After Dan had bluntly broke up with Deme without any real reasons Deme felt lost for just a little while. She felt used, how she had given in so easily to temptation. It wasn't fun being the one to have a broken heart, ordinarily she was the one to break hearts without given them a taste at all. She very well set this up on her own, with Dan going to Hogwarts and now Deme stuck in this school. She felt so out of place, she would have much rather have gone to Drumstrang with Deviant. It was to late though, if next year she don't get into Hogwarts, Deme thought of just going back home to Salem.

It would seem the entire school was in upheaval due to the upcoming tournament, Maximus had been tempted to not put his name in but after hearing that Alexius was going to he sighed and thought better of it. When the time came he'd put his name in as well, if only to stop his brother from having the worst scenario possible happen to him. His brother was a magnet for trouble and danger of every kind and this tournament would definitely be right up his alley, always feeling he had something to prove.

Max sighed staring at the headboy badge on his sweater before looking away. He caught a glimpse of a girl he didn't think he had really noticed before. Perhaps she was a transfer because he pretty much knew most of the students. Walking over with a smile on his face he decided to greet her.
"Hi there, I'm Max. Are you new here?" he felt lame of course but sometimes lame was all it took to make a new friend.

Demeter looked up a little stunned to see someone as Max just come out of nowhere to introduce himself. Deme was used to the usual looking guys to talk to her and ninety percent of the time she would always get their attention so easily. She must've looked pathetic to Max, however she didn't show her decreasing confidence. Demeter smiled while she nodded. "Yes new from States." she spoke fluently her American accent showing no lie that in fact she was not from France. "Demeter, Demeter Dallamoor nice to meet you Max." she continue smile at the heavenly looking boy.

He smiled at the girl hoping that he was trying to make her feel welcome instead of apprehensive.
"Wow the States huh? Did you attend Salem?" he leaned against the wall as he spoke to her, his hands pushing deep into his pockets and his feet crossing at the ankle. Maximus was always comfortable in anyone's company. He waited for the girl to speak but noted her smile at least there was that much. He knew quite a few students who had transferred late in their scholastic careers and it was always hard. Leaving friends and family behind, never knowing what to expect or if any new friends could be made.
"I hope you settle in here ok. Is it very different to what you're used too?

Demeter nodded when he mention her hometown. "Yes that's the one." she look back down again. Her admiration for the boy went away, simply because she so badly missed Salem. When he kept questioning her, Deme wasn't positive if she wanted to tell him the truth or not. Instead she fib a little, her frown slowly turning into a smile as her eyes flutter to meet his stare again. "I've been doing well on my own. I'm just a little confused as to why would they transfer me here but without my brother" even if Deviant wasn't always someone Deme wanted to be around with, its just made her that more lonely though without the protection of her twin brother. Deme was sure he was doing fine without her. Deviant always knew how to relocate, Deme on the other hand took a while to get used to a place. Deme blames him anyways, if he hadn't volunteer to do the foreign exchange program maybe Deme wouldn't have been here.
