Mikael Nightray was lost in thought as he made his way across the Great Lawn one pleasant afternoon. His thoughts however were on the fact that he was not terribly sure of the goals that he had for his stay in Hogwarts New Zealand. He hadn't really planned past the fact that he was there to sort of keep an eye on his cousin. Past settling the mind of his worrywart mother - not that he'd ever call her that out loud - and maybe his cousins, he hadn't really thought much of what to do here in school. Aside from the obvious of course. Did he want to do well? Did he prefer to be mediocre? Perhaps be on the lower tier of his class like cousin Corey? Well, all those were really a thought for another time as he finally found a spot that he was willing to settle down to work on his rather boring homework. Out of pure habit borne from countless pranks that had occurred in the manor, the young Slytherin found himself looking up to check if there were any traps or people hiding in the branches of the tree. He wasn't nearly as surprised as he probably should have been that there was. He couldn't really decide either whether he was curious or incredulous of his find. Bit of both really. "What are you doing up there?"
