Closed Tonight

[Ren Lockwood]

((set during the Valentines Dance))

Ren was eager for tonight, waiting outside the Hufflepuff common room for Sam. He had already seen Lily, grinning at her but leaving her and her... tall, gangly looking date alone for the time being. He would need to question her about the goofy looking kid she was with later. But not tonight. He had plans of his own. He straightened his jacket, running his hand through his hair again. His heart throbbed painfully in his chest. Maybe he would ask Sam out tonight. Should he? No, she wouldn't say yes. Would she? He'd have to test the waters first. He tapped his foot, nerves driving him crazy while he waited.

Samantha was a little nervous tonight, she didn't know why she was though, she already went to a dance with Ren before, and hung out with Ren a few times. Samantha stood infront of the mirror that was placed in her dorm room, to make sure she looked fine one last time, before heading towards the main door of the common room to meet up with Ren. Once Samantha walked through the main door and into the corridor and saw Ren and blushed a little. "Hey" Samantha said with a small smile.

Ren smiled brightly as Sam came into the hall. "Hey," He greeted softly, stepping forward and offering her the rose. "You look beautiful," He told her, brushing her hair behind her ear. He offered her his arm. "Thank you again for agreeing to come with me," He smiled shyly. "Shall we go?"
