Tessaria was glad to be back at school, although she didn’t like the idea of having to take extra classes. She felt as though she was already getting quite a bit of homework each semester, and she really hoped that it wouldn’t put too much pressure on her. She spoke with her father about it during the break however and he reassured her that she would be fine, but he was always so positive about anything and she wondered where he could ever draw the line.

The girl wanted to make the most of her time with not so much homework just yet, so she made her way out to the lakefront to soak in some sun and spend some time with nature whilst she could. She made her way to the edge of the lake, took off her socks and shoes, and placed her feet inside the cold water. She didn’t realise just how cold it would be however until she had done it, but there was no turning back now. Her feet were sure to turn to ice soon. She looked out at the water and squinted into the distance. She wondered just how big the lake was, and if she’d get into trouble if she decided to just jump straight in and find out.

Mania was so happy to be back at school. Not only had her heart broken to thousand bits after she found out the traitor Alexander had a girlfriend, her rooms bare walls back at home now also stood as a reminder of it. She may or may not have taken all her posters and pictures down and burned them in their backyard in an effort to seem cooler because she'd heard the boy call them childish over the phone to his girlfriend. Though Mania regretted the impulsivity of her choices there was nothing she could do about it now.

Walking toward the lake the Gryffindor allowed her eyes to flutter closed for a bit as she took a breath in, enjoying the feeling of sunshine and fresh air. When she opened her eyes she spotted a familiar figure only a little further down standing in the water. Mania made her way towards the girl with a smile, eager to soo what her roomie might have been up to. "Ooh! We going for a swim?" She called out to Tessaria, with equal parts serious and joking in her voice.

Tess quickly turned around as a voice startled her. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she forgot that people were probably watching her. She smiled slightly at Mania. "Well, it's a bit cold, if I'm being honest." she said with a shrug. "Feel free to join me though if you'd like." Tess was sure that they would be fine to swim in the lake. She hadn't heard of any rules about not doing so. However, she didn't want to go in much farther as she wasn't sure how much longer she could handle the cold, and she definitely wasn't dressed for a swim either. "Do you know how big this lake is?" Tess asked, wondering if her roommate happened to know more about it than her.

Mania wasted no time as the invitation came, joining Tessaria by the lake. She took her shoes and socks off, not feeling like getting them wet. Thankfully she was wearing a skirt too so she didn't have to worry about trousers getting wet. As soon as the Gryffindor stepped into the water she grimaced. "Yep! You weren't lying about the cold part." She said after the shock of the cold wore off and even gave a small laugh. Nia glanced towards Tess when she asked if she knew how big the lake was and just shook her head. "Nope, not a clue." The brunette said giving the other girl an apologetic smile. "It looks big at least and isn't there like um creatures in there too or something probably? So it's probably deeper than we think." Nia said squinting at the water as though she might see beyond the very surface level of the water.

Tess smiled slightly as she watched Nia take her shoes and socks off and join her. As she mentioned that there were creatures in the lake, Tess thought for a moment. "Well, they can't be that dangerous if they're living at this school. I wonder if they've ever popped up to say hello?" Tess continued to look back out at the lake, hoping to see one of them out of the water. She hadn't heard much about the lake, but was sure there would be lots of theories about it.

Mania pursed her lips together in thought, moving one of her legs back and fort softly making the water ripple. "Yeahhh, probably nothing dangerous other wise it'd be broadcasted as a forbidden lake rather than them letting us roam freely around it." She concluded, it made sense given that the forbidden forest was constantly made clear to be off limits for students, but the lake wasn't. "Dunno, I have never seen them but someone probably has to be fair. Fifty years without anyone ever getting a lil hi sounds unrealistic." The Gryffindor said with a shrug.
