Anthony Jackson and Clem had been toing and froing for a little while now. They both knew that they had feelings for each other, but until now Anthony hadn't really felt like the moment was right to make a move. He thought back to the Post-Quidditch Party where she'd witnessed that girl, Geo, had kissed him like it had been absolutely nothing, and Anthony had had to explain to Clem that the only person he'd wanted to kiss had been her. He'd meant that, and she had forgiven him after the fact, but he had also begun planning a little surprise for her.

This morning on his way out of the common room, he'd asked her to meet him in the Garden after dinner. While he'd waited, he'd used his magical prowess lumos spell to set up a few lights around the area and he'd enlisted the help of some of the other patch members to set up a little display with her favorite flowers - the orange ones - and he'd arranged them into a small heart. He sat in the middle with a couple of drinks and a small bit of food he'd managed to secure from the kitchens, and he waited for her to arrive.

Clementine had been spending a lot of time with Anthony and she enjoyed it a lot even though she didn't know exactly where they stood as friends or more than friends. So one day when he asked her to meet him at the gardens she happily accepted because she liked spending time with him and especially liked being in the gardens so she was looking forward to it. After dinner she headed out to the gardens instead of going back up to the common room wondering if Anthony would be there already or meet her later.

As she walked into the gardens she saw a few lights twinkling around the gardens which was new but they seemed to be guiding her toward something. Clementine smiled and followed them and then saw Anthony sitting there surrounded by her favorite orange flowers. A second later she realized it was in the shape of a heart and she giggled and said, "Hey!" because she didn't know what else to say. "What's all this?" she beamed, taking a seat beside him.

Anthony smiled when he saw Clem in the distance and he grinned when he saw her face when she took in his surprise. "Hey yourself!" He said with a wink. He was happy that she had found her way out here, and even happier that she hadn't forgotten about him. He gave her a smile when she sat down next to him, giving her a quick kiss and a half hug. "Well.. it's pretty obvious that I like you, and I had a feeling that you might feel the same way about me.. so I wanted to do something nice to show you that I'm serious." He said with a slight chuckle. "And I wanted to make things official between us." He told her, taking her hand and intertwining it with his own. He didn't want her to think that he would ever lead her on, she was way too cute for anyone to do that, especially not Anthony. She made him happy, and he hoped that she really did mirror his feelings.

It wasn't hard to guess what Anthony was getting at with his set up, but it had caught Clementine off guard and she couldn't seem to stop smiling. She laughed lightly when he said he had a feeling she felt the same way and simply responded, "Of course I feel the same." Her cheeks were flushed but not from being embarrassed at saying something like that but rather just from warmth and being so happy. "So like, boyfriend and girlfriend?" she asked, getting butterflies in her stomach at the sound of those words. "Yes!" she exclaimed, leaning in to give him a quick kiss as confirmation.

Anthony rolled his eyes when she confirmed that she did indeed share the same feelings that she had felt. Not to mock, though, simply because he found it funny the way she had stated it so outright, but then again he had done the same thing. He burst into a smile at her reaction, and he was quite happy with how happy she seemed to be with his proposal. "Yes, boyfriend and girlfriend." He said with a light chuckle. It was a good sign, for sure, but he still found himself nervous for some reason while he waited for her to respond. He had every reason to think that she was going to say yes, but there was always that chance she would say no. He found himself greeted with a kiss after she said yes, and he kissed her back with a huge smile. When he pulled away, the smile didn't disappear. It probably wouldn't. "That was easier than I had thought it would be." He said, gently kissing her nose before lying down on his back.

Clementine smiled when Anthony confirmed what she said about them being boyfriend and girlfriend. She liked him a lot because things between them had happened so naturally, but now that they were "official" she wondered what was supposed to change. She wished she could ask her older sisters but they were both extremely snippy and shooed her away every time she tried to ask them about any type of relationship advice so Clementine didn't know who else to ask. The Hufflepuff laughed when Anthony said that had been easier than he thought and replied, "Did you think I would say no?" She laughed lightly at the idea, because it was obvious that Clementine liked the boy and she didn't shy away from her feelings so it wasn't hard to figure out what her answer would be.

Anthony gave Clementine a smile when she asked if he hadn't been sure whether or not she would say yes. It wasn't worth thinking that something was a sure thing because she could have always said no. But he pushed those negative thoughts away, and just continued smiling at her. "All that matter she is that you said yes, and now you're stuck with me!" He said with a grin. He enjoyed her company, and things had been really nice between them. He owed her a lot since she had helped him to identify his brother and no doubt she would help him out when he eventually confronted him. He noted that she looked a little bit confused, "Everything okay?" He asked, a half smiled lighting his features.

Clementine giggled when Anthony said she was stuck with him and replied, "As long as you don't get sick of me either." She liked that they were both Hufflepuffs so they could spend as much time as they wanted together. She looked up when he asked if everything was okay and she nodded. "Yeah I was just wondering what is supposed to change now that we are boyfriend and girlfriend," she asked, nudging him playfully when she said the words that gave her butterflies. She was genuinely curious to see what was supposed to be different and wondered if Anthony knew.

Anthony smiled when Clementine suggested that he could get sick of her. He doubted that would happen, her happiness was infective and he could see anyone who spent time with her would want to be close to her. Anthony had seen her a lot around the common room and in classes before they had officially met, so he had no doubt that they would be able to spend a whole bunch of time together. He gave her a relaxed look when she asked what had to change, "Why do things have to change? What we have right now works so well." He said with a smile. Things were so comfortable when he was with Clementine, and he would hate to see things change just because they were a couple.

"You're right," Clementine considered as he answered her question. She smiled at him happily accepting his response. She supposed the only difference between before and now was that they were exclusive and Clementine was perfectly okay with that. She picked up one of the orange flowers from around them and twirled it in her fingers, then tucked it behind Anthony's ear, laughing at the sight of it. "Thanks for remembering what my favorite flowers were," she added happily.

Anthony smiled at his girlfriend when she agreed with him. He was glad that they were able to sort that out, as he didn't want to make things too complicated especially since they had only just started out. He found himself so relaxed around her, and it was a good feeling. He blushed a little bit as she pushed the flower behind his ear, and found himself happy that the two of them were alone, even though he had a feeling that he wouldn't mind even if they were in the middle of the Great Hall. He loved the way her laugh sounded. "Seeing that beautiful smile, and the way your cheeks flush, makes it worth remembering all of your favourite things." He said with a smile, kissing her gently on the forehead.
