Time to go

Riley walked into the forbidden forest slowly as he looked around for the Slytherin first year he needed to collect, Melanie. A member of staff had told him that she had an off into here after fighting with a student. Riley could certainly see why Ryan had an interest in this girl. He thought that with Ryans training she could probably end up like him. He hoped not and he would not be doing this without good reason but the fact was he had no choice. If it wasn't him doing this then Ryan would just get someone else to do it, so there was really no point in saying no.

Riley continued to walk and found that he was petty deep in to the forest. There was nobody else here so he guessed when he came across the girl it would be his target. He took out his wand and gave it a flick. A bright light shot out of the end and lit up the forest so he could see around properly. There was something about being in a forest that he liked. Maybe it was the smell or the view. It was the same with water. When he had been in school he liked being around the lake, it had been where he had studied.

Just then he saw a blonde girl. Riley moved his wand to point to the side slightly so it would not damage her eye sight or anything. He walked forward slightly. "Melanie White i assume." He said calmly, he dint want to send her in to a frenzy of anger as he wasnt sure how long or short his temper would be. He trusted himself though

Melanie didn't know exactly how long she had been in the forest, all she really knew was she was hungry and she had missed a lot of her lessons. Her eyes began to flicker closed again, she had spent most of her time sleeping on the log, able to ignore the sounds of the forest.

Melanie was woken again by a bright light shining in her eyes through her eyelids. The blonde opened her eyes to see a teacher walking towards her. Her DADA teacher to be exact. He spoke her name calmly but she was on her feet with her bag on her shoulder in a flash. She could run if he made a move to bring her in. Of course, there was the thought of him knowing more magic that her, he could probably catch her.

"Maybe." Melanie spoke to him eventually. "Depends why you want to know." She knew she could probably surprise him if she lunged at him, he wouldn't be expecting such a small girl to be strong or fast, a lot of people underestimated her and she was glad of it. She was high strung at the moment, Ryan hadn't replied to her in any way yet and she was scared. Melanie didn't do scared, if she got scared she turned it to anger instead. Anger worked for her.

Riley watched her stand up and grab her bag. He hoped she wouldnt try and make a run for it. He could easily sop her but h would rather her be co-operative. Riley liked the girl attitude although he didnt like the tone she was using to him but he was not here to argue. He was here for a 'friend' and he waned to get this over and done with. "I have this or you." He said handing her he letter Ryan had received from Ryan. "He told me to tell you to remember to aim for the throat." He said not actually knowing why Ryan had said to say that but he assumed Mel would now what he meant. "Im here to get you to of this school. Thats what you want right?" Riley asked biting his bottom lip and waited to ear her reply.

Melanie looked down at the piece of parchment the man held out, immediately recognising it as her own. Of course that didn't mean a thing, anyone could easily get their hands on a letter. it wasn't hard to do. It was what he said that convinced her. Those were the words he had first told her, when she was hitting the older boy. He had told her the weak spots and helped her out.

"Ryan sent you." It wasn't a question. Melanie dropped her bag and sat back down on the log. "Yeah, it really is. How you going to do it though?" She was more than reluctant to leave the 'safety' of the forest. There was no-one here to punish her and she could run fast enough to avoid all of the things she had met so far and she wasn't deep enough in to come across the dangerous creatures.

"I'm not leaving the forest." Melanie was sure and she sounded it. She knew the man couldn't make her. If he did it could be classed as assault and she could tell Ryan. He would definitely do that for her, this man looked like he knew what Ryan was capable of.

Riley saw the recognition on the little girls face at hat he had said. He had thought that what he had been told to say was of need. "Yes he did and let me worry about that ok but you can help by not being stubborn because you not coming out of here will mean you wont get out of school so i will give you a week of detention for being in a restricted zone." He said folding his arms across his chest and shifting his weight to one foot. He still had his wand in one hand with the light shining from it. "Make you choice." He said waiting for a reply

Melanie stood her ground. "How can I do detention if I don't come out?" She raised her eyebrows and stayed exactly where she was. If she left the forest she would get detention for smacking the other girl around anyway so there was really no point in leaving. She waited for the man to rise to the challenge. Stubborn was part of her and there was no way in hell she would stop without a good reason.

Riley had to hold back a laugh at what she said, she had a set on her that was for sure but still he was the professor so he was in charge. "I will make you come out . Me or i will always get either your heard of year of head master. Im sure hey will have a more severe punishment than just some detentions." He said wondering about going with a different approach in case that didnt work. "Unless you want to get out and see Ryan then you may want to do as your told because this is not what i want to do so hurry before i change my mind." He said to her sternly a tone showing who was in charge

Melanie thought it over before deciding that the sooner she got out of this hell hole the better. "I'm not going because you want me too, I'm going so I can get rid of you quicker." She said the the professor before walking off in the right direction. She didn't like that she was doing what he wanted but it meant that, not only could she leave quicker, but she could go home to Ryan.

Melanie couldn't believe that he was really going to adopt her. It all felt like some horrible joke and someone was going to jump out at any moment and tell her that she had to stay at school and she still lived with her mother. Melanie walked slouching and slow, her own personal way of rebelling.

Riley ignored her comment and turned and walked briskly in the direction of the caste. He noted her slow pace an sighed. "You know the centaurs should be here son so if you dont hurry up then i may just ask them to sort you out. Im not here for my own personal entertainment. SO HURRY UP!" He said the last part a little more loudly to show her that his patients was wearing thin. He couldn't be bothered with a student who though they could get away with being disrespectful.
