Madeline began walking around Obsidian Harbor tired and ready to do something more fun. It was great having a bunch of new stuff for school but it really was a drag when you couldn't use any of it. Madeline wished some of her friends were around, especially her friends from London. She'd met some people while living in New Zealand but over all she felt bored. At least back home she could fly on her broomstick and play some Quidditch with her grandfather's pumpkin patch. Here however she was left to find her own means of entertainment and in Madeline's case that usually lead to her getting into trouble. Madeline wasn't too worried about it though as she began looking for something that would occupy her time for even a second. She had her wand in her pocket and even though she wasn't suppose to use it yet Madeline wondered how much trouble she would get into if she tested it out...

Ning's father had sent him money, which was very typical of him. Not that his father was one to spare his hard earned cash. It was like him to avoid apology or emotional contact for being completely unaware of his son's feelings, or they way other people chose to live their lives. Regardless, Ning planned to use the money sent to him. He had purchased all his school supplies but he could use an extra pair of shoes and perhaps a cat or a rabbit?

Looking around at all the clothes he began to feel discouraged. Everything around was brand name and something he couldn't stitch the logo off of. Irritated, Ning got out of the shop and continued walking around Obsidian Harbor. He then noticed an interesting looking girl walking in the other direction. She looked sort of familiar but he couldn't place her face. Maybe she was just one of those faces everyone recognized. Ning stood still for a moment, deciding whether he should say hi to the girl. He then ran after her.

When he finally caught up with the girl, Ning slowed down. "Hey, have we met?" he asked her politely.

Madeline continued walking as she pulled out her wand and looked around to see if anyone would notice her should she give it a good hearty wave just to see what would happen. Madeline had never really seen magic used given the fact that her parents had enjoyed living like Muggles and her grandfather had enjoyed not tempting her with magic. He seemed to think that if Madeline had seen him use magic around the house too often she might want to take his wand and practice with it. Madeline had indeed thought of 'borrowing' his wand just to see what she could do with it but had quickly lost interest in that as there were always something more interesting around the house, not to mention the fact that her grandfather seemed to always have his wand on hand and never left it out of his sight.

Madeline didn't mind too much since she had her own wand now, she was very interested now in seeing if her magical prowess was natural or if she was going to have to acquire it. Madeline looked at a few elderly witches as a very bad thought hit her mind as she pointed her wand ready to aim it at the unsuspecting pair. As she was about to wave it however a voice came from behind causing her to turn instantly missing her opportunity. Madeline had met the boy for only a brief instant when she and her grandfather had moved from London. Madeline wouldn't forget the boy because his name had been pretty interesting. "Yes Ningy!" Madeline said with a smile "we met a few months ago remember, I'm Madeline Gray!" Madeline said as she turned her attention real quick back to the old ladies but they had moved. "You got your wand yet?" Madeline asked turning her attention back towards Ning.

Ning stood in the middle of the over run streets. The wave of people subsiding as they came closer to the set of wooden benches that had been placed in a central park area. The flowers had wilted from there once attractive stems, while the moisture slowly evaporate in the suns rays. His body had it's own protection from the ultraviolet, but unfortunately it wasn't of his design. There was a slight delight etched in his defined features, his ears ignoring the shouts and noise around him.

Ning watched, captivated by what the girl was doing. Surely she wouldn't risk it. She was holding her wand. Ning smiled excitedly at her when she introduced herself. "Oh heavens, is that you Mady?" he asked her with a smile. "Oh yes, you wanna see?" he asked her, taking out his brand new wand.

"Do how have you been?" he inquired.

"Excellent" Madeline said with a smile as she looked at his wand for just a moment "now let's go get into trouble!" Madeline said as she began taking off into an alley running in and out of the crowds. A few of the people Madeline had to literally push aside despite the shocked looks she'd received, a few had even tried to grab her but Madeline seemed to be just out of their grasp as she ended up running into an alley. Madeline had chosen this alley particular since if you kept going down it you would end up in Bleak Street. Madeline didn't have any real intentions on going down Bleak Street unless of course Ningy dared her however it would be a good get away destination if Madeline's plans didn't work. Madeline looked around wondering if it would be possible to climb onto the roof's of one of the local buildings.

Ning nodded excitedly at his friend when she suggested that they go get some trouble. "Of of course! Trouble's my middle name!" he replied, running after his super-enthusiastic friend. Madeline had ran through crowds of people. Being the rather clumsy boy he was, Ning had almost knocked down a young girl. After apologizing to her parents several times, he continued to run after Madeline. After a few minutes of running (and more accidents of course), the two of them arrived in what seemed a rather dark alley. Ning had been in Obsidian harbor since he was seven, and by now he would have known that if they walked further in, they would end up in Bleak Street. Bleak Street was a place which children were not allowed it, but some like Ning and his friend Madeline, find fun in trying to explore Bleak Street.

"So watcha wanna do?" he asked Madeline, as he looked around in curiosity. "Go in Bleak Street perhaps?" he asked her with a mischievous wink.

"I have a better and much more original idea then that!" Madeline said as she returned his wink and began climbing up onto some random objects she reached over and with a slgiht jump landed on the roof of the door frame that belonged to the side entrance to one of the buildings. Madeline was not very tall and so had to jump a few times before she could feel the roof beneath her fingertips. She slowly began climbing up onto the roof showing more strength then normal girls her age. This was probably due to the chores she had to attend to at home and the fact that she was hyper active. Madeline looked back down at Ningy with a smile "Come on, it's not that hard!" Madeline said as she turned her attention away from him and back towards Obsidion Harbor.

Ning watched his friend do all sorts of stuff like climbing up roofs. "Oh okay!' he replied with a smile. Ning's parents had sent him to some acrobatic class when he was younger, and this enabled him to jump and climb easily. Grabbing on some kind of pole and a few of random objects people left there, Ning pulled himself up and climbed up all the way until he landed at the roof. It had been a long time since he had done all of this, but he was amazed that he still could. He then looked around, before running over to Madeline gently, not wanting to break anything. She looked as if she was walking towards the direction of Obsidian Harbor. Ning smiled, as he did a few somersaults in front of her. "This is fun!" he said, doing another somersault. His muscles had grown bigger, making it much more easier that when he was a kid.

Madeline looked back at Ning and smiled "No the fun hasn't even started yet" Madeline said with a smile as her feet crunched on the snow, there wasn't much but it was enough for Madeline to roll up a snowball. Madeline walked over and began looking down at the crowds wondering which one she should throw the snowball at. Finally she had seen her target as the woman made her way towards the Menagerie, Madeline took great aim as she threw the snowball hitting the woman on the head just as she had entered causing her to stumble and crash into several animal cages inside the building. Madeline ducked quickly enough as she heard the loud noises and the woman shout out in anger and surprise. Madeline couldn't help but laugh as she turned towards her friend, "Ningy, have you ever seen a Thestral?" Madeline asked in her normal random said thing tone.

Ning laughed, as he watched Madeline throw a snowball at a lady. "Good one!" he said as it hit the lady's head. He looked around, watching people walk past. There was this couple he noticed, getting all love-dovey over each other. "Get a room!" he said in a rather disgusted manner, as he threw one snow ball at each of them. "Quick duck!" he alerted Madeline, as they both hid. They were lucky that no one knew that it was them. Ning sighed, as he heard Madeline's question soon after. "Yes. I saw my mother die right before my eyes." he said to her quietly, almost a whisper. "I miss her," he continued, looking down. He watched as a mother helped her two sons carry their boxes. Ning sighed. "They're so lucky." he said, loudly enough so only Madeline could hear.

Madeline listened to Ning while rolling up another snowball, for some reason thinking about the death of loved ones brought her down and she didn't want that. "My parents were slashed to bits by Death Eater's right in front of me, so I know I'll be able to see the Thestrals" Madeline said rather bluntly. She had indeed seen her parents killed but not by men in masks, it had been a monster that had killed them and almost got her as well. It was a night she would never forget nor would she ever share. "Now come on" Madeline said as she stood back up and threw a snowball at Ning, afterward she took off running along the rooftops. The buildings were all so close together that you could basically sprint down the length of rooftops which would definitely help as Madeline was running off towards Gringotts "We're going to be pirates!" Madeline called back to Ning wondering if he knew how to rob Gringotts.

Ning smiled, as Madeline kind of tried to cheer him up a little bit. "You have experienced life worse than me." he said to her, as a snowball hit his face. "Oh no you did not!" he shouted out with a grin, rolling up a gigantic snowball. "Mady, be afraid! Be very afraid!" he said to her, still holding the snowball. He decided not to aim it at her yet, he wanted to throw it at the least unexpected moment. Ning laughed thinking of his friend's reaction. Perhaps Ning really was evil. He stood up and ran after her, soon he had already caught up with her. Ning then continued to run faster and faster. The buildings seemed to become shorted and shorter in height. Noticing a some cardboard on the snow, he took one and used it to slide down the roofs.

Madeline looked down at Ning wondering what on Earth he was doing as she pushed some snow off one of the roofs towards him. The snow began to gain momentum as it began sliding off onto the ground hitting the heads of several people. Madeline turned towards the back of whatever building she was on and began making her way down and towards her friend. Madeline had to be careful since even though she was sure the blame was likely to fall on the boy sledding down the roofs that she might have been noticed. Madeline began sneaking around until at last she was in front of Gringotts. "Ning come on!" Madeline said as she walked forwards and noticed the sign, Madeline had never met the goblins of Gringotts but knew that it may be quite interesting indeed to see them and find out what they were like.

Ning was having so much fun when the sound of Madeline calling his name made him stop. "What oh what Little Mady?" he asked, turning around, and getting out of his little fake sledge. He realized that Madeline was standing in front of Gringotts. Whatever she is planning to do, that girl must be mental! he thought, looking at her. "So, what do you want to do here? Beg the goblins to give you some gold?" he asked with a chuckle. He slowly tiptoed in Gringotts, and watched the goblins doing their thing. "Wow, this place is kinda cool!" he said to Madeline. "Come on in, I'm sure we're allowed too!" he shouted from the inside.
