and waited for the typical Markov comment to pass before he actually guessed for reals.

Skyle was kind of worried about where Sydney was taking her. Sure this was Teddy's friend, but she still worried she didn't really know her. But Skyle was nice and came along, not asking where they were going. She tried to keep track of where they were going and she kind of new where they were so that gave her some reassurance.

Eventually they came to a field and there was a boy smoking a cigarette. 'That must be Markov.' Skyle thought to herself. These were Teddy's two closest friends, or at least the only one's he mentioned. As they got closer she was sure she had correctly identified him, she remembered what he looked like from the picture she had seen. Skyle let Sydney talk, this was kind of awkward for her, without Teddy here to help she had no idea what to say or what not to do.

Markov was amusing himself by blowing smoke rings when he heard the voice of his lovely female friend, Sydney Caine. He rolled his eyes and leant up on his elbows to see she had company. A younger blonde girl in little pink kitten heels. He smirked at her as he shrugged of Sydney's comment and shopping bags on his chest.

"Hmm, I'd say you bought me a present but she's too young and you're not that nice to me." Markov grinned up at the older blonde before returning his gaze to the younger one. "Not that I wouldn't have her anyway." He winked at her before pushing the bags off him and leant back on the ground, resuming his smoking. "Who is the bird then?"

Skyle was getting the gist of the kinda guy this was, and she wasn't impressed. He had the women are inferior and meant to be used kind of attitude. Normally she would have avoided this kind of person, but this was Teddy's friend and she had to give him a chance.

Skyle broke her silence. "I'm not sure Teddy would like that, I'm Skyle." She didn't hold out her had she wasn't going to be that formal. Instead she looked over the two. She wasn't sure how there bunch had been formed, and she new she would have to ask Teddy sometime, but they were an odd bunch at that. She tried not to judge thinking of herself and her cousins, they were about as odd as they came, and she wouldn't want anyone to judge her that way.

Markov dropped his cigarette in surprise and looked up at the girl again. "You're Skyle? Wait. Teddy managed to bag a girl like you?" The older boy looked her up and down once more. "Seems I taught him well." He winked and her and went to find his cigarette.

It had gone out so Markov lit up a new one and continued his smoking. "So tell us then, little miss sky, what are your intentions with our Teddy boy?" He grinned as he said it, sure she knew he was messing with her. Markov reached up to Sydney and pulled her down next to him, so her head was leaning on his chest and she was lying parallel to him.

Skyle smiled at his surprise, she didn't see how hard it was to believe Teddy could have a pretty girlfriend. Not that Skyle thought herself overly pretty but everyone told her she was. Teddy was a nice guy and she was lucky to be with him in her mind, not the other way around. If these two new anything about her past of baggage they would realize how backwards they had it.

Sky ignored the older boy as he lit up another cigarette, she didn't like them because they reminded her of her father. He had smoked almost his whole life, but it hadn't bothered her until he went crazy and she just wanted to forget she had a father. Then He asked her intentions she knew he was just giving her a hard time but it made her think. She loved Teddy but they were just kind of taking things one day at a time. He was helping her get on with her life, and she knew he was glad to have her around again. She contemplated answering the question when he pulled Sydney down next to him, "Intentions, now why would I tell you? That could ruin everything." She smiled, she didn't know what else to do but joke back.
