Ultimately, Perseas Stratis had managed to come out on top of his OWLs and finally made it to his sixth year. He was longing for the moment he would absolve himself from revision and the pressure of exams. All that time he was trying to concentrate and study, a plethora of activities, both aimless and substantial, were crossing constantly his mind in an attempt to tempt him. He kept reminding himself of the time he was going to have after his exams and how nice it would feel to engage in all these activities while knowing he had passed his exams with flying colors. However, this wasn't case. After the end of the examination period, he found himself with so much spare time but he didn't seem to recall all those things he wanted to do before. His holidays were good. He spent time with his family and traveled back with them to their home country. He had the chance to attend some local, wizarding festivals and watch the dueling tournaments. Then he returned to Hogwarts and nothing seemed to excite him anymore. He wanted to feel productive and work. A pretty mature thought for someone who was hardly considerate anything seriously. In addition, the dueling club didn't seem to be operating for a second consecutive year and with only two classes for the semester, he had so much free time in his hands that he didn't know what to do with it.

Fridays were completely free and after breakfast, Perseas followed the path to the lake with his pack on his shoulder. If he was going to spend his whole day doing nothing then that would be better done under the sun. The breeze on his face was cool but the warm caress of the sun sent a pleasant shudder through his body. He walked down the jetty as if it was a personal catwalk while keeping his eyes serenely on the horizon. Under the gentle sun, the lake is an unbroken calm, speckled by a million fragments of light. He reached the end of it and he sat down on the rough wood to lean his back on the lone post at the edge. He took out of his pack a book on the greatest mysteries of the magical world. There were things like love and luck heavily analyzed in these pages. Topics he was going to get more familiar once he was going to become an Unspeakable. He bent his knees to support the book and dangled a free hand into the soothing, cool water.
