Connor Barnard was a girl unlike most her age. Since birth or at least childhood she has had issues with her eyes prohibiting her from seeing colors as any normal being would. In fact all colors, except red, are perceived by her eyes as something different then what they really are. Her identical twin sister, does not have this issue, and unlike her sister is a complete girly-girl, Connor being the tom-boy of the two taking after her naming. Eliska, her sister, is someone the Connor has always been jealous of, yet she still loves her either way. She sits and listens to the stories of any boyfriend Eliska has had since the last time they've talked, and also to all the gossip that circles her sister. Connor never has dealt with either of these issues being more ready to race a boy from one end of the Pitch to the other then go on date. But her mind is slowly changing and she does try to dress up, especially when going to see her sister. Connor isn't one who purposely wants to look like a fool to her sister's friends.

Hence why she's found herself standing in France, one of the two countries she calls home, waiting for her sister to show up but knowing she arrived early, in fact very early for their meeting. Wearing a simple Spring dress Connor moved from the airport into the local Wizard village not far from Beauxbatons and into a small coffe shop. Inside she made herseld comfortable and ordered a drink a butterbeer and a small scone to hold herself over till her sister came for a late lunch. Leaning back in her chair as she took a sip of her drink a person caught her eye. It was a male, roughly around her age, yet he didn't hold himself the way most French males tended to, he seemed much more like the boys she's incountered at Durmstrang. Being in a Wizard town she had the suspisicion that he did go to the school, or at least has gone there before. Yet Connor didn't hold her sister's talent in attracting males and didn't have the nerve to get his attention inside she ignored the thought of talking to him and began to read a French magazine that had been left on her table instead.

(OOC: Thanks so much for starting this :) )

For Jack, the escape from school was bliss. Everytime he could leave the gates, spin and appear somewhere else was like taking a breath of fresh air from an open window whilst in a room with heavy smokers. It was relief, and the best part, was that with all the younger students restricted to the area around the school, him and other students could apparate away and appear somewhere else, happy to be someone else for the time it lasted. So, smiling to himself as he entered a french cafe, he found himself wondering why he did this. It had seemed that in all his holidays recently, he hadn't used the world for a place to go, but French cafes had done good enough for him. Confused at the logic behind this, he stood in a small queue as he waited to order a drink. Smiling at his cleverness of finally landing himself in a magical cafe, he ordered a firewhiskey and found a small table near the corner of the room to drink it in peace. To be perfectly honest, Jack was lonely. He was unsure of where his relationship with Gwen was going, and seeing as she was always so busy, he found himself doing his own thing. His mates found speed-dating random girls interesting, and having grown up from this, he found himself alone in the world. Musing on this thought, he swirled the drink in his glass and looked over the rim, trying to see how the expression worked. However, the one thing that took up his view, whilst the rest of the world moved on, was a girl, who seemed about his age, sitting and drinking what looked like a butterbeer. She was watching him, but when she looked away though, he found himself continuing to look at her.

Finding something uniquely different about her very being, he quickly did the maths that she must be either from Beauxbatons or Durmstrang, else she had travelled a very long way. Realising that she couldn't be completely harmful as a friend, he ran a hand through his dark hair and stood up, taking his drink with him. Wandering over, he watched as his recently vacated table was occupied by a grateful family of 3. Smiling and waving the comment away, he headed towards the girl a little closer. He didn't want to impose upon her, but he wanted to find some company, so hovering a little closer opposite her, he indicated to the spare chair. "Hey. Do you mind if i join you?" He asked, waving his hand in the direction of the table he had left to show it was now full. It was a bold move, he knew that, but he took chances and he only wanted to chat, so where was the harm in that.

OOCOut of Character:
sorry wrong person this is hard to do on an iTouch!!!!!
Connor sighed as her drink continued to dwindle and yet no sign of her sister caused the young woman irritation to build inside of her. Her eyes traveled around the cafe and she noticed the young man, who was quite handsome getting up. That was saddening to her as she had been hoping to vain courage and speak to him. Looking out the window that she was near she waited to see if the young man would walk by her window and she could get one last look to think about while she waited for her sister.

Suddenly however she found herself looking up at the guy as he stood near her small table asking to join her. "Oh, well my sister is suppouse to join
me here. But she could always pull up a chair,"
Connor told the guy as she glanced to see if her sister had made it or not, though it appeared her sister must be out shopping as she still hadn't made. She smiled up at the young man and silently wondered what color he'd call the clothes he was wearing to her it was different then to him, most likely at least she hadn't met another person with her condition or a similar one.

(OOC: Naaa, don't worry ^_^ )

Jack smiled a small, irresistible smile as he sat down at the offered seat. He looked around, realising that she was probably waiting for his sister, and once she arrived, he would probably leave, not wanting to intrude on a family affair. Nodding his head in a greeting, he took a swig of his firewhiskey, relaxing into the feeling of it burning down his throat as he swallowed. Smiling at the girl now, he put his drink down. "Im Jack." He introduced, still trying to determine whether or not this girl went to his school or Beauxbatons, or whether she even went to a school. Wondering what was going through her mind as he spoke to her, he took another small sip of his drink and looked around, searching for a small snippet of conversation that could get them to start talking. "Do you go to school around here?" He asked bluntly, giving up any idea of sugar-coating the words so they sounded polite. His tone was polite, yes, but the essence of the question was harsh and he winced as the words came out, trying to concentrate on finding a way that it could actually sound decent. Looking around the small wizarding cafe, he watched the comings and goings of the visitors as he waited for a reply.

Connor watched as the guy took a big gulp of his firewhiskey. It surprised her to see someone drinking in the afternoon but it seed reasonable that plenty of people did. "Connor," she answered back quietly. The young was hoping he wouldn't pick on her for having a boys name for her own. Though plenty of people did which was why the girl didn't have many friends. Jack seemed to be a very nice looking young man and Connor wondered if he had a girlfriend that e was waiting here for. "No my sister does but I go to school back home in Bulgaria," she told Jack even though her english had more of a French background to it. He wouldn't know that her family had spilt the time here and there during her childhood. Figuring by his question that he didn't go to school with hey sister Connor wonder if he was one who went to the newest Hogwarts in New Zealand, considering she hadn't seen him around Durmstrang before. Although she sort of did wish he went to her school it's be nice to have another friend there.

(OOC: Wow, im so sorry again  I kind of forgot about this :( )

Jack smiled at the girl. She seemed quiet suddenly, and he panicked that he had scared her off. "Its nice to meet you Connor." He smiled back, running his hand through his hair again. It needed a cut, but the thought of going to his mum and getting her to do it, brought shivers to his spine. Letting his mum cut his hair was a only-do-it-once thing that he had learnt rather quickly. Hoping that somewhere around he could find a new place to get it done, where they wouldn't nearly shave him bald, he smirked at the thought and turned his attention back to Connor in front of him. The name was nice, different yes, but nice. Almost like a tomboy. Wondering whether it was short for something, or a nick-name from someone, he decided to keep his thoughts to himself, in fear of upsetting her. "Oh right, the sister you are waiting for then? You must go to Durmstrang then." He concluded, nodding as it all fell into place. "And therefore be in your 6th or 7th year. But im not sure, because im sure i would have seen you around before." He pondered aloud, wondering why he hadn't met her before. He thought he had known a lot of people in his year and the 2 below him, but it seemed that he had been wrong about this and was only just learning this in his final year. "Sorry, im being rude and random. I go to Durmstrang as well. Im in my 7th year." He introduced, finding his thoughts scattered currently and unable to connect a sentence together without missing out vital things.

Connor smiled back at the guy, she was used to being around boys more then girls which didn't make her feel ill at ease with Jack but she was upset her sister was running so late. "Nice to meet you as well," she answered back to him. He looked familar to her but she wasn't sure where she had seen him before. She nodded to his question and statement, "Yes and she goes to Beauxbatons." Connor let her eyes wonder around the little shop to see if her sister had arrived but didn't see her anywhere. "Oh yes I'm a 6th year," she told him curious on how he was getting all this information about her yet she hadn't heard anything much about him. She didn't want to admit she spent most of her time in her room but that was the truth. She had a condition with her eyes that kept her being able to do alot of things so instead of being made fun of she managed to stay to herself and in her dorm while at school and her home life was mostly the same. "Ah so you're in your last year? Must be exciting," she said to him with a teasing smile.
