Old School Week Too much change

It was here. Right here. She could have sworn it. Heggie was long gone. Maybe there would be another. Or not. Anything to help would have been welcoming. Something the same. Why did it all have to change? Leda walked through the forest, as the sun began to set. No she would to find it. Or something else. Anything else. No one would find her here. At least she hoped not. She didn't need detention right now.

Mervyn was against entering the forbidden forest without reason, but today he had a very good reason. Leda was in there. He'd been following her for some time, trying to figure out what she was doing when they weren't hanging out together. Maybe it was spying. He preferred to think he was looking out for her. She'd been acting strangely, lately, and Mervyn wanted to know why. "Leeds!" he called, when he finally lost the nerve to go any deeper into the forest. "'Choo doin'? Come back 'ere."

Leeds? Leeds was in Scotland. No. England. She knew that. Wait no that was her name. Eyes like a deer in the headlights shot up. It was that kid. That one she trusted. That one that seemed to trust her too. God knows why. She loved him though. Not in that way. Maybe he wanted Heggie too. "He was here right?". He had to be. Her eyes returned to the floor. Forever scanning for the prickly b******.

Mervyn held his arms up. "'Oo you talkin' about? 'Oo was here?" Whoever it was, Mervyn highly doubted she was going to find him in the undergrowth where she was looking.

"That one from before." Wasn't it obvious? Surely that's why he'd come. They only been at school a few days this semester. He couldn't have gone far. "Mr. Prickles." Her voice raising and lowering in tone.
