After leaving her brother's restaurant The Three Broomsticks after enjoying some lunch Kida found herself with a free day, She had changed the training schedule and her work schedule did not require her on the grounds, Scarlet was in school, Leo was in Magical Daycare she had no mysterious half siblings show up on her doorstep to care for nor any family members dramatically trying to re-enter her life, she wasn't sure what to do with herself.
Moving her bag off her shoulder she crossed it over her chest and decided to go for a walk around brightstone, she had nothing else to do with her time.

Aimlessly walking Kida walked past a shop which had been redesigned and built by a new owners and she paused to admire it's new facade, a few years ago it was going to be her Husband's shop, he had taken off around the world to get magical recipe after magical recipe to recreate and sell but he had not returned, she got a few owls every few weeks but she hadn't seen him in years, she decided to sell the shop although his owls made it seem like he wanted to keep it but she wasn't going to waste time or funds on a restaurant with no patrons or chefs, she had considered giving it to her brother to create a new restaurant but it was her husband's vision and where ever he was he didn't seem to be interested in returning to her or her children any time soon.

Pausing she looked down to her left hand and admired the ring on her finger, she remembered when Icarus had given it to her, he whisked her away to a mysterious location and proposed, and aside from the actual wedding or conceiving their son Leonidas she hadn't seen him since, he returned briefly when Leo was almost one and then disappeared again only sending owls occasionally which felt less and less like him every time.
The small hairs on her neck stood up, she could sense someone standing really close behind her, a deep voice said something and she slowly lowered her left hand she was staring at and turned quickly putting her hand on the neck of the person creepily standing just behind her.

'Aeon, I swear, If you do that creepy voice next to me one more time I WILL snap your neck' she said with her hand firmly placed on her throat, a few onlookers watched and she twisted her hand pretending to snap his neck before letting go and shaking her finger in his face. 'Next dinner I'm giving you one less potato'

Aeon wasn't generally a fan of Brightstone Village. The Borely Mansion in the distance gave him the creeps, and the village itself didn't have the same variety of interest as Obsidian Harbor did, though it may have just been loyalty to the community he ran a shop in. Today however, the man had gone out to browse Dervish and Banges to see if there were any new interesting items in stock. Typically, there wasn't, and it certainly felt as if very few of the stores ever took the time to refresh their inventory. A handful of businesses felt stagnant, unchanged since he was young, and while it retained a somewhat nostalgic feeling, he wanted to see things move forward.

The wizard almost passed right by his own cousin as he walked down the street, stopping as he recognised her from her reflection in a nearby store window rather than from behind. She lived nearby, though he hadn't expected to run in to her today. Sneaking quietly up, Aeon hovered just over her shoulder, deliberately breathing heavily down the back of her neck. "Are ya lost, little girlie?" He growled in a low voice, a decision he immediately regretted as Kida spun around and took him by the throat. "Aggressive." Wheezing once she left him go, rubbing at his own neck. "Sparing me your cooking doesn't sound like much of a punishment for scaring you." Despite teasing her, his cousins cooking was fine, and her Italian background definitely influenced her meals at times. It beat his attempts at cooking easily. "What are you doing loitering around?"

Kida smirked at Aeon's struggles at her grip on his neck, he should have known better from the few time he chose to pull the same trick on her at home which usually ended up in her throwing various utensils at him or smacking him behind the head. 'I could think of a worse punishment if you'd like' she offered wondering if he would come up with a suggestion.

Tilting her head slightly she let out a sigh 'I went to have some food at The Three Broomsticks and see how Ashton was and then I realized I had nothing to do, No school, No kids, so I went for a walk' she gestured at the building they were in front of 'I almost forgot about this place, My Husband was going to turn this shop into a restaurant, and I sold it a month ago' she looked down at her ring 'Don't even know if he realizes I haven't had an Owl since before I sold it. But it's hard to get upset with a Man who I haven't seen since Leo was one' she scoffed at the thought of it, her getting upset over a man who she hasn't seen almost eight years, who's only communication was Owls every other month if she was lucky with vague updates on where he was, vague responses when he would return and asking her confusing twisted questions about his family which she had no clue how to answer.
'Anyway, What are you doing this side of town? I thought you were scared of the Borely Mansion, It's not that far from here, aren't you shaking in your boots?' she teased.

Aeon looked at his cousin with a slightly bemused smile, but he opted not to pursue the topic and instead listened as she continued with telling him about her afternoon and what she was in the village for. "I completely forgot Ashton managed the broomsticks. How is he doing?" Aeon asked curiously. He didn't particularly associate the man with responsibility, and it was difficult to imagine him managing a pub on his own. It was odd to think he used to have a crush on the guy.

Something else that came as a surprise was the fact that Kida had sold her husbands store. Aeon couldn't remember the last time he'd seen Icarus, he'd practically disappeared off the face of the earth. What kind of person left his wife on her own for eight years and only corresponded by owl? There was no way anyone could be that busy that they were unable to see their family for eight years, even if they were overseas. The whole situation came across as somewhat suspicious, and he couldn't understand how Kida had remained loyal for so long. "How are you and Icarus still a thing? You don't think that maybe he's not come back because he has a new family and he's just too much of a coward to tell you?" It was ridiculous. If Brodie ever disappeared for even so much as a year and only owled him to communicate, he didn't know what he'd do.

Asking her how her half brother was she gestured back towards the shop 'Go in and have a meal, He's found his calling finally thank merlin' she said crossing her arms and shaking her head, she didn't know if he would ever get on his feet, he spent most of his life with her just doing nothing but eating and sleeping, who knew he had an interest in creating the food he was consuming.
'He's well, I think now he's just working, eating and sleeping, huge change from when he was at home'

Aeon raised some good points about Icarus 'Honestly because I think he needs to sign the forms so we can get divorced' she said unfolding her arms and moving her cross body bag around so she could reach into it 'Eight years ago, He's probably had a few wives' she said deflecting trying not to admit that the thought had crossed her mind multiple times. Kida pulled out a letter an owl she received that week 'The most recent Owl' she said handing it to Aeon

Kida,
How have you been? How's Leonerdas? Have you had a chance to go around to the old family house lately? I know you've been busy. Maybe we can meet there?
My best, Icarus
<SIZE size="50">

'I mean, I haven't bothered to look for him because I don't need him in my life, I'm quite capable of raising two children alone plus a Quidditch Team to Captain and compete for plus being a professor' she ran her hands through her hair realizing how overwhelming her life must sound 'but honestly, I don't know what to do. He can't even spell his own son's name correctly, does he even write these or does his mistress do it for him.' she swung her bag back behind her in frustration, her eyes glimmering slight gold from her animagus form, which surfaced when she felt angry and not in control, the one thing she wanted to do was curl up in her Animagus form in front of the fire because there were no responsibilities for a wolf.

Summers was relieved to hear that, after everything, all Kida was doing at this point was waiting for Icarus to sign the divorce papers. "Honestly, I think you could get away with simply forging a signature." He mused. It wasn't like the man was going to suddenly pop up now to contest it. It was best for both of them to simply move on with their lives. It was just a shame his cousin had wasted so much time being with him.

Skimming over the contents of the letter given to him, Aeon handed it back with a frown, while Kida rattled off how successful she was yet again. He'd heard it all a thousand times, how she was doing this and that. It was a surprise that she hadn't yet tried to give herself eight arms to multi-task with more effectively. "The impossibly amazing Kida Frost. Quidditch Captain. Transfiguration Professor. Animagus. Single mom. The woman who single-handedly escaped the clutches of a dark wizard. What will she do next? Tune in to next week's episode of Kida's Crazy Escapades™ to find out. With a guest appearance from Harry Potter himself!" Aeon responded with his best impression of a radio presenters voice. He thought he was a busy person teaching students at the school and running the menagerie, but at least he had Brodie to help him get along.

Smirking at her cousin's smart remark 'Yeah because it's so easy to just forge a signature, You have to go in to get a divorce' she said shaking her head 'I wonder if I can get an annulment, as far as I'm concerned, he could have been killed years ago and this is just correspondence by some crazy person who's secretly in love with me' she joked, taking the letter back and putting it back into her bag.
'Does the Ministry have a Magical Marriage Section?' she quipped.

Mocking her wasn't the smartest thing Aeon chose to do, she listened to him go on and she flicked her hair off her shoulder 'You forgot Quidditch Team Owner, and ex Ministry Official' her toned clearly messing with him in return although she couldn't help but shiver at the mention of her escape from the dark wizard 'I wouldn't call it an escape' she mumbeled.
Shaking herself out of it she turned to her cousin 'So What are you doing in Brightstone you Obsidian elitist?, Looking for my Missing possibly dead husband? or finding me a new one'
