Angela jumped and screeched lightly, seeing her own shadow in what little light illuminated the dark corridor. She wasn't sure where she was, or how she got there, but she was sure she wasn't anywhere near the Ravenclaw common room. She leaned up against the wall, seeing some kids that looked threatening pass. What was she going to do. She wasn't about to ask either of them for directions. She frowned and slid down the wall she had been leaning up against. "Toto, where are my red slippers." She said, wishing for a weaker, or familiar face.

Matteo was skipping, yes, skipping down the hall after leaving the Slytherin Common Room. Where he was going, he had no clue, but he wanted out for now. Some upper classmen gave him glares and funny looks, so he frowned back, but he did stop skipping. He slowed to a confident walk, looking around him. What a place to put a common room! It was a bit creepy, but Matteo was used to it by now. It was actually pretty cool now that he thought of it. He grinned to himself. When he got back to NYC, he'd tell his friends about adventures in the dungeons. That put him in a good mood, and he did a backflip for the heck of it. When he looked up, he saw a girl hugging a wall. Well, not hugging it, but she looked as if she wanted nothing more than to be out of here. Seeing as nobody else seemed to care or even notice her, he strode over.

"Hey, need help or something? You look sorta...lost." He grinned at her, holding out a hand to help. "I'm Matteo Lim."

Angela was whispering to herself "there's no place like home", after all, it seemed worth a shot. She jumped a bit when a male voice rang into her ears. She looked up at the boy, who looked to be Korean, or Japanese, it was too dark to tell. She tried to manage a weak smile, since the boy had offered her help. "Uh... I'm A-Angela." She said with a slight stutter, her pixie-like voice a bit too quite for her liking. She was glad someone had came to help.

"actually, i-I'm lost." She said a bit ashamed. She bet that other Ravenclaw's would laugh to see the stupid look on her face. She was very glad their weren't any around.

Matteo raised his eyebrows. This girl, Angela, looked and sounded quite traumatized. Maybe it was the dungeons. His first time down here was definitely not his greatest experience either. He could also tell, right away, that the girl wasn’t a Slytherin. He’d already gotten used to the idea that most Slytherins seemed sneaky and mean-ish-looking. “Nice to meet you Angela, although this ain’t really the best place to be greeting someone.” He laughed his tinkling laugh. He pulled her to her feet and noticed the blue on her uniform. He wracked his brains, trying to think of which house was blue…Ravenpaw. Wait, no, that was Ravenclaw. That was it. “Aren’t you a bit far from the Ravenclaw common room?” A few kids passing them turned to look at him strangely, but he ignored their eyes.

Angela laughed lightly at his comment. At least he was nicer then the other Slytherin she had met; that made her happy. "Agreed. But, do you know the way out?" She asked, her cheeks an obvious pink color, which looked worse against her ivory skin-tone. "Y-yeah, i am." She said to answer his question. He obviously did know where they were.

"Are you a Slytherin?" She asked curiously.

Matteo nodded. "Yeah, I'm in Slytherin." A lot of kids from other houses seemed to be hating him at first glance, especially those red kids. Gryffindors. Yeah, especially them. "Is that like, a bad thing?" He pointed down the hall, the way that he was headed. "I know the way out, yeah. Thataway, but I dunno how to get to your common room. I really know nothing about this school or magic in general. But I'll bring you out if you'd like?" He gave her his flashy grin.

She shrugged as he asked if being Slytherin was a bad thing. "It's rumored that that's where all the bad wizards are from. But don't take it personally." She said with a slight grin. She had met a good Slytherin, and a bad Slytherin. She followed after him. "Awesome. I thought I'd die here." She said in literal meaning. She had already had a heart attack from the people who came around here, she would die if a rat or spider showed up. When he smiled she smiled right back.

Matteo frowned. "I hope I don't end up too badly. Or dead or something. I suppose I may be able to be one of the good ones." He turned away when she smiled. He liked her smile, but he was afraid she might see him blush or something. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his robes. "These robes are sorta annoying. I think they're out to get me 'cause I'm always tripping over 'em. Do we gotta wear them all the time?" He wasn't used to wearing such dress-like things, and he missed his jeans and comfy t-shirts rather badly. Honestly, how the heck was he supposed to breakdance in robes?

She smiled when she saw him turn away quickly. But frowned afterward. Did she have something in her teeth? She picked a bit at her front teeth, and kept walking. She giggled, a silvery sound, like the bit of light in the dark tunnel. She had yet to trip over her robes, in fact, she wasn't wearing them now, just her other things. "NO, only to classes and special things i think." She said catching up with him.

Matteo laughed. "Aww man, and here I am, stupidly wearing my robes." He shook his head. He made a mental note to change back into his casual clothes after he escorted Angela to wherever she was going. He would turn and go back now, but that would be rude, and he didn't want to make such a bad impression on her about him. A door came into view at the right end of the hallway, and he pointed toward it. "That's the exit to go upstairs. How'd you end up down here anyway? Ain't an easy thing to do as far as I see."

She smiled and giggled more, her hand covering her mouth to silence it a bit. He was an extremely amusing person. "Well i was walking, then i tripped, and got turned around i think. And went down here, and when i tried to get out i couldn't." She said, all in one breath. She had a habit of talking fast like that, though she had been trying to break it.

Matteo had to lean in to figure out what Angela was saying, and it took him a few seconds to actually decipher it. He laughed. "You remind me so much of one of my friends back home. She talks like crazy mad fast, and we all have to ask her to repeat it at least another time to figure it out." He thought back a day ago when he was trying to get down and out of the castle for some dance practice. "Yeah, the stairs are pretty annoying. But luckily, Slytherin's down here so it's not as much as a problem getting down. I talked to this other guy who took three hours getting up to Ravenclaw's common room once. It's pretty insane."

She watched as he seemed to think about what she had just said. When he finally got it and started talking she nodded. "Yeah, really, sounds like my type of girl!" She punched the air a bit. She tended to do that when she was in a good mood. "Yeah i guess, i hate getting up their, to many stairs." In truth, the stair were not bothering her as much as before. She grinned, thinking of what to ask next. "So, do you like music?" She felt stupid for asking, so a bit flustered, corrected herself. "I mean, of course you do right, wh-who doesn't. I meant, what type." She could feel her cheeks heat up a bit. For being so good with wits, she could act so stupid sometimes.

Matteo grinned. Other than his friend back home, he’d never met anyone this bubbly and happy before. He laughed when she punched the air. “Yeah, I love music! Hmm…it’s hard to pick…there’s so many artists I like.” He scratched his chin. “Let’s see…Coldplay, The Killers, Ludacris, Linkin Park of course. And almost any rap song. And anything with a good beat, cause you see, I like breakdancing, and any song I can dance to is pretty awesome in my opinion.” He debated on whether to tell Angela anymore, and then decided to, since it wasn’t like his friends back home would ever find out anyways. “And uh, I haven’t told anyone else this, especially not the guys in New York cause they would probably start teasing me about it, but I recently started listening to Korean music.” He paused, and then added quickly and defensively, “It’s actually really good! They’re talented. And, I am Korean, so it’s natural for me.”

Angela smiled and listened to the types of music that he liked. She liked a lot of the stuff, and could play a few of the songs from Coldplay on acoustic. She laughed slightly. "Break dancing is not dancing." She said with a matter-of-fact tone. She hated Rap, but decided just to tease him. She smiled at him and nodded, putting her hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, i like Korean music to. I'm half Korean." She grinned.

“Well, it is in my world,” Matteo retorted. “It sorta is, y’know. It’s a certain type of dance. Ah whatever, I just love doing it.” He briefly glanced downward at her hand on his shoulder, feeling just slightly uncomfortable, but in a pleasant way at physical contact. He managed to grin back. “Oh that’s good…you’re probably the first person I know to like it. Other than my little bro, but he doesn’t really count. What’s your other half?”

She rolled her eyes. "Okay you say potato i say potato." She removed her hand from his shoulder and looked around as he mentioned he had a little brother. "Really, a little sibling. What's that like?" Angela asked in curiosity. She had always been the youngest. "Well I'm half American, with Japanese thrown somewhere in the mix." She said with a bit of a smile. She was proud of her heritage.

“Whoa sick! American and Japanese?” Matteo exclaimed. “In my opinion, mixes are always really good-lookin’. Little brothers…well.” He laughed. “I guess I got lucky, ‘cause mine really looks up to me, up to the point where he’s annoying though. But a lot of my friends that got younger brothers or sisters, they would probably like to sell them at the first chance they get. I mean, they’re kidding…probably,” he added with a grin. “I’d be real sad if something happened to my brother. You have siblings?”

She blushed when he said mixes were usually good looking. Did that mean she was? She had always thought of herself as homely. She smiled at him and said. "That's so cool. I only have two older siblings. And they are mean. Well... technically i only have one." She said to him. She had almost forgot that her brother was dead. She looked at the ground at that thought.

Matteo raised an eyebrow. "Why technically? What's so technical about it?" He silently hoped that he wasn't getting onto a touchy subject. Because he'd had bad experiences with girls and touchy subjects, which usually resulted in him getting slapped or the girl crying. "I've actually always wanted an older brother. That would be so cool. Except he'd probably see me as I see my brother." He shook his head at the thought.

She looked at him and said. "My brother died when i was little." She didn't show emotion while saying it. When she talked about it, she didn't even feel sadness, then again she didn't feel happiness. "I didn't like my brother though." Seh said after he said he's wanted an older brother.

Matteo faltered in his step. "Oh." He said simply. He was always good with talking, but only when conversation was relaxed, or at least even angry. Normal conversations and arguments he could do, but consolation? Not really. "Um...so were you sad when he died?" He turned his face away and gave himself a facepalm. What a stupid response, he scolded himself.

Angela managed a weak smile, but shook her head. "N-no.." She let her sentence trail off, leaving more to be desired then what she gave. She really hadn't been sad at all. She kept her eyes towards the ground, watching as she walked, wondering if there were any rats down here.

"Ah." Matteo, although known for his bluntness that sometimes turned into rudeness, didn't question any more. He didn't want to appear as nosy or prying to her. "So uh, whaddaya think about school so far? I personally find it alright, but I been taking more notes than I've wanted in lots of my classes. Although I think Transfiguration's pretty darn cool."

She nodded and commented. "It's alright, but we haven't been here long so..." She really couldn't pass judgement on the school until after something really good, or really bad happened. She didn't even comment about classes, she disliked them so much already. Except for the one with the girl teacher. Astronomy was it? "I guess..." She said to his comment about transfiguration. She shivered. The dungeons were cold.
