March, 2037.

Light streamed through the stained glass windows of the church in the beautiful New Zealand countryside. It was a heavenly delight to see two young people finally tying the knot after years of being together. They had met a good few years back, but it was only in recent times that they had realised their feeling for one another, and now they were to be joined in blessed holy union under the eyes of an ever watchful God.
Robert adjusted his suit as he led his bride in a bow from the place of worship and out into the street. It was a sweet village venue they had chosen for their open reception, and the happy couple found their way there on foot with a hoard of friends and relatives in tow.
Shortly, the pair reached their destination and stepped inside. Music began to play and Robert and his new bride shared their very first dance as husband and wife. After the applause from those who witnessed, Robert headed over to the open bar to get his first drink of the night. Out of the corner of his eye, he spied something displeasing.
Oh Merlin, he begged internally, not here.. Not now, please.

Larissa had found the invitation in the post early one morning. It had been personally delivered by Ted the raven, which meant it had to be from someone who wanted her in attendance of the wedding. And so, Larissa donned her best robes and arrived at the reception hall at the designated hour. She entered the building in time to see the first dance just ending. Then her eyes found Robert. This was not the perfect moment to tell him, but she needed to. She felt in her pocket for the note she had pre-written. Here goes nothing.
Larissa made a small waving gesture to Robert, so as not to attract too much attention. The bride was already dancing tipsily with her bridesmaids. Larissa paced, unnoticed, towards the bar, joining her ex-boyfriend and ordering herself a drink of wine. "I feel congratulations are in order," she intoned darkly.

Varvara was too busy dancing to notice what drama was just beginning to unfold between Robert and Larissa. Robert stared long and hard at the blonde woman he had once loved with all his heart, and then he glowered. "You're not welcome here. I would like you to leave. I don't care what past history we have, or what happened between us, okay? This is my wedding day, Larissa, and I'd like you to respect that." Robert could not believe that she would have the audacity to turn up- actually, no, this was Larissa, of course she would turn up. He might have known.. But how had she known the time, date, and location of the wedding?
