Merrie had decided to be a zombie for halloween fairly last minute. She just hadn't known what else she could be and this had seemed - at the time - to be the perfect choice for her. Merrie had taken the time to do her make up and dirty her clothes, adding blood and whatever else to make this costume work. She wasn't sure how successful she'd been since when she looked in a mirror it really just seemed like she was dirty and tired. She let herself forget that and just headed to the great hall, and stood awkwardly near the entrance of the hall, just looking at everyone else and feeling like she had not put in the right amount of effort.
