- Holly wand, 11" Essence of Phoenix Feather
Kate absentmindedly left the common room and walked down the steps. Her mind was filled with many things at the moment but none of which she could explain. Finding herself down in the kitchens she pulled out her wand, "Accio." She said quietly towards the mug sitting on a counter amongst others. It was clean so she went over and filled it up with some coffee. Sitting down on a bench she suddenly felt really lonely. Despite the fact that she was in a school with over 2000 people, it still felt lonely. James was at home at the moment, probably playing chess against mum or dad. Feeling a homesickness surge, she put her mug down and placed her head in her hands. A terrible headache was coming and her head felt as if someone was hammering it in. Running a smooth hand through the blondness, she tried to think of the Christmas holidays when she could see her family again.
Pulling her thick, red hoodie around her tighter she sipped a little more of the steaming coffee and let her thoughts run away like the escaping steam.
Checking her watch, she realised that she had been there for over 15 minutes and wondered what everyone in the common room would be doing.
Smiling to herself as she remebered the food fight she had had with Sam over breakfast a week ago she let her thoughts run to the fact that he was like James and he wasn't here.
Sighing as the circle met its beginning again, she grabbed an orange and began peeling it trying to relax the hurting headache which was now building up more.
