Closed Unfamiliar Territory

Hēmi felt a little out of place. Everything - well, almost everything - about Hogwarts felt different. He was used to the whole magic side of things, but the size of the place, the architecture, the amount of people was all new to him. He wanted to relax a bit, get out of the way, so he'd taken a stroll through the grounds. Coming across the lake, Hēmi had paused to take it in. He wasn't that into lakes. Lakes were foreign too. If only Hogwarts was beside a beach, then maybe Hēmi would feel more at home. He took a seat on the ground anyway, looking out at the placid water. It was almost reassuring. He grabbed a rock, fiddling with it idly.

Rhys Chamberlin truly loved magic and the school. He had some experience in the muggle and magical world, since his father dabbled in both, as did Beau, his older brother. He wanted to explore everything that Hogwarts New Zealand had to offer. It had a castle with mysterious corridors, endless secrets, and even secret passages. The outside was a little less mysterious, unless one counted the Forbidden Forest. He walked along the grounds and ended up near the lakefront. He looked over the water and smiled at the reflection of the sky. As he walked, he saw a first year, like him, fiddling with a rock. "Hey, is everything going okay?"
