Two Months from Now? (Zazuka)

Brian waited a bit impatiently, lately things were going more perfect then he could've imagine. He'd spent alot of time with Zazuka and hadn't been getting into any fights not to mention they were just a month away from unleashing the ultimate vengence against Drage. Operation Respect would be a go and Drage would suffer for what she said. Brian would have Zazuka's help but that meant that they would need to talk about the plan which was difficult since he didn't want anyone to overhear. Brian would also have to hope that Fiorelli didn't Nark on them to the Prefects, hopefully since Zazuka was part of the plan she would keep her mouth shut even if she wasn't very good at that. Brian had kept true to his word during the last few weeks by ignoring Fiorelli and anything she had to say. He assumed Zazuka talked to her which was fine in Brian's opinion.

Brian had something very important in his hands, he didn't want to tell Zazuka in case things didn't go well but everything had seemed to work out since Brian had explained everything to his parents. Brian's parents had offered to take him on vacation this year and had meant it, they never went on vacation because the timing was never right. Normally his parents would take some time off in September or October when Brian was at school but this year was different, after winning an important case for some French Business owner they had been offered a trip to paris in his five bedroom baudeaux somewhere on the outskirts near a lake. Brian had been excited that his parents excepted but even more by there reply when he asked if Zazuka could come with them, he had made sure to explain that she came from muggle parents and wouldn't make a scene. They had said yes, now all Brian had to do was ask Zazuka...He sent Athena to Zazuka with a letter asking her to meet him at the Owlery.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka was sitting in the middle of the gardens studying what she was sure she was going to need. She had thought that with all that was happening she wouldn't freak out over exams. She thought wrong. The old glimmer of fear was back. It was better though because of Brian. He was much more wonderful than her she could have ever imagined. A note was dropped onto overly colorful lap. With summer coming it was getting a lot warmer which meant she was going into lighter clothes when she wasn't in uniform.

Zazuka read the note quickly then smiled. "Wonder what he wants?" She thought out loud. She packed up her books then followed Athena who seemed to want her to want her to hurry up. Her gladiator type sandals taped softly as she made her way up to the owlry. Several flights of stares and passage ways later Zazuka was running towards Brian and enveloping him in a warm hug. She winced softly because her book bag hit her on the bare side. "So what's all this about?" She asked cheerly. Zazuka may have been a bit frazzled because of the work load she was under but that was never enough to make her lose her cheer.

Brian embraced Zazuka enjoying being in her company as he always was these days, Brian was sure Zazuka would be excited to come with him but wasn't sure if she had already made plans or not. Brian figured that in the end he would just have to plunge forward and ask her, the worst that could happen is that she already had plans and couldn't come. "Well the first week in July, my parents and I are going to France, near Paris" Brian explained as he thought about long walks down the rue with Zazuka enjoying the summer sunset without any interruptions. "It's going to be fun they have a friend who told them to stay at his place and everything, we're going to be there for about three weeks and we're going to all types of places" Brian said knowing that his mind was starting to get the best of him.

"Anyways! I asked my parents and they said as long as it was alright with your parents that you could come with us, they don't really know your situation" Brian said knowing that keeping somethings from his parents would always be for the best, some things they just weren't equipped to deal with and somethings they were. Things involving the magical community they tended to want to avoid. "It's in the first week of July, did I mention that?" Brian said wondering intently what Zazuka's reply might be. Most girls dreamed of going to France so Brian did hope that she would say yes, it would be nice to spend the summer with her without having to fight for time between study and classes which seemed to be taking up all there time lately.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka put her hands over her mouth when Brian asked. France, her, really? She had never been anywhere outside New Zealand before. She had never really told anyone about her dream of travling the world because of it. "Of course. I would love to come with you." She said exsitedly. Paris, France! The place seemed like such a romantic spot and it would be one place she could check off her list of places to visit in her life time. Brian said that his parants said it was ok as long as it was ok with her parents and her smile waivered a bit.

"I will have to tell the Paramores that's for sure but you and I both know that my parents don't give a fling Fizzbee what I do." She said with a note of sadness in her voice. Four years. Four years and not a word from her mother or father. Of course it was to be expected after the way he nearly killed her before she got her Hogwarts letter but she would have thought that her mother, who put herself at risk for her from time to time would have tryed to find a way to find out if she was alright. Most of the time Zazuka tryed not to think about the family that abandoned her because if she did she felt a sort of large hole start to hurt where they where sopposed to be.

Brian smiled brightly being with Zazuka always seemed to cheer him up and now that they would be spending the summer together in France everything would be wonderfull. Brian began to think of ways to be alone with Zazuka without his parents butting in, he had told them she was a school friend but hadn't told them she was his girlfriend because that would make things alot worse. Brian was glad that Zazuka would come with him since it would be a fun experience for the two of them to see all of France and break a few rules. Brian was also a bit relieved to get away from all of the magic that always seemed to be in his life, he would need to find someone to take care of Athena since she wouldn't be able to come. Perhaps she could stay here, Brian was sure the school wouldn't mind if an extra owl stayed on the grounds for a few weeks.

"Great, If you could... I mean my parents are lawyers and tend to keep there thoughts away from the magical community" Brian said feeling slightly nervous about this part "do you think while we're with them we can play down the whole magic thing?" Brian asked politely, his parents wouldn't be mad that they were talking about the magical community they just wouldn't understand and that of course would bring up tons of odd questions that Brian would much rather not answer, because once those questions were answered they would only ask more untill nothing but bad things would come. "How are you doing? I mean not hearing from your parents can be tough" Brian said as he looked at her, they had that in common among many things. Brian's parents still loved him they were just not good at showing it, Zazuka's parents however just seem to hate her.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka was thinking of france too. She was sure that Kailey could take care of Jinx, Hix, and Junie while she was gone and she could leave all her school things there. She would miss the magic of course. SHe had grown used to making potions while not in school though at thier age they couldn't use magic outside of school. Zazuka soppoed that she could grow used to being in a compleatly muggle enviornment. It was not like she needed magic for everything. The only problem was Mr. Paramore. The moment she walked into the house Mrs. Paramore made her feel like she was in a safe place but Mr. Paramore had liked to pretend she wasn't even there. That had changed over time and she started to get the feeling that under that gruff extirior lay some consern over her well fare.

That was more than she could say her her true father. "I'm fine most of the time. I try not to think about it. I can't help but think that I did something wrong to make them not like me. I mean your parents still love you even if I'm sure they don't approve of your magic. The Paramores are a perfictly happy family magic or no magic. I can't go back to my parents ever." She said looking down. She was still disowed and after three years it didn't look like things where ever going to change.

Brian smiled as he got close to her "you didn't do anything wrong, the're just gits that don't understand what a wonderful person they never even got to know" Brian said as he wrapped his arms around her. "Who cares about them, if they don't want to be a part of you life then maybe it's a good things" Brian said as he smiled at her. Brian wasn't sure if he'd brought up a painfull subject or not but decided that perhaps it would be best to change it anyhow. "France is going to be great, I promise you" Brian said with a smile "you won't forget it anytime soon" he said as he leaned forward and kissed her. "So what do you want to do today?" Brian asked as he stared at her with a smile, the days had been busy as the school year was begining to close.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka smiled brightly. She couldn't help it when Brian was doing the same. He was right. Though she couldn't help but feel hurt by the fact that her parents didn't want anything to do with her she couldn't let it bring her down. Zazuka kissed him back while wrapping her arms around his neck. Zazuka looked down at the book bag next to her. "It's toss up between studying and making out in the Owlry." She said jokenly. "I can't wait. I've dieing to see France and it will be a nice change from New Zealand." She said brightly. She really couldn't wait to go. There where so many places to see that Zazuka didn't know if she had enough lifetime to see it all. She would try though.
