Jennette loved dances, she was never really considered girly but in there was something about dances that made her giddy inside. The Gryffindor common room was abuzz with girls in dresses discussing their dates and their plans for the evening. Most of her house mates were talking about their boyfriends or the boys who finally asked them to the dance and so forth. Jennette felt embarrassed that she didn't have a real date, she was going with her friend Kiara, it wasn't what she'd call a date but she was nonetheless excited. She couldn't explain it but she felt like she was getting ready for a date and she was just as excited for it. Jennette loved her dress, it was shimmering and sparkly and hugged her figure wonderfully. When the time came she followed some of her fellow Gryffindors out of the common room and made her way down to the entrance hall to wait for Kiara coming up from her common room.

Kiara smiled as she added the finishing touches to her hair. She was going to be attending the Yule Ball with her good friend Jennette. They had been growing very close recently and so Kiara had decided that she would attend the Yule Ball with her. Justin had decided to dumb her for that annoying B!tch Shiloh, so she figured that she should be allowed to have some fun. She smiled at her reflection and headed up towards the Entrance Hall. Jennette had agreed to meet her there. She smiled at her Date, for all intense and purposes and stood next to her. She really enjoyed Jennette's company. She slung her arm into Jennette's and headed towards the hall. This was going to be fun. "Are you excited." She asked. "I am."

Jennette felt a strange sensation in her stomach as she watched Kiara walk up the steps from the dungeons and into the Entrance hall. On any other occasion she might associate it as butterflies but that was an appropriate reaction to seeing your friend. Jennette had to admit that she had never seen Kiara looking for beautiful, and it was a little odd that she made such an observation. When Kiara came up beside her and slung her arm in hers Jennette could have giggled but she held it back. "I'm very excited," She beamed as she made her way into the Great hall. "Wonder if we'll get any funny looks," She giggled.

Kiara smiled at Jennette. She was feeling alittle strange but she kept assuring herself that it was nothing. Surely it was excitement from attending the Yule Ball? She shrugged her shoulders discreetly and continued into the ball. Jennette looked really great. They went together so well. Which of course she was very glad for. She would be rather upset if they didn't match. But they were girls. It couldn't be that hard to match. Besides, Kiara knew that she was quite fashionable, and Jennette wasn't all that bad herself. Sure she might have been a little of a hot head. But that was what Kiara loved about her. Strange words to use she realised. She didn't really think about it. Simply enjoying the atmosphere of the Ball.

They entered and Kiara looked around smiling. "Oh I doubt it. Anyway, I wouldn't care. You're my friend and we are coming for some fun." She said as she skipped over to the table for some punch, bringing extra back for Jennette. "Do you want to dance after this?" She asked as she leaned up against the wall. Looking at Jennette cutely.

Jennette beamed as she and Kiara made there way into the Great hall. The hall was beautifully decorated for the ball, the center of the room was filled with students dancing and talking and drinking punch. Jennette was so happy to finally be here, it was the first time she'd attended a Yule Ball during her time at Hogwarts and she couldn't be happier. Kiara left to get punch for the both of them and Jennette took a sip, she couldn't get over how great her friend looked. She easily looked twice as good as any of the sixth or seventh year girls who guys third year and above were drooling over. "Yeah I guess we could dance," Jennette said through a cheeky smile as she sipped more of her punch.

Kiara smiled at Jennette and lead her onto the dance floor, pushing another couple out of her way. She quite liked this song, it was kind of moderate as to the speed, but she didn't mind, too fast was bad and too slow was also bad. She just figured she would wait until she heard a song that she really liked. For now she was just happy swaying to the music. Just talking to Jennette was fine for now too. There wasn't much going on around them, so she was going to strike up a discussion. "So, are you doing anything over the holiday?" she asked. As usual Kiara was to be heading home, which she absolutely hated having to do. She would so much have preferred to stay at school, but it seemed that her parents were against that idea entirely.

The music changed, and Kiara moved closer to Jennette, they were about the same height, so it did not make a difference where she stood in relation to Jennette. They both looked good and she was determined to show that off.

Jennette and Kiara just swayed in time to the music until something good came one that they could dance too. Kiara tried to keep the conversation going in the mean time, "I haven't decided yet, I want to stay here but I don't know who's staying yet and there's no point staying here alone," Jennette hadn't said anything but she hoped that Kiara would stay at school over the holidays, she didn't really want to go home and the only person she wanted to spend the holidays with was her. Jennette noticed Kiara's eyes light up when the song switched to something she liked, Jennette put her arm around Kiara's waist and pulled her into to dance.
