After a tough season with the Macaws and helping around Kida with the Charmers, vacations were exactly what Icarus needed, away from the fast pace of everyday life. He was torn between his new life in Italy and his career in New Zealand. At the same time he had plans of his own work in his mind that he hadn't revealed yet to anyone. He could feel the pressure of adulthood not only in his professional matters but also regarding his relationships. No wonder why he needed this break so much. Whe he usually wanted to escape from everything, he was picking a random destination and he was flying there with a broom on his own. This had changed slightly as this time he visited his next destination with his sweetheart. This change came unexpectedly painlessly to him. It was the first time he was bonding so much with a girlfriend of his that he had given her room in his own life. He was a frivolous person who want to live the present to the extreme and not worry about the future. However, this time he had planned this trip to Cook Islands with her and he hadn't regretted it for a mere second.

After a light lunch, he decided to spend the rest of the afternoon with Kida, walking through the loud, Polynesian market. Local products were exhibited on wooden counters and mats, woodcarvings, weaved basketware and hats, tropical fruits which existance was unknown to Icarus and a wide variety of fresh-caught fish. These images were accompanied by the sound of local percussion instruments to which the locals were dancing in the streets, wearing spectacular costumes. The sound of the constant hitting knife wasn't missing, neither did the constant quarrelling/profanity of the fishermen but they were elements that were blending well with the rest of the scene. Icarus was holding tenderly Kida's hand as he was planning to move on their walk towards the beach, taking a secret path he had discovered on his own earlier. He was planning more things than just this walk but he was keeping his intentions hidden behind a relaxed expression.
"I feel like I'm not on earth anymore." he said and took a deep breath of the sweet smelling cinnamon that was coming from a nearby counter of natural cosmetics. A smile on his lips was the only hint that their walk had a specific destination and wasn't just a random one.

Time off was just what Kida required, Icarus had made plans for them to travel for a holiday, she hardly had any boyfriends who cared about her enough to want to go and spend time with her so she organised time off to relax with her boyfriend who had captured her heart. Kida felt slightly awkward without Scarlet but she had to hold the emotion under lock, Scarlet would grow up and go to school and she wouldn't need to spend every second wondering about where she was or what she was doing, she knew that she was safe with Eden so her worries eased, but she had to remind her that she was here for her and she needed to focus on herself more instead of Scarlet, her cousin and her Half-brothers which she spent most of her time worrying about and helping them with what they needed.
Ater a light lunch with Icarus they went down to the Polynesian Markets, finding herself delighted by all the items available she couldn't help but study some things, the craftsmanship was stunning but she decided not to purchase anything. Kida walked to a store which sold colourful sarongs and she picked out a striking Black one with gold pictures of wolves in a tribal print, she smiled and purchased it wrapping it around her hips over the top of her shorts giving a quick spin to see what Icarus thought, she moved closer to him and kissed him lightly on the cheek before taking up his hand again. Kida and Icarus walked around more but nothing was calling out to her and Scarlet didn't need any more presents, Eden was always spoiling her.

Fingers intertwined with Icarus' she smiled as they talked and went around the markets, she pointed out a group of bickering old men, their skin brown like leather from the constant exposure to the sun, she laughed lightly wondering what they could be fighting about but one seemed to be holding a fishing net and had an expression as if he wanted to throw it on the other guy and use him as bait. Icarus steered them in a different Direction and she rested her head lightly on his shoulder lightly while they walked, he seemed relaxed which is exactly what they needed. Kida picked her head up off Icarus' shoulder, her long brown hair wrapping around her slightly with the light wind that drifted around them, she enjoyed the sweet scent of Cinnamon nearby, so many benefits of cinnamon she thought she should have it more often. Kida gently tightened her grip on Icarus' hand 'Who needs to be on Earth anyway' she said, she felt as if she was in a small chaotic paradise where any second you could turn the wrong way and end up somewhere beautiful 'Someone has been exploring' she said letting Icarus lead her where ever he decided to take her, this choice of route couldn't be an accident. Kida sighed thoughtfully 'This place is stunning' the Brunette had little time to explore anymore, as a child she would climb trees and find her own mysterious land in her back yard but now that she was older and able to travel she felt enjoyment in discovering beautiful places 'We should go for a swim later, and actually swim this time, not like last time you took me to a tropical island' she said giving Icarus a little nudge with her hips a devious smile on her lips.

Icarus was responding with a smile each time Kida was studying an item on the local people's counters. He could tell from the most items which had caught her attention, that she was thinking a lot about Scarlet. In the end, she bought a sarong that she wrapped around her hips, getting him looking with a crooked smile. He accepted her smile on his cheek and let her fingers slip between his. Despite the commotion from the local fishermen who were quarrelling over tangled fishing nets, the rest of the market was into a nonchalant mood tha was channeled into him. He would love to
dawdle on a swinging hammock, listening to the rush of the ocean. He had other plans however, and it seemed likehis girlfriend had sensed something. "Not really. I'm exploring right now with you." he lied, avoiding to meet her hazelnut eyes. He didn't want a smile or a glance to give her a hint. "Oh, let's take this path." he supposedly made a random choice, taking her out of the market to a stone-paved path leading into a patch of tropical jungle.

The intense floral smells of birds of orchids and ginger tickled his nostrils along with the subtle smell of coconuts and bananas. As far as the sight could reach, there was lush tropical green, overlapping with kiwi green and kelly greenery, bright fushia flowers, orange and purple. He couldn't prevent the smile that streched on his face when she mentioned last time they went to swim. He also found interesting the fact that she was helping him with his plan by suggesting to go swimming later.
"Only if you promise you won't turn into a wolf this time." he teased her back as this thumb caressed her hand which was locked with his. He hadn't told her but he had recently noticed that his own patronus had changed from a falcon to a wolf. He wasn't sure whether he was falling for her or not but he was feeling good when he was around her. "I promise, I'll behave this time. Just swimming." he said distracted by the squeals of the exotic birds on the coconut trees.

Kida let Icarus lead her which ever way he decided to walk, she trusted him not to get them lost, and if they did they both had the ability to escape anyway. The Cool air picked up the back of her sarong which floated softly in the breeze. 'I'm going to need to plant trees and flowers like these at home' she said softly almost to herself the scent was absolutely devine she felt as if she should be in a shampoo commercial in this tropical paradise, the scent was a decent match at least. Kida held back a giggle when Icarus wanted her to promise not to turn into a wolf, she looked up at him and her eyes changed to a striking Gold with Green shot through them 'Whats wrong with being a wolf, they're smart, cunning creatures with a lot of hidden power and strength' she said giving Icarus a nudge with her hips again 'if you insist, i won't change into a wolf, but you don't have to be entirely well behaved' her eyes changed back to their regular hazel.

'Good, we can go for a lovely swim then i can fall asleep on the beach drinking a fresh coconut' Kida saw a tree fallen along the side of the path and she eagerly jumped onto it still holding Icarus' hand using him for balance as she carefully walked along the slightly mossy log, Carefully take steps so that she didn't slip. 'This place is beautiful, my forest in my back yard hardly seems as amazing as this' she added choosing her steps carefully as she came closer to the end of the log.

Her Brunette hair wrapped around her again as the breeze changed direction and she stopped at the end of the log and brushed it out of her face with her free hand before turning to Icarus to get his assistance in jumping down.

The breeze changed direction and blew softly on his face, bringing more floral aromas to challenge his sense of smell. He inhaled deeply and then smiled as Kida teased him about his wolf statement, bringing back momories from the time he first learnt she was a wolf animagus.
"No doubt they are great creatures but not when you are challenged in a sprint against them." he replied and helped her jump down the log she was balancing on, giving her his hand.
The path with the green walls of vegetation started narrowing before them as they were moving on. Soon the varied chatter of tropical birds was muffled by the rushing sound of waves over the sand. Icarus put aside some of the lush vegetation to reveal a lovely haven.
"What do you know. When you ask it, you get it." he referred to her desire to swim, his facial expression hinting that the fact they just got to that isolated beach was anything but a random discovery.

The neutral color of the sand was creating a nice contrast next to the intense turquoise of the water and a few scattered coconut trees were swaying indolently to the rhythm of the salty breeze. Icarus didn't waste a moment. He took off his clothes, not bothering to drop them down on the sand and stay with his boardshorts and took his wand in hand as well. He walked over to the edge of the water where a wave rushed on his feet and covered them to his knees before retreating back to the ocean. "What are you waiting for?" he invited her over before jumping into the cool water, disappearing out of sight for a moment. "Let's go and explore. I heard some locals saying there is a coral reef around here." he said when he surfaced and pointed his wand at his face. A bubble enveloped his mouth and nose, similar to an oxygen mask and he disappeared again beneath the surface. He used a few breaststrokes to get a few meters further from the beach and deeper in the water, completely able to breath now underwater and with his wand in his hand in case a dangerous marine animal was going to join them to their diving. When he reached the sandy bottom, he stopped and waited for Kida to catch up.

Using icarus' assistance to help her lff the log she jumped down beimg careful mot to slip and ruin the moment. kida lockdd her fingers with his.
Laughing slightly and pushing her arm tightly against his the brunette shook her head, she never knew Icarus could be so competitive when it came to a simple race. With a swift movement she swept Icarus hand over her head and leaned into him still holding his hand but placing it on her waist as they walked, she felt like getting closer to him.
Kida watched as Icarus parted the vegetation to revel a haven, in the back of kidas mind she was worried they would have found some for, of poisonous animal if they went any deeper into the forest so she was releaved to view the soft sand and waves. 'oh it's absolutely stunning' she exclaimed wanting to dive right in, she loved the water and it looked so inviting. Icarus must have shared the same idea because he quickly undressed and ran to waters edge, she smiled at Icarus and followed him but stopped half way to get undressed, she undid her sarong and slid her shirts down her legs before peeling off her singlet to reveal a flattering black and gold bikini making the brown and good of her hair stand out and her lightly good skin glow. Kida grabbed a pouch from her shorts where they lay on the ground and unfolded the straps and fastened it around her ankle before running to the waters edge letting the delightful water glider Orr her feet 'you read my mind Icarus' she said in response to exploring, she had a salt water aquarium in her bedroom in newspeak and which made the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom filled with colourful coral and fish and she couldn't wait to see some new fish and coral to,give her ideas.

Kida walked into the water making sure Icarus was watching as the water wrapped around her long legs, as soon as the water was at her hips she dived in and came up close to Icarus, her hazel eyes more green than usual due to the bright sun. Kida smiled 'ill follow you then mister explorer' she said lightly splashing water at Icarus, she raised her wand to her face and a bubble formed around her nose and mouth giving her oxygen, she sunk under the surface and followed Icarus down, when she caught up on the bottom she slipped her wand into the strap on her ankle, a handy case for easy access but hands free her god uncle gave her. Kida smiled at Icarus which must have looked strange through the bubble, she saw some small colourful fish dart around her, curious about what she was, so,e started to dart in and out of her floating hair around her as if it was some form of new home, Kida giggled and moved her hands so her long hair floated up and slowly drift back down which only made the fish more curious.

Kida swam next to Icarus and rested one hand on his shoulder as I'd to say she was ready to go where he wanted to.

Watching Kida's silhouette piercing through water, he kicked the sandy bottom to shot himself closer to the surface.
He noticed the smile behind her bubble mask, awkwardly stretching behind it. That made him chuckle a bit, letting smaller bubbles escape from his own bubble mask and reach the surface. He then turned to face the endless ocean. He couldn't see much, his eyesight blurred by water so he used once more his wand aiming straigh on his grey eyes to cast a spell, enabling him to see clearly. He let the water float him for a few moments as he was recalling the direction he had previously used. He felt Kida's hand on his shoulder the moment he remembered where they were supposed to go. He touched her hand and nodded towards the direction they were going to take. He dove deeper with a dolphin kick and continued swimming in that way as he had take the lead. He was making sure she was following him. The open sea wasn't their backyard and there were always dangers lurking. That was why, unlike her, he had preferred to keep a tight grip of his wand although he was swimming.

It started getting deeper and he found himself swimming between the surface and the bottom. Underwater swimming was an activity he enjoyed a lot and there was a long time since last time he had attempted to indulge himself in this activity. Still dolphin kicking, he turned his back to the bottom to face the surface. The sunlight was playing some nice tricks with the agitated surface. It was so relaxing to watch it while sun beams were sweetly stroking his face that he closed his eyes for a moment. He reopened his eyes when he felt some movement beside him and when he saw Kida. he invited her non-verbally to do the same. As she did, his hand reached for her hand and he interlocked his fingers between hers. This perfect moment was ruined a couple minutes later when they observed a wave above them rushing, heading towards the beach, leaving lots of foam on the surface. The waters above them had became more agitated and that meant only one thing. The currents had slowly brought them exactly were he was planning to take her. He turned behind them to see shadows covering the distant seabed.

He nodded once more to her in order to follow him and he swam lower in an attempt to apprach the shadows. Soon the shadows transformed into distinct shapes that acquired color as they grew closer. The world's most productive ecosystems was stretching below them. The sandy depths gave their place to a bursting with life, coral reef. Corals of bright colors and a variety of shapes were forming colonies for innumerable sea creatures. Along with Kida, he dove deeper in order to swim between the different clusters the corals were grouping into. Pillar corals were the most common around them along with staghorn corals that were providing a much needed shelter for small fish. Different species of sea anemones were scattered amongst the corals. Their tentacles were dancing synchronized to the rhythm the current was giving them and Icarus could see a few clown fish popping their heads out of their sanctuary to investigate the two, enormous foreigners. Along their course, Icarus and Kida were followed by parrotfishes and butterflyfishes, into a vortex of colors. Icarus noticed a huge table coral and he strayed away from the space that the reefs were forming between them. The specific coral had grown into a large plate that could allow a human lie on it. Icarus decided not to do that as he didn't want to harm this delicate ecosystem. Instead, he picked up the unoccupied shell of sea slug. He returned back to Kida and he handed to her the spiky ornament of the sea. "Oh look! A sea turtle!" he tried to say but his voice was confined by the bubble around his mouth and nose. His hand however was able to point at the green turtle that was swimming a few meters away from Kida.

Kida enjoyed the sensation of being under water, her long brown hair continued to move around her and she smiled, she could spend hours in a pool if she had the time, she had refused to build one at her home because she would get distracted too easily, she made a quick mental note to think about building a large pond so she could at least relax by it, the cool sound and feel of water always relaxed her.
The view around her was slightly skewed but in her youth she had learnt to adapt to it so it was only slightly off to her, Kida still pulled her wand from the ankle brace and pointed at her hazel eyes casting a spell to instantly clear her vision before tucking the wand back in its holster. Icarus touched her hand and swam in a direction, Kida follwed her body moving slowly through the water, she was enjoying the sensation as she dolphin kicked slightly behind Icarus, every now and then she would do a back flip or roll half giggling to herself as she moved. Kida sped up and easily caught Icarus touching his foot lightly as a joke to try scare him before moving and swimming above him keeping his pace easily. The water was her playground, she would often swim at the Lake when she was at school and swam with Mermaids, Kida wondered if there were any mermaids out here, she doubted it.

Kida was busy swimming with some brightly coloured fish with her arms out in front of her when she caught up to Icarus letting the fish swim on. He seemed to be reclined floating at the bottom of the sea bed, she giggled and ran her hand along his arm, he reached for her hand and she smiled again, her hair wrapping around her face as a sort of a mask before she pushed it away. Kida still holding Icarus' hand followed him, she watched the wave roll but tried to fight against it losing to the power of the sea. Keeping her grip tight she followed Icarus where ever he decided to lead her, Kida's eyes widened as she saw the Colour pan out in front of her, a few bubbles escaped the one around her mouth the view before her was stunning and beyond words, the vibrant colours were unmatched to any coral reefs she had seen before. Kida kicked her legs twice to get closer to the Coral life, some fish darted away others stayed rather curious. Kida held her hand out as a Fish swum past and graced her fingers, she smiled before looking back at Icarus, she saw the shell in his hands from a sea slug and took it studying it closely, the spikes weren't sharp and she knew on land they would be rather fragile, she looked for somewhere to store it but she didn't bring a bag with her, pulling the wand from her ankle she flicked her wand and a bag made of woven ropes slowly formed in front of her, she attached the rope around her waist so it hung off her hip and placed the shell in it.
Looking back up at Icarus she saw the Sea Turtle just before he pointed towards it, eagerly she kicked towards it, she loved Sea turtles even though she never showed it, their grace and beauty was one of the things she admired about the animal, her Patronus often changed to a Sea Turtle and back depending on how her life was panning out at that point in time. Kida placed on hand out and touched its large shell letting it move under her fingers slightly, she turned back to Icarus and signaled him to come closer.

Icarus get closer to investigate the green sea turtle. He wasn't sure if they should interact with the creature or just let it go. In the end, he let his fingers trace the corneous shell but his attention wasn't exactly there. Something else was bothering as he was searching around him in this riot of colours. Something he had organized last time he had came here when Kida was still asleep in the hotel room. He motioned with his hand that he wanted them to move in a different direction. He knew that this might seem a little odd to her but currently, he was afraid that he might have lost what exactly he wanted to show her in the first place.

They swam to a sandier spot and he stopped. Suddenly, the scene looked familiar away from the bursting with life coral reef. He was scanning the sand bellow him for something until he found it. He pointed out at something that you had to squint your eyes to see it from there. He dove, holding Kida's hand along the way until a large clam shell lying on the reef's floor was now completely visible. The clam looked really out of place, one would wonder what it was doing right there. Icarus swam over and he picked up the clam and handed it to Kida.

Icarus motioned for her to open it, hardly hiding a smile. He could guess that she was probably expecting a pearl inside. There was no pearl however when she opened it, but an engagement ring, nestled inside the clam. He had staged all this. He had found the empty clam by the beach and decided it would be an inventive way to propose to her. He let her face transform, take its expressions of surprise and then he awkwardly tried to kneel on the sandy seabed. "Kida Frost. I ask you to pass through life at my side-to be my second self, and best earthly companion." he intended to say but instead his voice got muffled again under the bubble that was covering his mouth. He hoped at least she got the general point and he wasn't standing there at vain.

The Turtle before them moved itself to feel their touch before lazily but effortlessly swimming away powerful stroke after powerful stroke, Kida smiled and saw Icarus wanted them to go in a different direction, maybe he had seen something. The reflection of the Sun danced along her skin as she swum, she swum up slightly to put her hand on a rather large fish, she couldn't resist its colours were bright and fascinating and it didn't seem to mind. Kida caught up with Icarus and looked at the bright colours of the Coral, she was careful not to touch any in case she cut herself on the sharp edges, even though the coral looked like it was soft some was rather sharp and she could get infected by some.
Kida brushed her long brown hair out of her face and swum just above Icarus again following him before moving to his side.

The Coral slowly faded out at Kida saw less fish but more open sea, she wondered what Icarus had wanted her over here for, Kida saw some larger fish far away and quickly linked her hand in Icarus' she pushed her body close to his but the larger fish moved on, she was a competent swimmer but compared to the local sea creatures who lived there she wouldn't stand a chance. Icarus swum down and Kida followed he pointed to a Large Clam, he picked it up and Kida took it settling on the ocean floor Kida wondered if there was a pearl inside, she had seen some at the markets and they were a stunning colour. Kida easily managed to open the clam and froze, bubbles escaped from her face when she finally realized what she was looking at a stunning ring stood in the middle of the clam, contrasting beautifully with the pearly colours of the shell, Kida picked iot up carefully and looked at it, it was perfect, something she couldn't have designed better herself. Kida looked up at Icarus who was on his knee on the sea bed, she opened her mouth and a few more bubbles escaped, she didn't know what to do or say, she just let the bubbles drift from her mouth.
Kida could just make out what Icarus was saying but he didn't need to say anything, she put one hand to her mouth and broke the bubble spell allowing the cool water to hit her lips but she didn't are, the water around her wanted to slow her down but she cut through it to get close to Icarus. Once in front of him she paused and smiled widely, nodding her head in excitement she wrapped her arms around Icarus' neck and her legs around his was it pulling her whole body towards him 'Yes, Yes a million times yes' she exclaimed underwater, some bubbles escaping from her mouth as she talked. Kida pressed her lips tightly against his enjoying the cool sensation of the water between their lips, she didn't care if she ran short of air, she was happy and over the moon right now. Kida pulled away and held the ring out to Icarus, she wanted him to place the ring on her finger, properly like tradition, Kida held out her left hand, she was glad she was underwater so he couldn't see her tears of joy.
