Transfiguration 2:5

Lesson Five: Learning Torte (teapot into a turtle)
Leif was just putting away some of the paperwork from his other class when his second years slowly started to find their way into his classroom. "Good morning!" He greeted them brightly. He had promised them last week that the upcoming lessons would be more exciting. A promise he meant to keep. Also one he was sure the kids remembered. "Wands out! Just leave it be untill I say so, thank you." He told them, keeping an eye out for anyone picking up their wand when they weren't supposed to yet. "Today I would like you to try out inanimate to animate transfiguration for yourselves." Leif grinned, waving his own wand towards his desk to make a set of teapots of varying shapes, colours and seizes appear.

"That was a conjuring spell, by the way, but you won't learn it until at least sixth year. Sorry." He explained, picking up a teapot and holding it above his head. "You will each turn one of these decorative teapots into a tortoise. I want you all to be very careful when performing this spell. I will be taking points off of your grade if the tortoise breathes steam or has ceramic tiles on its shell. Patterns are fine, but I don't want to see actual porcelain left over. We're focusing on a complete transformation."

Leif placed a teapot, one with a bright orange, funky pattern, onto the surface of his desk. "Torte!" He spoke the incantation clearly so his students could hear. With a poof, the teapot changed into a large tortoise, now brown and green in colour. "The incantation, as you just heard, is Torte. Please repeat after me." He had his students repeat the incantation once before nodding his head in approval. "Come one by one and take a teapot. It's about time you gave it a try!" Once everyone had got a teapot, he added, "When class ends, please bring your tortoise up to the front of the classroom for grading. Have fun, but remember to focus."

Roleplay attempting to turn your teapot into a turtle. A succesfull transformation will earn full marks.
