Like most House Elves Tin was not born out of love or even wedlock instead he was born out of contract. The Silverbacks and another wizarding family got together and bred their two houselves resulting in several children, each kept one house elf and the rest were sold off into other families so that the siblings and the parents never saw each other again. Tin was fortunate to live with his father and brother in the same house however Mineral died a few years after Gold and Silver were born.
Tin belonged to Luxen Silverback since Luxen was a teenager always serving him in whatever desires he held. When Luxen was sent to Azkaban Tin waited patiently for his master's return by staying in his room and making sure everything was right when his master returned. When Luxen did returned however it was not to stay, Luxen and Tin immediantly left to travel the world and increase Luxen's knowledge.
In Canada both Luxen and Tin fell in love with a young Witch named Morganna Le'Creigh she was the only person Tin would disobey his master for even if it resulted in his death. Tin was very much sad when they had to leave and often tried to make attempts to see her again. When they finally moved to Bleak Street Tin spent most of his time busy in the shadows setting things up for his master, untill the day he saw Maeve O'Brien.
He'd seen a picture in his master's room and knew who she was imediantly, saving her from the Leaky Cauldron as it burned. Taking her back to the Silver Snake he picked up her wand causing his new found obsession with wizard magic. For years he was beaten and punished for every little thing that he'd done by his master but with the wand in hand he felt the power that wizard's must feel, for once in his life he felt as though he was an equal to all wizards including his master unfortunately that wouldn't last.
Maeve awoke and a battle broke out between the two, Tin was more dark than Maeve and was willing to do anything for the wand including kill her if need be however Luxen returned and tortured him for all that he'd done. Luxen was about to kill Maeve but Tin intervene revealing who she was to him and thus saving her life for a second time.
Tin often has to suffer through indignations by the will of his master, whether it be hiding his illegal goods, providing cover while he modifies memeries (specifically Maeve's) delivering messages, or one of the most dreadfull Siverback traditions painting himself gold and sticking himself on the top of a Christmas tree that he himself had to decorate. Tin resents being a house elf but follows his orders dutifully and if there is a loophole that he can succesfully get away with he will most definately do it.
Tin was eventually set free from the service of the Silverbacks when he made a terribly mistake which lead him into a depression, Tin befriended a Comatose Patient in RM 211 and named him Mr.Twitchy (the name comes from the fact that everytime Tin pokes him he twitches). Tin has often hurt Mr.Twitchy including a few amputations under the illusion that he's helping him. Tin is very loving and loyal to Mr.Twitchy and always thinks that he is helping him even when he's actually killing him.
For a long while Tin worked under the care of Morganna Le'Criegh whom he had loved for a very long time. Tin helped her capture his old master and erase his memories including the fact that he had freed Tin so he was able to rejoin his services. Tin is still a free elf however he serves the Silverbacks and Luxen faithfully. Tin has recently taken up the orders of Sigourney, a Silver Snake V3 that belongs to Luthor Silverback and knows the snake's secrete. He is Luxen's Silverback's link to the outside world since his death and rebirth and helped him torture his stepdaughter into thinking she was evil.
After the reborn Luxen was proven to be a fake and was killed Tin took on the duties of continuing to serve the Silverback's and while he is supposed to be serving Andromeda Fiorelli he has since taking to serving Lolita Silverback along with Luthor and Sigourney, these day's he's often performing the dirty work of one of the three and has gotten into less trouble though that's not to say he hasn't gone to visit Mr. Twitchy, despite being ordered to stay away. Tin is rumored to be the holder of the Silverback Legacy, an object held by all of the Silverback Heads and is to one day be given to Luthor when he comes of age. Tin is hated by most of the acolytes that serve Luthor Silverback in the name of his late father Luxen but to this day Luthor has used Tin and thus is allowed to keep on living.
